Chapter 58
58 Limbo
Hearing the familiar name and feeling the subtle Sulphur scent that exuded from the man Layton couldn’t help but think about the famous sorcerer, who had dealings with both heaven and hell in the comics he had read on earth in his childhood, although he knew very well that the Constantine in front of him wasn’t the same but he was sure there was definitely a connection although he had no evidence his intuition was telling him so, since he was able to perceive more information his guesses and institution strengthened along with it.
Looking at the ball of light in his hands Layton sank his spirit into it and streams of information flooded his mind, explaining basic information about the seed program and the world source.
According to the information It turns out the seed program was made up of wizards who would travel to unexplored planes far away from the radiation range of the wizard civilization, planes which had been twisted or had the aura of other worlds, the dimensional eroder would send them to these planes. The wizards of the seed program would be sent here, their every action would expand the wizard world influence and subtly erode the plane, basically dying it the colours of the wizard world, world source meanwhile was an incomparable pure energy the dimensional eroder extracted from the plane it had eroded, the more the erosion the more likely it is that world sources would be produced.
The reason why the wizard world wanted to erode the planes was not stated but Layton guessed it would not be anything other than a scramble for resources or knowledge. World sources were transformed by the dimensional eroder through the origin of the plane, this was one of the benefits of seed wizards, seed wizards through their frequent travel made it easier to get a rare resource such as world sources.
It was mostly used as a resource to enable one to quickly enlighten himself and increase their insight into knowledge and rules, of course, this was the most basic use, there were other peculiar ways of using it but it was not introduced in the information sent to their minds.
Layton was able to get a sizeable amount of world source because he had helped promote the plane which made the world origin fluctuate which made it easier for the dimensional eroder to collect more world sources.
Layton was digesting this information when zero seemingly in a hurry waved goodbye to Layton as she turned the ball of light in her palms to a badge and she faded from the space.
Layton sighed and decided to leave he manipulated the light to form a wristband and whispered return fading into space as he was teleported out of the space.
Coming into hell limbo the transit station in which Constantine uses to shuttle to different places, the unconscious girl soon frowned her sleeping expression uncomfortable and soon the sound of flesh burning was heard ” what the hell” Constantine screamed in pain while rolling up his sleeves to check his scorched wrist, there was a tattoo of angel wings inscribed there and was constantly releasing high purity holy light that was inflicting burning damage that went straight into his soul “fuck what did I do this time, I didn’t carry any...” looking at the floating child next to him Constantine finally caught a glimpse of what might be wrong. Ignoring the searing pain Constantine muttered some obscure words and channelled the holy light that was being released into his body as a source to power an ancient guidance spell used to detect pure souls.
.....
The result of the spell was unbelievable, a creature born as a result of the combination and collision of all negative energy and emotions of a whole plane the most evil essence of a vampire, contaminated with the polluting breath of an old dominator and gained sentience through a spell from the depths of hell and actually possessed the purest soul Constantine had ever seen, no wonder the contract was about to be breached just detecting a pure soul of this degree being brought to limbo was enough for those freaks in paradise to go crazy.
Constantine was sure as soon as he left limbo in a matter of second he would be greeted by a strong attack from those lunatics and the bastards in hell would also join in the fun.
Trying to think of the best way to solve his dilemma, Constantine suddenly noticed one of the new wizards he had just left was being redirected towards a familiar area, his eyes brightened as he recognized who was living in that familiar area.
“seems I will have to take you up of your offer old man” Constantine muttered to himself as he snapped his fingers summoning a yellow windbreaker which he promptly put on himself, the windbreaker flashed with profound runes of different origins and an obscure wave was sent out.
A few moments later a strong beam of white light suddenly descended from the void piercing through the illusory boundaries of the limbo world, with the advent of the light came a huge dark red cloud of thick Sulphur smoke blocking the light, the two distinct energies started clashing, with each collision the limbo became more fragmented suddenly the world collapsed venting its energy towards the two energies.
Suddenly two angry roars resounded through countless planes both screaming the same name in incomparable anger “CONSTANTINE!!!”
