Volume 2 Chapter 77: Signature Move, “I’ll Think About It”

While Keith worked, Cadmus and the rest enjoyed the bread they bought at the estate.

"The egg salad sandwich is so delicious!"

"Have you tried the ham?! It's so crispy and crunchy!"

"The apple jam bread tastes so much like apple!"

They were all in awe about the bread they brought. From their selection, anyone could tell their preferences.

"I want to eat this every day!" Carolyn stated as she bit into a lemon bread. Cadmus and Julius nodded to the girl's words.

"Of course!" "This is so good!"

"Principal! Can we get one at the academy?" James questioned. He doubted whether or not he could last a day without this bread! Cadmus clapped his hands together!

"We should! Why didn't I think of that?!" It would be much easier if they had a bakery at the academy!

"We should get one at the royal capital as well!" Julius wanted one! But William shook his head,

"I don't think that's happening for a while now,"

"What?!" "Why not?!" Cadmus and Julius glared at William. Was this man trying to mess with them?! Was he trying to hog all the food for himself?!

All this delicious food was here!

"One, the ingredients will be difficult to procure. Second, the bakery is still in its testing phase," William could envision it.

Keith planned to add more items to the menu. This bakery was in its first phase.

Having too many shops was going to be a problem.

"You're right about that," Lionel nodded, "And I don't think Keith can handle so many stores at his age," Did they forget about Keith being eight years old?

There was too much for him to handle.

Heck, even running one shop was too much!

"..." No one said a thing. What Lionel and William said was right. They couldn't do anything about it.

But Cadmus stated, "Then we have no choice. William, you're getting that teleportation gate!"

"...Huh?" William blinked a few times.

"If Keith can't make another bakery in the academy or the royal capital, then we'll keep coming here," Cadmus declared.

The only thing to do was to come here!

"...You're willing to spend so much on bread?" William questioned the sanity of this ancient dragon.

Maybe he lost his mind a long time ago. How could he be so in love with it?

"Don't worry! I have more than enough coins to sponsor a gate!"

"...I'll think about it," William sighed as he sipped tea.

"That's a no!" Julius shouted,

"What do you mean?" William glared.

"Whenever you say "I'll think about it," what you really mean is, "I'm going to say something and hope they forget it!"" Julius understood his friend all too well. This man was the king of dodging situations.

His signature move was the I'll think about it!

"Who knows," William shrugged his shoulders. But that caused Cadmus and Julius to glare at him. But he was undisturbed.

"Should we save our loaves then?" James questioned as he stared down at the loaves of bread. Rationing it was the best option.

...

While William and the rest talked, Keith and the employees worked their butts off till the sun went down. Keith flipped the open sign to close. He smiled,

"Good job, everyone!"

Ralph and the others were wiping the tables clean,

"Thank you, Boss!"

"That was so much fun!"

Ruth and the others screamed out in happiness. This was the first time they had seen so many people come in like that.

"We're not finished with the job. It's time to check out how much we earned today!" Keith stated. This was the final job they had. Ralph and the others stared at the box. They had been shoving coins into it like no tomorrow.

Keith opened the box to see so many bronze coins there!

"I think we need to start counting," "Mmhmm!" Like that, everyone started to help with the counting.

It was taking too long, but it was done after some time.

"My goodness! We earned four platinum coins today!" Ralph was shocked when he saw that. It was incredible! He had never seen so many coins in here.

At most, it would be around four gold coins.

That was ten times!

"Boss, can you make something to store the coins better?" Cory questioned.

Counting the coins like this wasn't that good.

"I was thinking about doing something like that," Keith was already thinking up a way.

He looked at the others, "Here's today's wages," Keith handed them each eight silver coins.

"Thanks a lot, Boss!"

"Eight coins. I never thought I would see so much,"

"You guys earned this. You guys worked hard," Keith smiled, "Now, let's clean up the floor and prepare for tomorrow,"

"Understood!" Ralph and the rest nodded their heads. There was a fire in their eyes as they were ready to do it again!
