Chapter 170: Descision

Alex looked at his torn clothes and sighed. He couldn't say no, Hana saved him and now she wanted him to be her assistant for the job. Alex nodded and looked at Hana, "what are we doing? I remember you having a call and needing to leave so What is it actually?" Alex asked. 

Hana turned to the car and spoke, "Get in the car, I'll tell you as we head towards the mine" She spoke as she walked towards the car. 

'The mine?' Alex paused for a second, He remembered that the mine had someone in it. Or at least that was what Hades told Alex. 'Wait Hades. Where is he? I swear He should be fine after I did that And that liquid that Hana fed me, That must have helped in recovering him as well so where did he go?' Alex's brain started working, trying to figure out where Hades was. 

He still had Hades's physical forms, the two guns on his body but the actual person didn't seem to be talking at all. This was concerning for Alex as he fought on his own for the sake of not losing Hades.

'Brat I don't know what to say. These old bones were ready but you choose to not support my decision and moved on your own You got lucky in that fight. That's the only reason that you won it. Next time, Listen to me. I won't be gone forever if I do that, Just a slumber for an unknown time, The time being how long it would take for you to gain more power to feed me to wake up'

Hades seemed to be sighing, 'But nevertheless, You made the decision to do things your own way and found an answer that didn't need any of my sacrifices and I have to thank you for it. But next time, things will be different. I can guess what will happen now that you've met this girl so let me tell you this one thing. Win. No matter who comes up now, all you can do is win'

It looked like Hades had a lot to say. He continued, ' You wanted answers right? I keep on telling you the same thing, You don't have the power to get all the answers but don't fret. Every moment that you live, you're gaining power. But it's too slow. You need your body to speed up that gain. And the only way you can do It is to win. Fight as much as possible and win them all. Every time you win, You'll feel for yourself how much power is gained from that.' Hades stopped speaking. 

Alex understood everything that Hades said. He wanted to know everything. So many things were so confusing for him at this moment, why was he in this world? Where did this power come from? How does this power even work? How can he go back to his world? 

Alex had more questions on his mind but all couldn't be answered. The only answer he got till now for those questions was to get stronger. And he didn't even get a proper method to get stronger. Everything was vague but now, It seemed like things started to get more clear. He had an objective, and that was to fight. Not only fight but to win! 

It looked like a small fire was light in Alex's eyes. 

"Alright, We're going in the mine. There is a hideout inside, Most likely the place where the brotherhood of Freedom is but I'm not sure yet. I'm still investigating but I feel like my hunch on this is correct. Once We go there and my hunch was correct, it'll be a lot of battles. So you need to be ready for that, alright?" Hana spoke as she drove the car towards the mine. 

Alex nodded, He was looking forward to it. "I'm ready!" His pupils seemed to look a lot more clear, and a small spark of fire was seen in them.

Hana noticed Alex's change and smiled, "I'll take care of the strongest ones while you might have to clear up the weaker ones. But I'd like to save my power and only spend it on the main boss in there. I'm sure that the masked men are inside And If my guess is correct, It might be two of them at once. I'd like for you to take one of them" 

Alex nodded, He was ready. 

"Ah yeah, It seems like I forgot to say but Congratulations. You broke through to the peak of A rank. Just a tiny push and you'll be along with the most powerful awakeneds in the nation. You just need a few more battles and you'll gain the experience to break through." Hana explained.

Alex looked happy when he heard that, Not only was he happy but excited. Being at the S rank was an amazing feat. Only a dozen or so could reach that rank in a country. And if he got to be one of those, It would be his dream come true to stand among the S ranks. Someone who came from no power at all to being the S rank, it would be something that Alex could boast about.

Hana looked at Alex and nodded, 'It seems like it was true. Alex really might be the next one It seems unreal but for him to be that Nevertheless, I need to make sure he is powerful. I don't know what's going on fully but I have a vague idea of what it is and I know for a fact that we need Alex's power to break the curse' She turned to the roads.

'It seems like he found his path, Battle. Something surprising for someone like Alex but It makes sense. He's being affected by the dark and that's what most of them need to get more powerful, Battles. It's not really a bad thing and This next battle is probably what he needs to get to the next step and closer to breaking the curse. I need him to get more powerful quickly' Hana seemed to be a bit excited and worried.
