Chapter 120: Hedgehogs fight back (1)

While the hedgehogs were finishing their plans, Felix got closer to the wok full of snails and started to smell around, if he was honest with himself they did smell quite nice.

And he also wondered what type of ability would he get from the poisonous snails.

Felix watched the wok boil as the fire was burning under it while the army was getting ready to shake the hedgehogs out of the houses.

Landers approached Felix and saw the glint in his eyes, Willy had told Felix a few times that it was unknown what would happen if he ate the boiled snails as they were poisonous but Felix didn't listen to him.

Landers patted him on the head as he said:

"You want some snails?"

Felix nodded, he would have gotten them by himself but he didn't want to throw the wok to get the snails as there were still quite a lot of unboiled ones waiting around.

Landers knew that Felix would get stronger if he ate and even though he had eaten quite a lot of hedgehogs he decided to help him with this one, after all, Felix wasn't issued dark iron armor but he still easily endured the poison which showed that his body had reached durability that was unprecedented when it came to other cats.

After he fished out a few snails he threw them on the ground in front of Felix as the cat entered the big holes and started to suck out the boiled meat of the snails and eat it.

Felix could feel that the meat was very spicy and it was most likely because of its poisonous properties but with his current bodily strength his anti corps easily took care of the poison.

As for the acidic parts they didn't even do a dent on Felix's entrails.

After finishing the first snail Felix couldn't feel anything special happening so he continued to the second one, the third one, and so on until he had eaten all of the boiled snails with Landers's help, thus emptying the wok and making the allocated soldiers throw more snails until an elderly voice was heard from one of the snail shells.

"STOP IT! WE BEG YOU TO STOP IT, YOU ARE MONSTERS!"

An elderly snail slowly made his way out of his shell as he glanced at Landers and let his head down his popped out eyes looking to be subservient as he said:

"We surrender, please stop boiling my people, you have already killed around 30,000 of them and our reproduction process is very hard, please have mercy, we will be at your every beck and call!"

It seemed that under the constant pressure of death and tribe annihilation the leader of the snail tribes finally relented as they realized that there was no chance that the hedgehogs would still help them at this point, they were the ones that abandoned them in the first place so they could run away faster!

The elderly snail didn't like to bow his head to Landers and Felix but the moment he saw how Felix was eating his people so eagerly it made him realize that if he didn't give in honestly he would one day end up in the stomach of the little cat!

Felix had finished eating the last boiled snail as the troops stopped while looking at Landers for instructions, would he take the snails in or annihilate them?

Landers looked at the elderly snail and said:

"Since you are so honest in you giving up, I will accept your offer and from now on you shall be the subservient tribe to the Lion tribe but considering it impossible to make sure you will not betray us, I want you to make an oath on your ancestors that you will serve the Lion tribe faithfully."

The elderly snail would have gritted his teeth if he had any but he just said in a serious tone of voice:

"I Belgard the Third Shaman of the snail tribe swear on my ancestors that I will faithfully serve the Lion tribe along with my people until one of our tribes shall become extinct!"

The words created black energy that surged into the sky and disappeared, invisible chains started to tighten themselves around every living snail.

Landers nodded as he said:

"Now that you have done that you are officially the Lion tribe's 'allies' and we shall need your help for now."

The elderly snail nodded as he waited for Landers to pick him up, which he did.

Landers pointed towards the snails as he told his people:

"Pick up the snails and aim them at the buildings of the village! We shall make all of the hedgehogs leave them even if they want to or not!"

Felix patted his belly as he looked at the ongoing spectacle, surprisingly after eating so many snails he didn't feel like he unlocked any perk or ability that changed his body, it was quite strange.

Unknowingly to him, the poison that seeped into his body thousands of times from eating the snails tempered his already strong anti corps making him immune to most poisons.

But he couldn't know that as even though he would be able to monitor his insides during his breathing training he didn't have such a good insight that he would even see such small things as cells and their changes.

Landers and the army pointed the behinds of the snails towards the village as they unleashed their poison!

"Let's see how you will like tasting your own medicine!"

The hedgehog army leader frowned as she looked through the window and saw the purple gas coming towards them, she didn't take into account the possible betrayal of the snails, she thought that they were going to try and bring down the houses on their heads which would lead to them having a perfect counterattack...

However, they had the antidote to the poison and the spikes that lead to their ankles were durable enough to withstand the poison.

Landers frowned as he looked at the poison engulfed houses and put his hand up as he indicated for the snails to stop shooting poison out of their behinds.

He looked at the elderly snail in his hand as he asked:

"Why aren't they getting out?"

The elderly snail thought for a few seconds before saying:

"I think... I think we have given them the antidote to the poison..."

Landers tsked as he threw the snail away from his arms:

"Useless for now, get out of our way and go back to our own village."

The snail elder looked at Landers and said:

"We... can't scale the wall."

"I didn't mean right now! Just wait for us to finish but make sure you aren't in the way!"

The elderly snail nodded as he whistled making all of the snails slowly start to move towards the wall getting out of the way of the Lions.

Landers nodded seeing how things went smoothly as he looked at the nearest building.

His muscles started to tense up as he unleashed a punch so fast that it easily broke through the spikes that were meant to protect the building and created a huge hole in it making the hedgehogs in it scream as the after shockwave hit them and dizzied them.

The lion army then unleashed themselves on the dizzied hedgehogs either killing or capturing them.

Landers nodded as the headcount indicated that they have gotten rid of around 30 hedgehogs.

There were quite a lot of buildings around in the village some bigger than the others, and while the village wasn't very widely placed there were some peculiar tall buildings in the middle.

Felix looked around and started to do the same thing as Landers did, however, his paws only left a small hole in the house he chose instead of breaking it down halfway like Landers did.

The houses made of mud were actually tougher than they looked!

Felix decided to go all out as he unleashed his lightning armor and battle breathing technique before throwing his paw in front of him creating a similar shockwave to Landers, his being weaker by a few tiers, but the attack was successful as one of the walls of the house was cracked down, but unlike Landers's attack the after shockwave was absorbed by the other walls and didn't inflict any damage on the hedgehogs that stood inside.

The army attacked and continued their capturing/killing of hedgehogs.

The hedgehog leader frowned as she looked at everything that was happening, they were slowly getting closer to the place she was hiding in with a bulk of troops standing around 1,000 in number, she knew that the way they were currently placed she needed to work with guerilla tactics to defend the village but by the looks of it she would need to enforce her plan already if she didn't want to lose any more people to the greedy claws of the lions.

She closed her eyes for a few seconds before she steeled her conviction and jumped through the top of the ceiling arriving at the top of the building she was currently in.

She then sat cross-legged atop the building as he breathed in and out, her blue long spiky hair slowly started to shed and insert itself into the building creating nodes of control as the people inside started to do the same.

The normal building started to shake taking the attention of the army Felix and the others.

Suddenly more buildings started to shake as other Hedgehogs jumped to the top of them.

Very quickly the buildings stopped shaking as spiky arms and legs grew out of the sides and out of the foundation, a malevolent head engulfed those that stood atop the roofs of the buildings as the eyes of these mud and spikes giants started to glow with blue energy, the surrounding hex energy slowly started to dissipate as it was all absorbed by the newly created golems.

Thousands of golems stood in front of the Lions army as they looked at them down from heights around 2,50 meters to a maximum of 10 meters.

The tallest golem wasn't the one controlled by the leader of the military but by the shaman of the tribe who didn't make himself visible up till now!

The head of the tallest golem opened up as the shaman of the hedgehogs made himself visible.
