Chapter 147
Chapter 147 - Two People from Two Different Worlds
The woman with the red lips paled.
“I'm leaving.” Ye Hao stopped teasing her and made a beeline for the restroom.
Upon reaching the restroom, Ye Hao was immediately enveloped by a thick, ghostly presence. There, he found two trembling male ghosts sprawled on the floor.
Next to the male ghosts were two unconscious girls.
Both girls were quite attractive but appeared extremely frail.
“Lewd ghosts?” Ye Hao remarked, eyeing the male apparitions.
“Both women's Kidney-Yin is shattered. I fear they might be carrying the offspring of ghosts,” Xiao Ming said gravely.
“Let's deal with these ghosts before we jump to any conclusions,” Ye Hao suggested, his gaze icy as he looked at the two male ghosts.
Hearing this, the ghosts fell to their knees, begging for mercy.
“Daoist master, please spare us.”
“Respected Daoists, we swear we'll never do this again.”
At that moment, the beauty with the red lips arrived.
She gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in horror at the sight of the two ghastly figures.
The male ghosts exchanged a glance and, in a puff of black smoke, charged at the red-lipped beauty.
“Curse it!” Xiao Ming uttered an incantation, summoning a bolt of lightning.
The lightning obliterated one ghost instantly, but the other closed in on the red-lipped beauty.
She had never witnessed anything like this.
In her shock, she couldn't even scream.
As the ghost was about to possess her, Ye Hao's hand clamped down on its head. A brilliant flash of lightning later, the ghost was reduced to ash.
The red-lipped beauty let out a piercing scream.
Ye Hao ignored her and turned to Xiao Ming, “What's our plan for these two girls?”
“I've placed a Pursuit Charm on them. In a month, we'll know if they're pregnant with ghost children,” Xiao Ming explained. “We should get going.”
Without another word, Xiao Ming started to leave.
Ye Hao addressed the still-stunned beauty, “I didn't deceive you, did I? I told you that you'd witness a scene in the restroom you'd never forget.”
With that, he walked away.
Ye Hao and Xiao Ming hadn't gotten far from the Desire Bar when they were suddenly encircled by four cars. More than a dozen burly bodyguards in black emerged, ready to confront them.
Ye Hao's gaze settled on a middle-aged man. “What are you planning to do?” he asked.
The middle-aged man responded with a sneer, “You've tarnished the Desire Bar's reputation. Did you think you could just walk away without any consequences?”
This man was none other than Cui Xinjian, the owner of the Desire Bar.
“So, inviting us to your office wasn't a genuine offer to make amends, was it?” Ye Hao retorted, his voice laced with sarcasm.
“You're quite astute,” Cui Xinjian acknowledged, clapping his hands. At his signal, two bodyguards appeared, escorting a woman between them—the same red-lipped beauty from before.
Despite her struggles, she couldn't escape their grasp.
Realizing her efforts were futile, the red-lipped beauty turned to Cui Xinjian and declared, “You're finished today.”
“I'm curious to see how that's going to happen,” Cui Xinjian replied with a mocking laugh.
“My father is Loong Jiuxiao,” the woman revealed with a smirk.
Shock flashed across Cui Xinjian's face. “Your father is Loong Jiuxiao?” His voice shook as he spoke.
He was well aware of Loong Jiuxiao, one of the most formidable figures in Glento's underworld. Back when Loong Jiuxiao wielded significant influence, Cui Xinjian was nothing more than a street thug.
“More than one person saw you take me, and my cousin knows I was at the Desire Bar. If she can't find me, you're aware of the consequences,” the red-lipped beauty warned, her gaze piercing the two bodyguards. “You might not fear death, but what about your families?”
The bodyguards shuddered at the thought.
Loong Jiuxiao was a legend in Glento's underworld, far beyond the reach of petty thugs like them.
”Boss, what's our move?” one of the bodyguards inquired nervously.
After a moment of contemplation, Cui Xinjian replied grimly, “We've reached a point of no return. We must be ruthless, or we're all dead.” He then made a slicing motion across his throat.
”Why provoke them?” Ye Hao asked, his tone tinged with frustration.
“With you two being so formidable, how could they possibly harm me?” the red-lipped beauty giggled, confident in their protection.
“Let your father handle this matter. But I hope it doesn't involve too many people,” Ye Hao stated, his mind stirring. With that, the water in the sewer was drawn forth, transforming into ropes of water that ensnared Cui Xinjian and the others.
Expressions of shock were etched on the faces of Cui Xinjian and his companions, having never witnessed such an ability.
The red-lipped beauty was equally astonished, though she remembered to call her father in time.
Once she informed Loong Jiuxiao of the situation, he wasted no time in heading their way with hundreds of his men.
“They won't be able to move for the next two hours,” Ye Hao declared, casting a glance at Xiao Ming before preparing to depart.
“Hold on,” Loong Lieyan interjected, blocking Ye Hao's path. “You haven't given me your contact details.”
“It would be pointless to give you our contact information because I'm going to erase your memory of us shortly,” Ye Hao responded, his hands beginning to form a rune.
“Wait,” Loong Lieyan implored. “I assure you, I won't breathe a word of this.”
“A woman can't keep secrets,” Ye Hao remarked as he completed the rune. In an instant, a golden light shrouded everyone, including Loong Lieyan.
When the light faded, Loong Lieyan staggered, clutching her forehead as she tried to regain her composure.
She gazed at the prone figures of Cui Xinjian and the rest, her mind drawing a blank on the recent events.
Soon after, Loong Jiuxiao arrived with his men.
Loong Lieyan quickly stepped up to greet him.
Loong Jiuxiao's investigation led to a startling discovery: a portion of their memories, including those of Loong Lieyan and the others, was missing.
Neither Loong Lieyan nor Cui Xinjian and his group knew who was responsible.
Loong Jiuxiao reviewed the Desire Bar's security footage and zeroed in on Ye Hao and Xiao Ming. Unfortunately, their features were indistinct, leaving their identities a mystery.
For the time being, Loong Jiuxiao put the matter aside.
Nevertheless, the incident served as a wake-up call for him, prompting him to assign two bodyguards to Loong Lieyan.
By the time he finished everything, it was already the evening of the next day.
“Stay home and rest. I'm off to an auction,” Loong Jiuxiao reassured his daughter before standing up to depart.
“Are you familiar with the Immortals Retreat?”
“It's one of the three top-level clubs in Glento.”
“Tonight, the Immortals Retreat is auctioning off a mysterious item. Zhang Jinsong claims it's incredibly valuable.”
