Chapter 129: Plapla
Chapter 129: Plapla
The man organized his thought for a good while before he managed to speak, "What's your reason why you choose that?"
"Oh? Are you sure you want to know?" The little girl asked.
The man narrowed his eyes before he replied, "Just tell me."
"Okay," The little girl's smile didn't leave her as she responded, "Simple, my father is the head of the organization you are talking about, Triangle of Sin, so how can it be possible that he would be kidnapped by them in the first place?
"And about the lover thing, I'm only nine years old, you don't expect me to have a lover this early right?!" The little girl chuckled softly as she added, "If you let me choose between my father being hold hostage by the criminal organization you are talking about and a candy trapped in a mountain full of beasts, I might choose to save the candy."
"..." The man was yet again speechless for a long time. This little kid was definitely here to cause trouble!
But wait! If he heard it right, the other party had just said that her father was the head of the infamous criminal organization, Triangle of Sin. Were his ears failing him? He narrowed his eyes in caution before he asked, "Don't tell me you're that kid..."
"Yes, I'm that kid you are thinking, Elaine De Rosa." The little girl who was named Elaine replied bluntly.
It appeared that this girl was actually one of the X-Rank Hunters!
The man was alarmed. He slowly reached his hand under the table as he immediately pushed the button hidden in there.
Not long after that, many men entered the room hurriedly as they immediately surrounded the little girl and the man sitting at the table side by side.
"I've struck it rich!" The man was excited, "Kid, don't you know how much price is in your head?"
"Haha, I know," The kid laughed leisurely making the excited man become serious and even more cautious. "It's ten million gold coins right?"
"Hurry up and get her head!" The man commanded but after a few moments, he had just noticed that all of his subordinates had their heads rolling on the ground before they kneeled and then fell on the floor with a heavy thud.
The man shuddered in fear. How could this be? The little girl didn't even make a move and all of his subordinates had all been killed just like that?! Cold sweats drenched his face as he couldn't even move a finger now. The man looked at the little girl in front of him only to see the other party smiling at him.
After a moment, he saw the other party raising her hand as she snapped her finger.
Snap!
The man was taken aback as he found himself drenched in cold sweats while gasping for a couple of mouthfuls of air. Was that an illusion?! Right now, he had found himself that was just trying to push the button to call for his subordinates. But now, he was hesitating to push the button anymore for he was afraid about what might happen.
"What did you do to me?!" The man gathered his courage as he asked.
"Oh?" Elaine continued to smile as she said, "I just let you take a glimpse in the future. Isn't it great? What do you think?"
"T-taking a glimpse in the future?" The man was flabbergasted but at the same time terrified. Either the other party was lying or not, he had felt that the monster in front of him could actually do what he had seen a moment ago.
"Yes," Elaine replied as she asked, "So what now? Is my answer correct?"
"Y-yes!" The man responded frantically. He was afraid that if he said 'no', the other party would definitely kill him.
"No," Elaine waved her elegant hand downward as a knife appeared in front of the man and immediately pierced his thighs!
The man screamed in pain but why was it that no voice was coming out from his mouth?! Tears fell from his eyes as he felt that the pain was many times painful than usual. The other party might have used a pain multiplier!
"Why do you say that my answer is correct?!" Amidst his fright, he heard the little girl in front of him saying such words. But the tone of her voice didn't even change a bit as her smile was just the same. No feelings at all! After a moment of pause, she then added, "There is no definite answer to your question. We can't say that just because the father or the mother is irreplaceable, we will choose him or her since the lover is can be replaced at any moment."
Only then the smile on Elaine's face had vanished and was replaced by a ferocious glare that was ready to kill at any moment. She seemed as if recalled something memorable as she said coldly, "For there's even a friend that cannot be replaced by just anyone, and even if you flip the heavens and earth, you will not be able to find someone similar to that friend. How much more if that friend became your lover? Can he even be replaced in your heart? Will you still be able to choose your father or your mother you deemed irreplaceable?!"
After saying those words, it appeared that as if Elaine had finished venting her anger as she smiled then again with the same smile from before. The cold aura exuded out by her ferocious glare had dissipated too as the man found it hard to breathe.
"Ah... Did I scare you?" Elaine chuckled softly as she said, "I've lost interest in joining your Hunter Association now. Maybe next time again?"
After which, Elaine stood up from her seat but before she could even turn around and leave, she waved her hand and a triangular device appeared on the table. It was something like a pyramid with three sides, but its size was only a foot on all sides. In the middle of each side of the pyramid was a word written in red saying, 'SIN'.
"Plapla!" Upon seeing it, the man shuddered in fear yet again. This kid was really trying to kill him! No, she was trying to kill not only him, but she was planning to destroy this whole place!
"This is my gift for you. No need to thank me." Elaine then turned around as she stepped forward and prepared to leave.
"Please! Take away this thing! I beg you!" But Elaine was just having a few steps when she heard the cries of the other party.
Elaine didn't turn around as she said, "Don't be shy. Just accept it."
After a few more steps, Elaine then finally reached the door as she opened it and walked out of that house. The moment she left, the rays of the sun greeted her. Elaine raised her hand to block the sun as she muttered, "It's nice weather today."
Meanwhile, the man from before was now grinding his teeth trying his hardest to pull out the knife pierced on his thighs. After removing the knife with great difficulty, he threw it away and pushed the button hurriedly,
Several men who wore a sadistic face immediately entered the room as they were all confused why did their boss call them. Not until when they heard their boss ordering them frantically, "Hurry up and remove this thing here!"
Only then did the men noticed the triangular thing placed on top of the table.
"P-plapla!"
They all had the same expression of fear filling their heart. Some who were smart enough had already left the room a few moments after seeing the Plapla on the table and started to run away as furthest as they could be. Seeing that the others had already run away without hesitation, those who were left didn't hesitate any more and left the room as well in a hurry.
"There's a Plapla!" Those who left cried out while hurrying themselves to leave the village.
"What did you say?!!!" Those people in the area who heard it asked in a panic. But seeing that they didn't get a reply and only see their furious escape, they couldn't help but run away as well.
No matter what business they were doing, trading all sorts of things or strolling all around the village, they all left whatever they were doing and tried to run away to the furthest place possible.
They could only curse in unison, "Just what was that thing doing here?! Just who the heck among the Triangle of Sin did they offend?! This village is done for!"
"Traitors!!!!!" On the other hand, the man from before was enraged down to the core! How could these damned Hunters leave him just like that? They had no sense of shame and justice at all! They were really making his blood boil!
The man stood up from his seat but upon taking a glimpse of the Plapla placed on the table, he couldn't help but shudder.
So even with a damaged thigh, he tried to run away as well even while staggering. But upon exiting the house, he had noticed that there was no trace of life left anymore in the entire village. As if it was deserted for already a long time. It was obvious that everyone hurriedly left the village without hesitation upon learning about the existence of Plapla.
"Damn it all!" The man could only curse in his heart. Hunters really in this backwater place were uneducated! He should really teach them all a lesson! However, how could he still do so if he was about to die now?
