Chapter 137: Chapter 134: New Partners



[3rd POV]

Time had flickered on by since the Harvest Festival, and Talia being subsequently talked

about in town, due to her large donation, a donation that had surpassed anything that Morgan Edge was going to donate.

During this time, Talia had once again done nothing but live comfortably with the girls, going on frequent dates, caring for the farm, having all sorts of fun movie nights, and they even started doing gaming nights, playing all sorts of board games, horror games, and even multiplayer games together, with a gaming setup being made for each of the girls, courtesy of Talia.

During the weeks that had passed, Talia's shadowclones had continued their work, completing even more quests, a couple of which were hidden.

250,000 Civilians Saved/Helped - 15 Levels

500,000 Civilians Saved/Helped - 18 Levels

1,000,000 Civilians Saved/Helped - 20 Levels

5,000,000 Civilians Saved/Helped - 22 Levels

50,000 Criminals Defeated - 20 Levels

100,000 Criminals Defeated - 30 Levels

Destroy 500 underground crime rings, be it sex trafficking rings, mafia's, gangs, etc - 15 Levels

75 Terrorist Groups Destroyed - 15 Levels

All Terrorist Groups destroyed - 20 Levels.

With this, she had only 1 more quest to complete, which was the "Save the World" one, a simple quest, and one that would be completed once she defeat Tal-Rho in the coming months. And once that happened, Talia would claim all her levels at the same time, completing not only this class, but potentially 2-3 entire classes all finished, giving her a massive boost in power, or knowledge, or both.

During this time, the only thing she had done, was revitalize a few countries of this world, and train the girls some more in chakra and aura.

The countries she ended up revitalizing was a good bit, the same ones she had done in Earth 38, just much quicker than before. She had revitalized: Niger, Angola, Libya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Sudan, Mali, Ghana, Rwanda, Togo, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Morocco, Chad, Algeria, Somalia, and Namibia. As well as some other countries that she hadn't revitalized in Earth 38, this being: Gabon, Benin, djibouti, Eritrea, Burundi, Tunisia, South Africa, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Senegal. This gave her another 150 levels she could claim whenever she wished to.

Besides gathering a ton of levels naturally, Talia had mostly just lived comfortably with the girls, while also passively having some of her shadow clones working on finally getting to 10 star clusters, but had yet to do it.

Thanks to the new revitalization of countries, Talia's divinity strengthened more and more by the day, and she knew it was only a matter of time before her divinity ascended into the next level, what level that was, she didn't know. She just knew that she was close, and that her power would ascend into an entirely new level once she did that.

At the moment Talia was sitting on her couch, the girls around her as they watched the beginning of One Piece, with none of them watching it before, not even Talia. They were only on the second episode when the door was knocked on, causing Talia to turn to it, before raising an eyebrow when she saw who it was.

"Seems we've got a visitor" Talia said, as she got up.

"You girls can keep watching, I'm gonna go see what she wants" Talia said, giving them each a peck on the forehead before walking to the door, and opening it, revealing Lois Lane standing there, a serious look on her face. Standing next to her was the editor-in chief of the Smallville Gazette, Chrissy Beppo.

Looking between the two, Talia raised an eyebrow, before glancing back and walking through the door, shutting it behind her.

"So, what does Lois Lane and Chrissy Beppo want with little old me?" Talia asked, looking between the two.

The two looked slightly surprised at the question, before Lois spoke "What is someone like you, doing in Smallville, and with that sort of money? 1.5 million dollars is more money than most of these people see in their entire lifetime"

"Living peacefully, Miss Lane. If you're here to ask about my involvement with Morgan Edge, don't, as I have none" Talia replied, which caused them both to look even more surprised, before Lois narrowed her eyes.

"And how did you know I'd ask about Edge?"

"Because you've been going around town investigating his little...venture. You haven't exactly been quiet about it, Miss Lane. And while I am not involved in any of that...business, I do know that you are interested in what it is he is doing in those mines, and with those people" Talia replied bluntly.

"And what is he doing with them?" Lois asked, trying to see what Talia actually knew.

"Using the X-Kryptonite within the mines to turn the Smallville residents into Kryptonian controlled puppets, afterall, they are the only ones who can properly take the strain from said kryptonite, due to being exposed to it for decades now" Talia replied with a shrug.

"And how do you know all of this?" Chrissy asked, as they both realized that this woman knew a lot more than she should.

"I'm quite...informed on matters that are going on in town, just as I am with most of the world. I make sure to know the going on's within the town I live in" Talia replied after a few moments.

"That doesn't explain how you know all of this" Lois pointed out, causing Talia to give her a mysterious smile.

"So, what is it you two need? Or are you just here to question me on why I donated all that money?" Talia asked.

"Where'd you get that sort of money?" Lois asked, causing Talia to chuckle.

"Do you know how much the worlds sunken treasure is worth, in total?" Talia asked, causing Chrissy and Lois to blink at the question.

"No, I don't" Lois replied.

"Over 60 billion dollars. Now, imagine if someone was to, I don't know, find all of that treasure?" Talia said, causing them both to stop and stare at her, realizing where she was

going with this.

"And how would you even do that? The techn-" "Who said I was human?" Talia cut Lois off, causing her to stare at her.

"What?"

"Who said I was human? I certainly didn't. I'm not Kryptonian, before you ask, but I am far above any human could ever hope to be, and above even the Kryptonians you humans are so terrified of" Talia continued, causing Lois to step back slightly, reaching into her pocket, ready to call Clark there should she need to.

"No need to call your friend, Miss Lane. Like I said, I am not your enemy, and I sure as hell am not working with Morgan Edge" Talia said, noticing the way Lois and Chrissy tensed. "And like your friend, I have lived on Earth my entire life, it is all I know. I have no desire to conquer or destroy it, or whatever you might think I want. Had I wanted to do that, I would have done it already, and none of you would have been able to stop me" Talia added, causing

Lois to breathe in deeply.

"Then what are you, if not Kryptonian?"

"A lot of things, Miss Lane. I'm a...hybrid of species of sorts, many, many species. I am also the last of my kind, so you don't need to worry about any more of me running around or any of that, of course, that's only if I don't have children" Talia replied, causing Lois to sigh.

"Alright, but how do you know all this crap about Morgan Edge? Is it super hearing?"

"Ah, a bit of that, yes. It's a mixture of super hearing, massively strengthened senses, and some other...abilities of mine" Talia responded.

"This is definitely not what I was expecting when you said we'd meet some lady that donated 1.5 million dollars to charity" Chrissy said to Lois, who just cracked a small smile. "How much money are you worth then, if you've dug up all that treasure?" Chrissy found

herself asking.

"Hmm, my wealth is infinite due to my powers. But I suppose you mean my legal net worth and money, right? Then it would be around 250 billion dollars, give or take a few billion" Talia replied after thinking, she had given herself a shit ton of money, all of which was untrackable even by the most advanced technology, so it really didn't matter if the two knew. She also knew that the two were trustworthy and wouldn't tell others about her, except Clark and potentially Lois's father in this universe, both of which were somewhat trustworthy, the former far more than the latter.

"Is that all you two need? Or is there more? Cause I don't mind working with you, should you need the help. My...friends can help too, they're all quite similar to me"

"As in aliens?"

"Mmhmm. Ah, and you won't tell your father about this, will you? The DOD will be quite

annoying to deal with, should they know" Talia asked, causing Lois to go silent before

replying.

"I'll keep your name away from my dad, but...I want to work with you"

"Work with me?" Talia raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, you know, working together to bring down Edge. You with that...alien power of yours,

and the knowledge you have, and me with my connections, and journalistic spirit!" Lois

replied, causing Talia to hum.

"And your friends can work with us too, can never have too many people helping with this sort

of thing" Chrissy added, causing Talia to look between the two, before smiling, and

That's the end of the chapter!

Talia is now a reporter/journalist of sorts! I thought it could be fun having her work with Lois,

as I think Lois is going to be her first genuine friend, her best (female) friend, with Lena being her other best (female) friend. Chrissy is going to be a good friend of hers, as will Clark (probably her best male friend). Plus the shenanigans they can get up to will be fun. Lois is also one of my favorite characters from the show, with only Clark himself being on par with

her.

The girls will join in sometimes, but this will more so be a Talia thing.

Next chapter will be roughly the same length, and probably the first formal meeting with certain individuals. And will most likely be the end of season 1.

I've got some interesting ideas regarding the X-Kryptonite, some pretty...strong ones.
