Chapter 63

Chapter 63 - Go Away!

Ye Hao struck the woman in white across the face with a slap.

She let out a scream and vanished into a wisp of green smoke.

With a stern look, Ye Hao scanned the horizon until he spotted the woman in white perched on a beam. “Did you think I wouldn't see you hiding up there?” he called out.

Fear etched itself across the woman's face.

It was then she realized that Ye Hao was a master.

Desperate to flee, the woman in white made her move, but Ye Hao was quick to draw his bronze dagger.

When Ye Hao wielded the dagger, a chilling sword intent enveloped the room.

The woman in white let out another scream, her body frozen as if under a spell, unable to move.

“Master, have mercy,” she pleaded.

Ye Hao approached her with determined steps. “Why haven't you sought reincarnation?”

?”I have a vengeance to exact.”

“The moment you took your own life, you severed all ties with the living,” Ye Hao stated flatly.

“I refuse to accept that,” the woman in white growled softly.

“Whether you accept it is your concern, just don't interfere with me,” Ye Hao replied, sheathing the bronze dagger as the woman in white watched in astonishment. “You may leave.”

“Thank you, Master,” she said with a respectful bow before drifting away.

Once the woman in white had departed, Ye Hao could still sense a trace of Shadow Essence.

“Looks like I need to set up a Solar Concentration Formation.” The Shadow Essence had little effect on Ye Hao, but it could harm Tang Pianpian.

Ye Hao had all the memories of the black dragon, most of which pertained to cultivation.

He was confident that with his knowledge, not even Mei Xinxue could surpass him.

Given the woman's modest level of cultivation, there was no need for an advanced Solar Concentration Formation.

Ye Hao waited until the local convenience store opened, then bought several mirrors and arranged a Solar Concentration Formation. As the first sunlight entered the room, the Shadow Essence visibly dissipated.

Checking the time, Ye Hao hurried down the street to his bedroom.

Upon opening the bedroom door, Zheng Xiaolong immediately looked at Ye Hao's hands and asked, “Ye Hao, why didn't you bring breakfast?”

Ye Hao felt slightly uneasy.

Was he really expected to bring breakfast for Zheng Xiaolong?

“I didn't have any money on me earlier,” Ye Hao stated coolly.

“Well, make sure you bring some when you go for your run tomorrow morning,” Zheng Xiaolong said, feigning helpfulness.

Zheng Xiaolong had no shame.

“If you hadn't mentioned it, it would have slipped my mind,” Ye Hao said with a smile. “You still owe me for yesterday's meal, by the way.”

“Ye Hao, that's where you're wrong,” Zheng Xiaolong retorted with displeasure. “How much can a meal cost? I've never known anyone to be as petty as you.”

“I can't help it; we're not well-off at home,” Ye Hao replied cheerfully. “Laoshi, you owe me five yuan for your meal. Gaoxing, yours is four yuan. Xiaolong, you also owe me four yuan.”

“Here you go,” Xiao Laoshi quickly said, handing Ye Hao a five-yuan bill.

Yuan Gaoxing rifled through his wallet and remarked, “I don't have any small change on me. How about I treat you to lunch instead?”

Upon hearing this, Zheng Xiaolong chimed in, “I'll get you breakfast next time.”

“Fine,” Ye Hao conceded. He had easily spotted a stash of coins in Zheng Xiaolong's drawer, yet Zheng Xiaolong claimed he had none.

If Ye Hao pressed Zheng Xiaolong for the money, it would only lead to a fallout.

Truthfully, Ye Hao wasn't concerned about the money itself.

It was Zheng Xiaolong's attitude that he found repulsive.

The military training continued with marching drills.

During a break, Zhang Lan casually took a seat next to Ye Hao.

This left many of the boys in the class feeling forlorn.

Zhang Lan's actions made it clear to anyone that she had feelings for Ye Hao.

“What did you do yesterday afternoon?”

“I was busy with some things,” Ye Hao replied.

“Like what?”

Ye Hao just smiled as he looked into Zhang Lan's eyes.

“Why are you smiling?” Zhang Lan asked, trying to look stern.

“You already know, so why ask?” he responded.

“How do you know Tang Pianpian?”

“Isn't Tang Pianpian known by everyone at our school?”

“Meng Yongyan has declared he'll challenge you on the basketball court at twelve-thirty today.”

“He's certainly making a big deal out of it,” Ye Hao observed.

“Meng Yongyan is the vice president of the Basketball Association. He has a lot of supporters at the school.”

“No matter how many supporters he has, it's irrelevant to me.”

“Aren't you going to take up the challenge?”

“Just because he challenges me, does that mean I have to accept?”

“You really march to the beat of your own drum,” Zhang Lan said with a smile. “But I should warn you, Meng Yongyan isn't the type to let things slide easily.”

“He'd better not keep pushing this issue,” Ye Hao replied with a slight smile. “Otherwise, I'll have to set him straight.”

“Do you even play basketball?” Zhang Lan's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

“I'm familiar with the basics, but beating him won't be an issue,” Ye Hao stated confidently. His current level of agility and precision meant his shooting was nearly flawless.

“That confident, huh?”

“Absolutely.”

“Shameless.”

“You're just too young to understand.”

Zhang Lan's military uniform hung loosely on her, concealing her figure. More notably, she was quite petite in the chest area.

“You're such a creep,” Zhang Lan declared, standing up.

Ye Hao watched her walk away, utterly baffled.

“What did I do to upset her?” he asked Yuan Gaoxing.

“Don't you realize how inappropriate your comment was?” Yuan Gaoxing replied with a smirk.

“What do you mean?”

Yuan Gaoxing gestured towards his chest and explained, “Zhang Lan is attractive and has a great figure. Her only shortcoming is her chest size. I'd say she's an A cup.”

Zheng Xiaolong chimed in, “Actually, in Ubliasia, over forty percent of women are A cup. And really, there's not much difference between a C cup and a D cup.”

“I saw a Google survey that said 64 percent of women in China are A cup, indicating that many don't have large breasts,” Xiao Laoshi added.

“You guys seem to know a lot about this,” Ye Hao laughed.

“Knowing doesn't do any good,” Xiao Laoshi sighed.

“What's the matter?”

“Yesterday, I asked Lee Shuang to be my girlfriend, but she turned me down.”

“It's okay. You can always pursue someone else.”

“Do you want to hear how Lee Shuang rejected me?”

“Tell me about it.”

“She asked me what my blood type was. I told her B. She said she was B too. Then she said any kids we'd have would be idiots.”

Ye Hao was taken aback and asked, “She really said that?”

“Yeah.”

“She's clearly rejecting you.”

“I know.” Xiao Laoshi scratched his head, looking dejected.

“Don't be downhearted. I'll set you up with a girlfriend.” Ye Hao glanced over at his classmates. His gaze quickly brightened. “Laoshi, what do you think about that girl?”

Xiao Laoshi saw the girl Ye Hao was pointing to and shuddered, “Can you not joke about this, please?”

“What's the matter?”

“She's as dark as an orangutan.”

“Well, you're pretty dark-skinned yourself.”
