Chapter 136: Intermission III - Attack of the Magical Moles



[3rd POV] [Intermission III - Attack of the Magical Moles]

"Talia!" The voice of Clary yelled out, causing Talia to jump and blur out of the front door.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Is everything okay love?" Talia asked, before stopping as she looked to the strawberries in front of her, or...the lack of them.

"What the-Godamnit! It's the bloody moles again! I've wiped out so many of those damned things and they just keep coming back!" Talia scowled, as Clary giggled slightly at the reaction.

The "War against the moles" as Kara had dubbed it, had been going on for nearly a week now, with the moles continuously coming back even after all the times Talia had seemingly slaughtered their kind.

"You sure they're normal moles?" Hope asked as she stepped out of the front door.

"Well I bloody hope so, otherwise they're going to be even more annoying than they already are" Talia replied, remembering all the mole deaths she had caused.

"Um...Talia, I don't they're normal" Kara said, pointing, causing Talia to blink before looking in the direction she was looking.

Standing there was a large mole, glowing softly and with way more muscle than any mole should reasonably have.

"Oh what the hell" Talia said, as the mole noticed their looks, before it promptly fled into the Earth below, a bounty of fruits in it's mouth as it fled.

"Well, I don't think they're normal moles" Clary said with a small giggle, while Talia just sighed in annoyance.

"I can't be the only one freaked out about those, right? That thing was way too muscular!" Isabelle said, slightly grossed out as she watched the mole flee into the Earth.

"How do they even look like that? Is it the magic you used on the soil?" Hope asked, causing Talia to hum.

"Probably a mixture of that and normally eating the crops. The crops are stronger than any normal one, and from what I can tell, have magical strengthening effects in them, which probably is what strengthened them so much" Talia replied, before groaning.

"Damnit, this means I'm going to have to make some sort of magical pesticide" Talia said, annoyed that she would have to do extra work to kill the damned things.

"Um...Talia" Clary said, pointing in a direction once more, only for Talia to turn and deadpan. Roughly 25 moles were all crawling around, munching on the carrots that they had grown. They all turned at the same time with a squeak as Talia glared at them, shivering at the human's fury.

"Oh no you don't!" Talia growled, as she blurred after the moles, ready to slaughter the rest of them.

"She really hates those moles doesn't she..." Kara muttered, as they watched Talia attempt to capture all the moles, only to fail as most of them fled into the dirt below.

"You may have escaped this time, but next time I will be ready, and when that time comes, you little pests will be gone for good" Talia said, glaring at the dirt below, which made for

an...interesting picture of tall woman glaring and yelling at dirt.

Deadpanning at their girlfriends actions, the girls all turned to one another.
