Everyone looked at Jake with cold eyes.

Behind him, Myriad Arrows, who was not used to having so many eyes on him, shuddered. He recognized some of these faces, and not because he met them before.

These were faces that were on tv. Representatives of huge corporations, people with big positions, all of these men and women congregated here were strong. They had power, and they all came together for one reason: Bright Horizon.

As they entered the top floor, which was quite spacious for the ten or so people who came with Jake and Myriad Arrows, they saw that there was just a desk and three chairs.

"Take a chair, Myriad Arrows. And sit beside me." Jake commanded as he took the head of the table, and sat domineeringly in front of everyone.

Looking at the one seat available, and then the ten people in front of him, he smiled.

"Please, have a seat." he gestured.

All of the people there looked at each other, not making a move afraid that they would offend someone that they couldn't afford to offend. After all, these were not the corporations themselves. They were not the owners. They were representatives, spokespeople, and they did not have real power. The people behind them did.

"Ah! So uptight. I'll take the seat then." Phoenix said as she sat in front of everyone else, looking straight at Jake.

"You should know what we are here for." she said swiftly.

"I believe that I do not know what you are talking about. The people who are invited to the top floor, they are only allowed here if they are willing to discuss collaborations with Bright Horizon. If you wish to have an alliance with us, let us talk about it." Jake said.

"Cut the pleasantries, boy! First, you don't give us a seat to sit on. Fine. I don't care about that. Do you know who I represent? I represent Aries. The company, Aries. You should know how big Aries is. We will give you a million dollars. That must be more money than you have ever seen in your life. Leave the guild to us and leave." the man on the side stepped forward and said with a harsh voice.

"So let me get this straight. You want to give me a million dollars for a guild that I have built painstakingly, and not only that, it is also the most popular guild in the entire game. How funny. What is your head made of? Clay?" Jake chuckled.

"Oh! And by the way, if you dare speak to me like that again, I will make sure that the guards here give you quite the lesson. Their batons actually hurt in the game." Jake said.

The man's face changed, but he still stayed there.

"Fine then. Forgive our colleague here for being hasty. How much do you want for Bright Horizon?" a man behind asked calmly.

"Finally, a levelheaded person. I have no interest in selling the guild itself. But if you want the guild name, which also happens to be the most popular guild in the world because of that message, then it is going to set you back." Jake said.

He raised his index finger.

"A million for the name? Are you kidding me?" Phoenix coughed.

"Oh! I think that you misunderstood me. I am not asking for a million dollars. I am asking for a million gold coins" Jake smiled.

Pffft!

"You are out of your mind. Do you think that there are even a million gold coins in circulation right now? Just what do you think your paltry guild is worth? If I wanted to, then your entire guild would be useless in days." the man in the middle arrogantly said.

Jake looked straight at him.

"You are from Genji right? The famous video game company? Sure. You can have your people try and attack me. You have thousands of members within your guild already. Your ranks have many established gamers within. And you definitely have one of the strongest guilds in the game right now."

"But do you really think that if this is an all out war, with the numbers that you have seen below, and the pockets that I have not yet shown, you will actually win this battle? Think again." he twirled his fingers, pointing around him.

"Look at the store around you. Look at the walls. All of the equipment you see here is useless to me. I have members stronger than yours already. I dare you to go into war with me. I will see how your company will ever get up again." Jake scowled back.

The man did not respond, not able to find the right words.

"Well then, Phoenix. I trust that my information did not have any problem? I am sure that you got what you went for?" he asked.

"Fine. You got it. I believe you. Venur is willing to partner up with you. Two guilds form an alliance. But we want guarantees that you can help us. We want a stake in your guild." Phoenix said.

"There is no way that I am divesting the guild. One hundred percent of the guild will stay with me unless I say otherwise. Selling even a part of the guild is a loss for me, because I know that it will grow much bigger in just a few months." Jake shook his head immediately.

"You underestimate the power of Venur, Shadow King. We have a lot of good stuff that we can offer. I know that all of these people will hold back on you, but I am willing to give you favors that only tens of millions of dollars will give you." she smiled.

"If it is the list of rare classes and where to find them that Nova gave all of you, don't worry about it. I don't need it." Jake scoffed.
