Chapter 355 - Feeling Lovely
In the afternoon, Jasmine was invited to take a walk in a wheelchair driven by Keenan. They were around the hospital garden, saw some children playing with their parents who were in wheelchairs too.
Jasmine couldn't stop thinking about who her father was. although she didn't want her father to know about her, she wanted to know what her father looked like. The woman remembered her mother said that the father left her mother because she had impregnated another woman, which means she has an older brother or sister Then who is it? .male or female, who knows?
"Honey," Keenan called when he saw Jasmine lost in thought. He crouched in front of his wife's wheelchair, staring at her intensely while holding her soft right hand.
"What's bothering you? Why do you look sad?"
"It's okay," Jasmine whispered with a sweet smile.
"You're not very good at lying, honey. I know there's something you're thinking. Tell me what's bothering you," Keenan exclaimed with a pleading look.
Jasmine scrunched up her face, her eyes slowly burning, burning, and tearing. "I ... I want to know where my dad is. Mom said, before dad left mom, she said he got a woman pregnant. That means I also have a brother or sister."
"One day you will meet them, I will help you find out their whereabouts," said Keenan as he reached out his hand, wiping Jasmine's tears that slowly fell down her cheeks.
"I don't even know who they are."
"I'll find out," said Keenan sadly. he could at least see Jasmine cry. "Please, honey. Don't cry, I will feel like a failure as a husband if you continue to be sad."
Jasmine immediately wiped her eyes with her palm. "I just don't understand why my life is this complicated? too many shocking facts and events, makes my soul shake."
"Be patient, I will always be by your side to make you strong," said Keenan then hugged Jasmine slowly.
"Thank you," Jasmine let go of Keenan's embrace, then looked at him gratefully. If it wasn't for Keenan, maybe all these facts wouldn't be revealed, maybe she's still living a hard life or even married to Marco who will make her a mistress. "You are the perfect husband for me."
Jasmine felt Keenan's jaw which was slowly covered with fine hairs. Keenan held Jasmine's hand to his jaw and then kissed it. "I even feel lucky to have you as my wife."
Jasmine took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. She looked up at the orange sky, indicating it was going to be dark. "We'd better go back to the room because I want to lie down. My whole body aches," she said.
"I'll message you later," Keenan replied as he stood up and walked to the back of the wheelchair that Jasmine was sitting in, then pushed the wheelchair.
"Don't massage me!" Jasmine exclaimed as she looked up at Keenan for a moment and then back to the front again.
"Why?" asked Keenan.
"It's going to hurt more. I think it's the result of hitting the stairs," Jasmine explained, holding her aching shoulder.
Keenan sighed as he continued to push Jasmine. "That must be very painful. I hope the doctor can give you some medicine to ease your pain."
Jasmine just nodded and stared at the hospital atmosphere while sitting on a wheelchair that was pushed by Keenan.
___
At night, Nia and Wildan visit Jasmine. They walked leisurely down the hospital corridor as the man was not completely well. Wildan had just recovered from his illness and could not walk fast, even if he had a relapse he would have difficulty breathing. The point is he shouldn't be too tired or overthinking. That's why Nia replaces him managing the company.
In her infirmary room, Jasmine was sitting on the bed looking at the baby picture Nia gave her the other day. Keenan who was sitting on a chair nearby also saw the photo.
"My wife has been beautiful since she was a baby," Keenan mumbled as he stared at the old wrinkled photo, but he could see that Jasmine had been beautiful since she was a baby.
A smile grew on Jasmine's lips. She blushed at Keenan's compliment. "Maybe you've also been handsome since you were a baby...I'm so curious to see photos of you as a baby," she said.
"There are a lot of photos of me as a baby, but you better not see it," Keenan exclaimed.
"Why?" Jasmine asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You'll see my bird when they were very small because there are so many photos of me as a naked baby," explained Keenan shyly.
Instantly Jasmine chuckled glancing at her shy husband. "I'm just curious. Later I will ask my mother-in-law to show me the photo."
"No, I'm shy," Keenan exclaimed.
"Only naked baby photos, not adult photos. After all, I've seen you naked too many times, hahaha...!"
Keenan smiled shyly but was relieved that Jasmine was able to laugh with him. It's not like it was just gloomy.
While they were joking, Jasmine and Keenan's attention was focused on Nia and Wildan who had just entered the room, approaching the two of them.
"Jasmine," Nia greeted with a smile.
Jasmine immediately greeted her mother by kissing her hand. She also greeted Wildan and smiled awkwardly at him. She was embarrassed when she remembered the first time she met him instead she went home without saying goodbye because she was still in shock when Nia claimed to be the biological mother.
"Just call me 'daddy' because you're my daughter too," Wildan exclaimed when he saw Jasmine being awkward with him.
"Eh….yes, Daddy," Jasmine stammered.
Wildan smiled in relief then stroked Jasmine's hair fondly. Keenan, who had been watching for a long time, smiled in relief and greeted Wilda and Nia.
"Have you had dinner, Sweetheart?" Nia asked.
"Not yet, Mom, I don't have an appetite," Jasmine replied, bending her face.
"Mommy brought chicken soup for you," Nia said while carrying a bag containing a food container such as a stainless steel basket.
"Did mom cook it?" she asked.
"Of course, I hope you like it and it's still warm," Nia replied as she opened the basket on the table.
Nia immediately took a portion of dinner for her favorite daughter and was about to feed her.
"I'll just eat myself, Mom," Jasmine said as her mother was about to feed her.
"Love, you haven't fed me since childhood, let me feed you now," Nia asked with a pleading look.
"Okay, feed me, Mom," said Jasmine with a smile. She didn't want to see her mother disappointed.
Finally, Jasmine ate by being fed by her biological mother. Once in a while, she smiled shyly when Keenan and her stepfather glanced at her. But the woman felt happy, finally able to feel the sincere love of her biological mother.
"Mom. Why is this photo so wrinkled?" Jasmine asked, showing her the photo of the baby she'd been holding.
"Oh, that." Nia smiled glancing at the photo that Jasmine was holding. "The photo is wrinkled because I always take it everywhere. If I miss you, I will see the photo," she explained.
"Is that true?" .jasmine looked incredulous. Her mother loves her and it may be difficult to find her.. She felt pity, could not imagine how painful it would be to be away from a child without knowing the news at all.
