Chapter 146

Chapter 146 - Fake Wine

She smiled and said, “I'm about to open it.”

“Go ahead,” Ye Hao replied nonchalantly.

A bottle of 1982 Lafite was only around 50,000 yuan. Frankly, Ye Hao wasn't concerned about the cost.

Noticing Ye Hao's indifference, she instructed the waiter to open the Lafite. She then poured two glasses of red wine, offering one to Ye Hao.

Ye Hao swirled his glass gently, releasing the wine's aroma.

Xiao Ming, observing Ye Hao's actions, couldn't help but scold with a stern face, “Ye Hao, don't overdo it.”

“You're not here just to flirt, are you?”

“I'm here because my target hasn't shown up yet.”

“I'm curious to know who your target is.”

Xiao Ming replied, “My target tends to show up in places of decadence.”

The beauty took a sip of the wine and immediately furrowed her brow. She summoned the waiter and questioned, “Are you certain this is a 1982 Lafite?”

The waiter confidently responded, “Absolutely.”

She declared with conviction, “This is Lafite, but not from 1982.”

The waiter's demeanor turned grave as he retorted, “Miss, please don't make unfounded accusations.”

Dissatisfied, the beauty demanded, “Get your manager here.”

The waiter insisted, “I speak for our manager. You have no right to make a scene at the Desire Bar!”

At that moment, the beauty with the red lips turned to Ye Hao and inquired, “Will you back me up if there's a fight?”

“With me by your side, no one will touch you,” Ye Hao assured her with a smile.

“Are you certain?” she asked, eyeing Ye Hao with a hint of mischief.

“If you're itching for a fight, do it now. Honestly, I'm not fond of him either,” Ye Hao said, nodding toward the waiter.

“As you wish,” she agreed.

She then grabbed a wine bottle and struck the waiter on the head. As the bottle shattered, a gash opened on his scalp.

“Bitch, I'll kill you!” the waiter bellowed, charging at her. She seized his hair and, grabbing another wine bottle, struck him on the head again.

After hitting him with three bottles in succession, she finally ceased her assault.

She couldn't just stand there, as over ten of the bar's bouncers were closing in on her.

Pointing at the bottle of red wine on the table, she declared, “I hit him because he passed off a regular Lafite as a 1982 vintage. Your boss owes me an explanation.”

“I can provide an explanation, but first, you owe me one,” a young man in a black suit demanded sternly.

“What explanation?”

“You assaulted our waiter without any justification. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?”

“I didn't assault him without reason.”

With a dismissive wave of his hand, the young man commanded, “Break one of her legs.”

Two young men charged at the woman without hesitation.

Ye Hao stepped in and, with a simple slap, the lead assailant was overwhelmed by an immense force, sending him tumbling helplessly backward.

The other bouncers rushed to his aid, only to be sent flying back several meters upon contact.

The crowd was astounded.

No one had anticipated the sheer force behind Ye Hao's effortless strike.

Realizing Ye Hao was a formidable force, the young man asked, “May I know why you're intervening in this matter?”

Ye Hao responded coolly, “This 1982 Lafite was a gift I purchased for the lady. You sold me a counterfeit. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?”

“What?”

“Counterfeit wine?”

“Desire Bar is selling fakes?” The onlookers were stunned.

Just then, a middle-aged man emerged from the crowd.

“I'm the owner of Desire Bar,” he introduced himself before approaching Ye Hao. He picked up the bottle of wine Ye Hao had bought and poured himself half a glass.

As he swirled the wine in the crystal glass, his face darkened.

After all, a 1982 Lafite was incomparably superior to an ordinary one.

“Ding Hui, you've always managed our wine sales and purchases,” the middle-aged man said, turning to the young man. “Explain yourself.”

“Boss.”

“Break both of his legs and throw him out,” the owner ordered, aware that Ding Hui was the culprit behind the switch.

Terrified, Ding Hui fell to his knees.

“Boss, please, I beg for another chance.”

“You've tarnished the reputation of Desire Bar. If not for the rule of law, I would have ended you by now,” the middle-aged man declared furiously.

Ding Hui didn't dare utter another word.

He had clearly detected a murderous glint in his boss's eyes.

Once Ding Hui was escorted out, the middle-aged man addressed the crowd, “To show my regret, all charges for tonight will be on the house.”

The onlookers buzzed with excitement.

Who would pass up free drinks?

“I truly apologize.” The middle-aged man earnestly said to Ye Hao and Xiao Ming, “Would you mind coming to my office to talk over the compensation details?”

“There's no need,” Ye Hao replied, shaking his head. “Let's leave it at that.”

“Enjoy your evening,” said the middle-aged man before turning to leave.

After he had gone, the red-lipped beauty exclaimed with a smile, “I never expected to party for free tonight.”

At that moment, Xiao Ming stood up and made his way to the restroom.

Ye Hao knew Xiao Ming must have noticed something.

“Go ahead and enjoy yourself, but try not to get too drunk,” Ye Hao advised the red-lipped beauty. “It's easy for girls to be taken advantage of.”

“Isn't that why you're here, to take advantage of girls?”

“This is my first time at a bar.”

“Do you really expect me to believe that?”

“Believe it or not, that's your choice,” Ye Hao said with a shrug, rising to his feet.

“Where are you headed?” the red-lipped beauty asked, following him.

“To the restroom.”

“I'll come with you.”

“I think it's best if you don't go right now,” Ye Hao cautioned her.

“Why not?”

“Because you might see something unforgettable.”

The red-lipped beauty asked provocatively, “Are you suggesting we make love in the restroom?”

Ye Hao gently placed his finger on her eyebrow, then traced it down to the corner of her eye.

“You're a virgin, so why pretend to be something you're not in front of me?”

Shock flashed in the red-lipped beauty's eyes.

“You can tell that?”

“There's a lot I can see.”

“Like what else?”

“I'm afraid it might frighten you.”

“I doubt there's anything that could scare me.”

“Your bra is purple.”

She glanced down. “You're stating the obvious.”

Her outfit was revealing enough that one could easily spot her bra.

“Really?” Ye Hao said with a wry smile. “What if I told you that you have seven moles on your chest?”
