Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 931 Strength of transcendents

[Rein's POV: ]

Looking at a 'place' not a person, being, or something that is alive was a new experience for me.

'The only time we have seen someone possessing divinity is when we met Wali and her partner. But, that was a different kind of experience.'

We had never seen a place that itself possessed divinity, the power of perhaps the highest grade that signified one's unique authority in this world.

'From what I personally knew about this power until now were common things that I have learned by myself or things that Eon was 'allowed' to tell me.'

I was new to all of this and unlike him, I had not learned from someone that possessed a great lot of knowledge about this world, and the concepts that were never meant to be explained.

"I've not been here many times, so I might not know everything about this place as you expect me to."

"Nah. You're still amazing."

The headmaster was being humble saying that.

He knew a great lot of things about this place already, and not just this place, he knew a lot of things about even the places that he had never been to or things about things that he had never known the existence of.

'He possessed divine power not as an archmage, but as a unique existence of this world.'

But his divinity was still in its budding stage. It had not bloomed from what we can tell.

'It was a step higher than us, but many steps below Wali and the beings who are called gods or even the divine beasts.'

He might be somewhat of a match for the demon nobles, but even to him, a demon king might be an unfathomable existence at this point.

Still, he was called a 'perfect existence' for a reason.

"Anyway, headmaster. Why did you choose this place of all the places?"

We were done looking at the scenery before us, so we were now looking around the place before we went to see the creatures that exist in this unique primordial region.

There were a great lot of beings that we needed to check, things that Eon needed to do, and even things that we needed to see before we went back.

And, our time was limited, so we would have to hurry.

"This place used to belong to a unique being that ruled over this entire region.

It was a very powerful beast, but I subdued it and sealed it away for the time being.

Look over there."

The headmaster created an illusion copy of the being that he had sealed away, and even that copy was not something simple.

"Did you use a (tier-10) spell or what? How did you make it like this?"

"Well, I did use a high tier spell, but that creature is a creation of many spells' combinations. You can say it is also a product of my world authority."

"Hmm? Wait, really?"

He was not hiding the fact that he had used his unique authority granted to him by this very world for the creation of this phenomenal creature.

He was a transcendent being for many reasons, most of which we still do not know yet, but the fact that he had earned all the strength that he possessed was something that always fascinates me.

'Mortals are allowed to obtain this kind of strength and powers.'

Creation of this level is not limited to those gods and divine beats who possessed crazy powers and authorities in the great nature.

"If a copy is that fearsome, how amazing was the real entity?"

Eon was fascinated by the creature that was present in the open plains right beside the dorm.

A creature that perhaps seemed just like the original, but was in some way not as threatening to them as a native of this region should be to all the outsiders.

He was looking around with his special eyes, looking at many of them with his special appraising blue eyes, and observing a large part of the region from a high point of view with his detached third eye.

He was looking at the smaller beings that lived in the flowing lava, creatures that walked on the obsidian surface that was as hot as perhaps the magma itself.

There was an amazed smile on his pretty face, he was enjoying this whole thing, and the heaviness that he was carrying since earlier was also gone.

"Should we move to a different region?"

"Yes, please."

The primordial volcanic land was different from the forbidden zones present on the various continents.

Unlike the great forest or the labyrinth or the black sea or even the other places, this primordial land was open to anyone who wished to challenge the great beings that reside here.

'Grandma once told me about how she had even been to the volcanic lands of Dhargni in her younger days.'

But even as a master (tier-7) mage, she could not get past the outskirts of the volcanic region. Even grandpa who had never been to this place in his life once told me about his acquaintances who longed to see the great volcano in the central region with their own eyes.

'If I tell him we saw it after we go back, won't he be jealous of us?'

It was pretty funny. But even if seeing this unique landscape, or Redscape as he is calling it, is a unique privilege that only the two of us are getting at the moment, it is something that not many people in this world are ever going to witness with their own eyes.

'The spells that the headmaster was using were very powerful ones, and yet he was using it just to prevent any harm to us.'

Just this much signified what absurd kind of place this was and how much saturated energies in this place could affect others.

'The fact that he was unaffected by it all was somehow funny to me… he was a transcendent being, I know that, but I could not help when I think about how large the difference between our strengths actually is.'

And he was not even a complete divinity.

'If he is this powerful, just how much more powerful are Wali and her partner? Just how much more powerful will we have to be to face the individuals that they work with… individuals like the Black angel?'

The questions about how we would obtain this strength that we were supposedly meant to obtain overwhelms me sometimes… and when that happens, just ignoring all those unknown things of the distant future is the best course of action.

"We won't go any further, but if you focus a little, you will be able to see Them."

We were flying in the sky above the redscape, looking at the wonders of this primordial land.

There were many fascinating things here.

From creatures that were native to this environment to creatures that I have studied about in my energy beast research class.

There were plants here… even in this extreme condition, plant life existed, proving how tough these cute elements of nature could be.

"Are you talking about that tall tower-like thing? Are you telling me it's a living being?"

"Of course not, dummy."

After travelling for a while, we stopped at the top of an ash covered obsidian mountain. And at a distance, in an open area, a towering sculpture of red ash perhaps native to this region was standing tall, denying the effects of the soft soil below it.

"That's a nest."

At first glance, I could not understand what this amazing structure was, but when he pointed upwards and showed me what he was seeing with his special vision, even I was fascinated for a moment.

"That's an energy beast?"

"Yes."

At the very base of this tower that we could not see from this angle, a presence that I had first mistaken as an ashen mountain was resting along with what seemed to be raw gemstones.

"Perhaps one of the few that still exists in this world… a (Volcanic Queen). The birds that used to be mistaken for the Phoenix the most in ancient times."

Resembling the lords of the skies, the great eagles, with feathers as white as the owl that lives in the snow lands, a body that was covered in ashes and star glitter line obsidian fragments…

This fascinating bird was humongous!

Until it moved while we were observing, if not for Eon showing it to me with his eyes, I would have continued mistaking it for a mountain!

It was the biggest entity that I had seen until now!

And, that was not all…

"Does that… does that 'bird' fly?"

I was farid to even think how this giant bird would look like if it started flying in the skies of this redscape.

"Of course it does. It's a bird after all."

The headmaster was laughing at me, I knew that. But, just think about it.

"From what I know, they say a Queen had a wingspan that is comparable to the wingspan of a Thunderbird."

"Hmmm, not quite. The Thunderbirds are unique. Their wingspan actually changes a lot depending on their mood.

The Queens have a comparatively smaller wingspan, but it is still much larger than the Thunderbird."

I have not seen a thunderbird and I have not seen this bird flying.

But, from what I know from the stories, the thunderbirds are said to be the mythical creatures that can bring storms and are so rare that the people who have witnessed them are said to be less than the people who have seen divine creatures.

"Haaa…"

All I could do as I looked at the creature from even closer was to sigh with helplessness.

This being… one did not need truth seeing eyes or powers that can apprise things to understand the kind of unfathomable powers it possessed.

It was majestic just from the looks even without any present aura. And, the fact that it was a mother looking after her eggs made her even more dangerous than any normal being.

"She's amazing…"

Eon was mesmerised by the sheer majesty of this creature.

He could not hope to go against a creature like that as he was right now, but seeing this being gave him what he needed the most.

'The strength to speak against the people in that conference who were nowhere near the level of this being.'

A stone was lifted off his chest.

'And it was visible on his bright smile… my cutie.'
