Wizard World:Struggles of dimensions

Chapter 57

57 Red beauty

Looking at the short little girl in his arms and feeling the familiar but weird aura emanating from her Layton couldn’t help but be dumbfounded and shocked.

The girl was red-haired had beautiful creamy skin and her ruby eyes were so pure and clear, looking downwards her body was dressed in a ruby red shirt with black leggings, she was petite but shapely, a proper beauty embryo and she had a considerable bust for her size to her match altogether making a picture of an immature perfect beauty.

The beauty in his arms gave him a very familiar feeling, her aura was strikingly similar to Damon and she had come from the light beam that represented she was his teammate and had come from the avatar plane, Zero had already been revealed and was standing silently next to Layton looking at the little girl who closed her eyes and snuggled closer to him with interest.

“It seems that she has something to do with Damon, what happened before we left?” zero asked with interest and amusement evident in her tone. Layton was not annoyed by her tone he himself was also puzzled.

“I don’t know, I just saw her now, do you know why she is so close to me?” Layton replied and then asked hoping to get some clues from zero maybe she noticed something he hadn’t.

Zero did notice something so she gave a nod in affirmation and then replied “Although her aura is similar to Damon, it also resembles you a lot,” hearing that information Layton couldn’t help but be startled, thinking it over it all connected now why he would receive the information about the ruby his clone left him that contained Damon’s essence and some fragments of the vampire soul and why his aura was mixed with the little girl and she was so close to him, the girl was somehow born or emerged out of that ruby, although Layton did not understand what made the ruby change to a human but he was sure his guess was correct.

And the reason she was so close to him was because of the breath his clone had left on the ruby, normally just leaving a breath wouldn’t such an effect but one shouldn’t forget how infectious and corrupting Layton’s clone was at that moment, the breath must have infected her and affected her subtly leading to the closeness.

The closeness was affecting Layton himself as he had a considerable degree of affection for the little guy as if he had suddenly gained a little sister.

After understanding most of her origin Layton was not repulsive to the felling of closeness they shared, the little guy seemed to notice this and opened her beautiful eyes to stare at him while gifting him with a charming smile.

.....

“It seems you guys are getting along quite well” a male voice came out of the weird complicated magical array that just appeared in the blank space, stepping out of what seemed to be a fiery space and countless monsters roaring cursing the wizard in the background.

It was a blonde male with short hair pair of lazy blue eyes and a scruffy beard occupying his face.

The scent of smoke filled the air partly coming from the array that had just emerged and more from the cigarette on the lips of the wizard.

The wizard’s gaze stayed on the young girl in Layton’s arm and muttered to himself with a little worry in his tone “That’s weird it seems I have made some mistakes in depicting the array again.”

“But the potential has increased and the origin of the bloodline still remains so technically I haven’t failed” Looking closer he finally concluded, the girl he was looking at frowned slightly and just grabbed Layton’s clothes tighter apparently uncomfortable with the scrutinizing gaze.

“Congrats on becoming part of the seed program, I have to say for your first time crossing world you guys did exceeding well and your income should be more than some veterans after all its not everyday one is able to complete the promotion of a plane.” The strange wizard complimented them.

“Speaking of it where are our rewards, I don’t feel anything yet,” Layton asked hoping all his stress and work in the plane would not be for naught.

“Here,” the wizard said while throwing to them 3 balls of clear light, the light hovered in the air in front of their respective owners.

“They can take whatever form you want they will help you connect to the wizard net and show you the amount of world source you’ve gained.” The wizard explained

“World source?” Layton asked in confusion.

“Yes, world source, it’s the reward and rare resource you get by performing erosion missions.” The wizard’s cynical voice sounded again reluctantly answering his question.

Perceiving that Layton wanted to ask another question, the wizard interrupted him while looking at the pocket watch he fished out of his pocket saying “Alright I am not your teacher you can ask your instructors about all this or check the wizard net an introduction to the basics should be there.”

“Come on little girl lets go to your family so I can collect my paycheck.” The wizard muttered as he waved his palm putting the nervous and reluctant girl to sleep and taking her out of Layton’s arms and levitating her in the air.

Seeing the complex array emerge again Layton shouted after the wizard “I was just going to ask your name” Layton couldn’t shake off the feeling that the wizard in front of him was familiar, the scent of Sulphur and the unreliable nature of the wizard kept reminding him of something.

“you can call me Constantine.” The wizard replied giving a cynical smile as he stepped through the crimson portal leaving the blank white space.
