Type-Moon, but the Servant is Tom

Chapter 202: Nuclear-Powered Chariot?

Chapter 202: Nuclear-Powered Chariot?

If this little battery could really power it, then there must be nuclear fusion going on inside that battery. Otherwise, how could it possibly drive a ten-cylinder F1 race car? It's a joke, isn't it?

Moreover, this F1-style racing car wasn't just an ordinary one. It was designed to mimic a missile silo. Tom and Jerry were continuously adding various attack components to create a super F1 combat vehicle.

If this contraption actually worked, Bai Song could only say one thing to the small battery: "You're truly like a little cow pulling a steamer, so impressive!"

Regardless of Bai Song's thoughts, Tom and Jerry were oblivious to any issues with their creation. They kept loading it up with a multitude of components that Bai Song couldn't comprehend.

Currently, only the leftmost missile silo was exposed, but it was certain that the vehicle's arsenal of attacks wouldn't be limited to just that. Not to mention, there were at least five recognizable offensive features on the sides, such as a chainsaw and a nail-dispensing compartment at the rear.

Furthermore, Tom and Jerry had also installed a bunch of peculiar gadgets that Bai Song couldn't even begin to fathom.

The only thing that Bai Song could understand, and that didn't seem to be an offensive component, was a rocket thruster attached to the rear end of the F1 combat vehicle.

After seeing this rocket thruster, Bai Song was left speechless. He didn't know if it was his description that was off or if Tom and Jerry had their own unique understanding of what a combat vehicle should be.

Why would a ground-based racing car have a rocket thruster the size of a basin attached to its rear?

From start to finish, which took just around ten minutes, the combat vehicle had taken shape before Bai Song's eyes. Everything was in place except for the cockpit.

The issue arose with the cockpit.

Jerry had built a cockpit tailored to its own size, obviously intending to be the driver. Similarly, Tom had built a cockpit for itself, complete with buttons and control levers designed to its own scale.

Tom and Jerry were in heated competition over the installation of their respective cockpits, to the point that they were nearly coming to blows.

And indeed, that's exactly what happened.

Suddenly, both of them dropped their respective cockpits and lunged at each other, engaging in a fierce scuffle. To put it appropriately, it was a friendly cat-and-mouse skirmish (physically).

Watching them start to brawl, Bai Song could only helplessly slap his face and mutter, "Well... the thing I was most worried about has finally happened."

But sometimes, emotions are worked out through a good fight, whether on the battlefield or even in personal relationships.

However, just as Bai Song was laissez-faire about the cat and mouse fighting, he suddenly noticed that they were moving while brawling, and the direction of their movement was towards the newly constructed combat vehicle!

Startled, Bai Song forgot about his previous thoughts and urgently shouted, "Stop... stop it! Don't fight anymore!"

Unfortunately, the two brawlers, who had been knocking the brains out of each other, were not paying attention to Bai Song's plea.

With no other choice, Bai Song played his trump card, "Spike, go!"

At Bai Song's command, Spike, who had relaxed upon confirming that Bai Song had no intention of taking over his wife again, decisively pounced on the fighting cat and mouse duo.

30 seconds later.

The cat and mouse, each nursing a few bumps and bruises, peacefully faced each other with smiles and shook hands. Watching the two of them return to their friendly state, Bai Song was very satisfied and said with a sense of contentment, "This is how cats and mouse should peacefully coexist."

After the handshake, Tom and Jerry simultaneously gestured towards the cockpits and then turned their gaze to Bai Song. It was quite evident that they both wanted Bai Song to make a decision about who would be responsible for driving the vehicle. It seemed they both really wanted to participate as drivers.

Observing the situation, Bai Song hesitated for a moment before suggesting, "How about... you both drive the vehicle together?"

Choosing one over the other would undoubtedly upset the other party, and if Bai Song didn't choose from these two options, his only choices would be himself or Spike, the clueless dog. Bai Song didn't even consider himself due to his leg injuries, and Spike, well, letting a dog drive a race car was out of the question if he wanted a fair competition.

In Bai Song's view, having both of them drive the car simultaneously might be the optimal solution to resolve this dispute without showing favoritism.

As Bai Song put forth this seemingly constructive but ultimately diplomatic suggestion, Tom and Jerry exchanged a glance, and their eyes lit up simultaneously. Clearly, they found this idea feasible.

Seeing their agreement, Bai Song decisively said, "If you both agree, then let's do it this way."

Upon hearing this, the cat and mouse exchanged another glance and then walked determinedly towards the direction of the combat vehicle, each heading to their respective cockpit. Bai Song nodded in approval as he watched their backs, then continued to lounge on the plastic chair at the roadside stall, taking a break.

Even though he hadn't done much today, Bai Song felt quite satisfied with the situation. He closed his eyes contentedly and began to rest, as he hadn't had a proper chance to relax all morning.

Not long after, the sounds of hammering and tinkering from the direction of the combat vehicle gradually came to a halt.

Bai Song estimated in his mind that the combat vehicle was probably finished with its modifications. So, he opened his eyes.

As soon as he opened his eyes, the sight of the vehicle left him amazed. Although it was painted in a simple red color, the well-defined body of the vehicle made Bai Song quite satisfied. Just 50 centimeters away from the front of the vehicle, there was a small cockpit, clearly reserved for Jerry. Following that was a seat tailored for Tom. However, Bai Song suddenly realized that there seemed to be an extra seat, and it was quite evident that it wasn't sized for Spike.

With a puzzled expression, Bai Song asked, "Hmm? Why is there a third seat?"

In response, Tom and Jerry both promptly pointed their fingers at Bai Song himself.

"...Me?"

Upon hearing this, both the cat and the mouse nodded in agreement.

Bai Song's mouth twitched a few times, and he incredulously said, "You expect me, a lazy person, to drive?"
