[Eon's POV: ]

-Oooooooooooong!

He first covered both of us in a protective barrier, a light elemental magic spell of (tier-8), something that was bare minimum for us to survive in an extreme environment such as the one present outside.

"You are late, headmaster."

He was late, it has been four days since he last said anything about going out, but he was not even sorry for that.

"Haha, things happen, you two. I know you can understand that."

He did not say much after that and just started floating upwards, and along with him, the two of us who were covered in another set of spells also started floating upwards towards the phenomenal fake dorm sky present above us.

"This barrier really is something else."

This firmament was no simple barrier.

This thing, it was made with the combined efforts of many people and was something so amazing that even Lucy admired it greatly.

If Zoe was here, even she would say this is a pretty looking barrier.

"If you want notes, we can discuss it after we go back. I am pretty sure you can help us improve this further."

"It would be my honour-."

"Hey! I am here as well! Why are you two just chatting between yourselves?"

Rein was here, of course. She was here and she had been here.

The headmaster was not ignoring her, it was just that he was busty avoiding most of the questions that I wanted to ask him that he did not even pay much attention to her until we flew up to the barrier.

She could see the true nature of this barrier but she could not look outside of this barrier.

There was almost a thick layer of spells superpositioned on one another.

She knew there was something else beyond it, she knew the nature of what was beyond this place, and she could faintly see some kind of redness through the spells and the web that was covering this dorm.

But she could not see beyond it.

Even with her eyes that could see beyond an original truth and see the creatures of outer space, with her eyes that had accidentally seen the entire world for a moment, she could not see what was present beyond this barrier because the truth of this barrier– was this barrier in itself.

It was just what she was seeing. This barrier was in its truest form. So, she could not figure out what this place was until Eon announced it.

"This is going to be a little bright, so prepare yourself."

We were passing through the barrier now. And, just the barrier was so thick it seemed like we had already crossed almost three floors worth of distance upwards.

The headmaster was smiling, Rein was pouting at him, and though it was a heavy night until now, now that we were going to witness the world of primordial land, my heart was kind of beating excitedly.

-Ooooooooong!

As he said, the light that bombarded our eyes as soon as we passed through the barrier was pretty intense.

"...wow."

She adapted to the light faster than me, and even though it took me a minute, what appeared before my eyes was most certainly something that was in fact a scenery of a primordial land that I had imagined.

"Is this hell…?"

A redscape… that was the only way I could describe this place.

"No, haha. Hell is pretty hot, but it looks a lot better than this abomination."

An endless red land stretching all the way to the horizon. Cracked ground with heat, life like magma seeping out of it.

The air was saturated with the blazing energies of the primordial volcanic region, so much so that even after being covered by all these spells, we could feel it right on our skins.

The ground crunched underfoot, a mosaic of cooled lava flowing in shades of crimson, ochre, and obsidian.

Jagged obsidian mountains, black and glassy in the harsh sunlight, clawed at the sky. Their slopes were dusted with a fine grey ash, like the powdered remains of countless long-dead giants– or better, a snow covered land.

'It somewhat reminded me of 'that' time, but there was no grass field like we had back in the great forest. This was a red mountain region and the heart of this mountain region was the volcano– the primordial furnace of a forgotten Red Dragon, the [{( Limunart )}].

In the distance, plumes of pure white smoke billowed lazily from the heaven piercing active volcano, a stark contrast against the crimson expanse above.

'The home of a divine original dragon…'

This was a fantastical land of this planet's original glory.

Here and there, twisted shapes of volcanic rock jutted from the earth, petrified remnants of a fiery past. The only vegetation that dared survive here was a smattering of twisted, heat-resistant lichens clinging desperately to the rock faces, their pale blue a stark contrast to the barren landscape.

"How does it look in your eyes, Rein?"

-Tssssssss…

A constant hiss filled the air, a reminder of the ever-present heat that emanated from the earth's core. Every so often, a tremor would ripple through the ground, sending shivers down even our spine and a plume of ash drifting skyward.

"I… don't know, really."

If this place looked so amazing even to my eyes, just how much more amazing would it look in the eyes of the being that sees the truest nature of everything?

I wanted to know the answer… and I was not the only one.

"If you are going to share your vision, can I join in as well?"

I was holding her hand ever since we started floating up. And now, there was a distinct white light shining through our hands.

He knew what this light was, so he asked us politely.

And even though Rein was still upset at him, she did not say anything even when I held his hand and cast the Solnova spell to connect our visions.

-Ooooooooong!

We connected our visions and saw what Rein was seeing… but, contrary to our excitement, what we saw was a completely different place than what we were seeing.

"What is this…?"

I was confused for a moment.

What I was seeing was actually pretty vague.

Instead of just some red, black, and ashen white, what she was seeing through her truth seeing eyes was more like a colourful vague image that seemed to contain all kinds of… colours?

'This is complicated.'

There were some colours that were simple, while some colours were highly difficult for even me to understand.

The physical landscape was gone in this vision.

We were just looking at constantly moving colours of various shapes and sizes.

"Is this how you see everything, Miss Elle?"

"No… this is the first time, even for me."

The headmaster was fascinated.

He could tell what this was, what we were seeing, what these dancing colours were and why they seemed more like sound instead of something one could See.

Each colour had its distinctness. Everything that we saw was independently and collectively distinct and at the same time… this was absurd!

"If you two don't understand what you are seeing, try remembering what you were seeing just now. Think about where you are and what this place is. You will figure it out."

There was a unique warm expression on the headmaster's face.

He was smiling, but he was also impressed.

Even for him, it seemed like this was a unique, one of a kind experience.

"This place is the primordial volcano, normally, this place looks just like a volcanic region, there are not that many special things aside from the heat of this place, the smell, the sounds, and the distinct sulfuric taste in the air-."

She was contemplating it, thinking all kinds of things, but his hint was simple and quite precise.

"The second story of genesis."

"Is that what you call it? Haha!"

His hint was simple. He wanted us to think about what this place was… it was a primordial land that was one of the only few places in this entire world that had relatively never changed since the dawn of this world.

Just now, we were looking at a volcanic region that was filled with all kinds of unique energies that were mostly so hot that it was creating an environment in which not that many people, mortals could survive.

This place used to be the home of a divine being, but until now, I had never thought deeply about why of all the scorching lands in this entire world, that being might have chosen this place as Their home.

But now, I somewhat know the answer.

"The colours represent energies of various wavelengths, the formlessness of these energies points at the 'nature' of the world and the 'individual' and what we are ultimately perceiving is the divine nature of this primordial land that itself had gained the divine power."

It was not easy to understand for someone like us who could not perceive or control the divine power yet, but in theory, this was pretty simple to understand.

"Unlike truths of various kinds and types, the existence of 'divinity' is individual."

Divinity was pretty much an authority and an energy as well, but all beings who possess a divine power did not possess the same divine power.

The divine 'power' in itself was not an original energy like Solnova or Aether, but a 'privilege' of those who had achieved it.

"We can call this a divine land as well."

Heavens, hell, spirit world, the land of fallen gods, the world of beyond, Realms… and even among them, the lands of the divine.

This was one of the places that had earned divinity from the very world that it was part of.

'Even though this 'place' was ultimately also part of the world, its current distinct nature had given it a uniqueness that was distinct from most the other places present in this world.'

There was a reason why it must have happened, but we did not know the 'cause' that resulted in what we were seeing right now.

But the fact that what we were seeing right now was in fact something 'unique' even in the eyes that saw 'truth' was in fact, the truth.

"Let's not make things too complicated."

This was actually unexpectedly much more fun than I expected.

'This absurdity was in fact fascinating not just to me, but to the two present with me as well.'
