Chapter 261 Union Stock Exchange
Chapter 261 Union Stock Exchange
The Union Stock Exchange was the biggest avenue where most of the world's funds flowed through.
It was where the companies showed their domination while people tried to bet their lives.
Of course, there was no lack of companies dying out and people losing all their savings, but it was still the most sought-after way of making money. After all, not only did it give one way of making a lot of money, they could even gain authority in companies if they had sufficient shares of it.
Thus, even for those that were already rich, it was still an important place as they could use it to gain more power.
Arthur's goals were the same, and as such, it was something he absolutely had to do.
'I was going to go for something stable like land before… but if I'm already getting funds like this, I can accelerate even more.' Arthur thought to himself and clicked on the site page.
As one of the most important financial and business websites, the Union Stock Exchange was highly secure and modern.
Anyone could access it and buy stocks as they wished. Since everyone's banks and identities were tied, it was very difficult to do any kind of fraud. The site was also highly optimized and made convenient for everyone's use. As such, Arthur simply had to search for a company's name and it would pop up.
One could see all of the important company details as well as their costs right away.
"Time to find my diamonds in the rough." Arthur entered a few names in the search bar making a new window appear.

——
These were the three companies that Arthur had chosen to invest in.
All three of them had a low value as of now, and were relatively cheap to buy, with shares going as low as one UC for ten or even more.
To most people, these were companies they wouldn't invest in. Not because they were of a low value, but because if one looked further they would discover that their performance have been consistently bad.
Asca Medicorp was a company that made medical equipment, but they had failed to produce even a single working prototype in the past ten years. Their research has been unless for the most part, with other competitors taking the lead.
As such, it was in a bad condition and was close to shutting down.
Yogel Nutraceuticals, on the other hand, was a new company. In fact, it had been freshly listed and was barely a couple of months old. They had no track record and as such would be a risky investment for most.
Plus in the face of hundreds of other nutraceutical companies that made health supplements, the competition was very tough and they had a low chance to succeed.
Then there was Franzen Microelectronics.
Unlike the other two, this was actually an old and well established company having existed for over seventy years now. The reason why its price had fallen was due to it not having any good products for the past two decades.
Hypnotek had risen rapidly in the recent years and has brought many innovations. As such, Franzen Microelectronics was left in the dust and all of its products had become obsolete. It was now struggling to exist and could only afford to pay its employees while having losses every year.
It would be a very bad investment to choose Franzen Microelectronics, as it was a classic case of a dying company.
And yet, Arthur was choosing all three of them.
'All three of them would turn around and become big in the future.' Arthur smiled as he thought about it.
Asca Medicorp would finally come up with a prototype for a medical chamber, which would gain the interest of the scientists from Hypnotek. They would then discover that this medical chamber could be modified and be added to the designs of the Dream pod!
This would further improve its capabilities and lead to the creation of Dream Pod Version 4.
"The version that would further improve how long people could stay inside the Dream Pod as it would provide nutrition to their bodies for the long term.' Arthur remembered the great impact it had in the past.
But that wasn't all, it would also be greatly helpful for paralyzed and comatose patients, which would further improve the number of people joining Morpheus Online. Since patients like these were limited in what they could do, the game would not only help them mentally, but also financially.
Patients who had financial burdens due to the medical fees would be able to play the game and do various jobs in it to pay it off and the same could apply to the Comatose patients who would finally have some semblance of life.
Asca Medicorp would become backed by Hypnotek and as such, their value would skyrocket.
Yogel Nutraceuticals could also attribute their rise to Morpheus Online. But not in an indirect way. The company would realize in order to stand out, they needed to narrow their target audience and market it differently.
As such, they made health supplements that were targeted towards players that played Morpheus Online. They made supplements that would benefit people by improving their sleep and comfort. This in turn, led to the improvement of player skills and was noticed by the E-sports team.
And once that happened, it was very difficult for them to stop their rise. Many other companies would follow the same route, but since they were the first to start this, they would have the lead and continue to grow.
Finally, there was Franzen Microelectronics. This company would not have any growth whatsoever like the other two companies. In fact, it will be shutting down in the coming months. But Arthur still bought it due to a singular fact.
The company's factory was built on land that would be needed by Hypnotek.
