Chapter 179: The war (6)
Chapter 179: The war (6)
Felix's patience was something that had been forged through multiple life and death situations, along with his tenacious training and adventures.
But it seemed he had met his rival when it came to patience. He knew he was currently being stalked, but he couldn't attack yet. He knew the general location of the enemy, but space was big, and when he would attack, there was a high chance his strike would be dodged.
The first strike was the most important so he could take the tempo of the fight. So he couldn't leave himself open in any situation.
The duo was waiting patiently in the darkness while he was in the light. However, that could change with the flick of a finger...
Felix's silhouette disappeared as he activated his own stealth technique making the duo panic as they realized that Felix must have found out about their location!
"Bro, do you think he had found us?"
"Most unlikely, but I guess he sensed that we are nearby and decided that hiding himself would be better than staying there."
"So what do we do now? It's obvious that his stealth techniques are better than ours..."
"All we can do is wait... we don't need to lose the initiative or else we will end up like Marquina and Binela."
Felix continued to wait while in stealth, and the twin duo did the same, which turned a deadly fight into a waiting game to see which one's patience would run out.
Felix frowned as he looked in the direction in which he sensed the duo. They felt a little bit weaker compared to Binela's pure strength. But it seemed they were smarter.
This made the current situation rather annoying.
Felix could wait and wait, but what would happen to the planet?
Would they be able to endure while he continued this hide and seek game here?
The invaders had nothing to protect, and they could run away whenever they wanted, but the humans didn't have the same ability.
Felix frowned as he slowly made his way towards the location of the twins while in stealth. He couldn't wait anymore.
It wasn't that he ran out of patience, but he was worried about what could happen to the planet while he was fighting these guys.
There were still 3 other super-powered enemies in one of the ships that could easily turn the planet over.
He wasn't sure why they weren't attacking the planet yet, but it seemed their pride might be getting in their way. It didn't seem like they wanted to crush the weaklings unless they were the last ones to fight.
Or did they want to continue fighting him?
The women surely must want to. And from the looks of it, they were a warrior race that enjoyed fighting.
How did the humans offend them in the first place?
Felix sighed. His senses have been concentrated 5 meters around him. Suddenly he could freely sense the actual location of the duo as he sent an energy punch towards that location which left cracks in the surrounding space.
The duo knew that this time they couldn't wait anymore. They pushed each other out of the way as the stealth technique they used broke away, leaving their features to be seen by Felix.
They were ugly as each of them had one eye, one arm, and one leg each. They almost looked like half of a person, and a second after they were away from each other, an attraction force appeared that put them back together.
Now that they were back together, they looked a little bit more normal. The only difference between them was their eye color, one being green and the other black.
They wore a special armor- that had ripped apart like a jigsaw puzzle when they disconnected, which was of green and black color painted with small stripes along the sides.
They talked telepathically as Felix couldn't understand a thing they said. But he could feel they were communicating:
"It seems he finally found us, bro. I guess it's time to fight, he took the initiative. So we have to take it back!"
Felix didn't wait for them to finish talking as he appeared in front of them and struck directly at the middle, trying to separate them, in this situation. He knew that separating them would weaken them considerably as they seemed to be an advanced form of conjoined twins.
Felix's attack went through a gap as the duo separated for a few seconds then attacked Felix from two different directions using their hands differently. And showing that each of them had different brains that could execute conflicting commands.
Felix's recovered his hand as he tried to strike the left part of the twins. It seemed that the twin's reactions were very fast, and he couldn't separate them unless one of them was too injured to react.
Felix's attack glided against the left side of the twin's as if he didn't attack directly the point, which was not possible.
Felix wouldn't make such a mistake at his level. He infused some hex energy into his eyes, so he could see why did his strike deviate from the target.
The moment he did that, he realized that a revolving normally invisible shield was circulating around the twins.
His strike left a ripple on it, which didn't stop even now.
Seeing Felix's gaze made them realize that their small ace was found out. But they didn't say anything as they continued to attack from different directions.
A pale orange aura slowly started to revolve around the twins as their speed and power increased considerably. Which made Felix's eyes narrow... he was at the peak of the purple aura level, but he didn't break through to the orange level yet.
Marquina was also at the peak of the purple aura level, and since these guys were weaker than Binela, she should be a little higher than them. However, this puzzled him a little as she never initiated her aura to this level when they fought.
Felix breathed out as his aura engulfed him as well, there were small parts of it that were orange, but mostly it was a full and dark purple which showed that he reached the limits of the purple level.
His aura fluctuated as he clashed against them, and he realized that as they fought, the twins were easily adapting to his fighting style and even improving. It was different compared to Binela as they were doing it way faster and more accurately, showing that they had quite the knowledge about martial arts.
However, they weren't the only ones that were improving, fighting such experienced and talented individuals made Felix's strength unlocking speed skyrocket- as he continued to push them back, which in turn, slowly made them stronger as well.
Felix put both of his hands together to the side of his body as wild energy was tamed into his hands, in the form of a small glistening red orb.
Then he picked the orb into his left hand as he started to crush it compressing it in an even smaller form until it was at the size of a pistol bullet.
Seeing that Felix was ready to attack them with an energy attack made the twins back away as they opened their side mouths. Wild hex energy appeared therein as they expelled a thick yellow beam of energy, not letting Felix finish his preparations.
Felix looked at the incoming beam of energy and snorted inside, after he fought that mountainous giant, he thought about creating a technique that would always let him win this kind of energy struggles. He let out the small bullet-sized energy bean which immediately cut through the middle of the beam showing its superiority and going straight towards the fused body of the twins.
The energy bullet was getting closer and closer to them as it easily pushed through their energy beam, making them cancel it as they separated into two parts letting the small bullet-sized bean of energy go through space and not damaging them at all.
However, the ships in the distance weren't as lucky as the compressed beam started to increase in size and hit the middle-sized ships creating a gigantic mushroom cloud that destroyed half of the fleet of the invaders and killed numerous low-level invaders creating some more breathing room for the humans who were still fighting near the planet's atmosphere, hoping that there wouldn't be any more reinforcements from the enemies.
The shockwaves from the explosion made the lower leveled ships barrel towards the planet below them while the higher leveled ships started to rock as if they were normal ships on the ocean during a stormy night.
The duo wanted to quickly rejoin- so they could continue the fight and improve their power while learning more about Felix's fighting techniques and style. So they could improve theirs.
However, this was the moment that Felix had been waiting for, he never thought that he would be able to kill them using this new technique of his, but he needed to do this so they could separate again!
The moment they tried to rejoin was the moment that Felix appeared in the middle where they were supposed to meet, grabbing ahold of both of them at the same time with herculean strength!
They tried to rejoin as a grimace appeared on their half faces at the same time. But Felix wouldn't have any of that!
