Tribulation of Mysteries

Chapter 36:

Chapter 36:

“Is that the ability to turn into a cocoon and heal injuries?”

Lin was very receptive to all kinds of mysticism, so she deduced quickly.

She stepped forward and looked at the cocoon with a happy smile.

“Great, this person is fine, the Lord’s Divine Decree can still be completed.”

She saw that there seemed to be some sort of light source inside the cocoon, reflecting a humanoid figure. She could just make out that it was a female. She was like an embryo, her hands wrapped around her curled legs, like a fetus in a mother’s womb.

But as the heartbeat grew louder and louder, endless shadows seemed to wriggle from behind the figure, rapidly expanding transforming into a pair of deformed wings?

The humanoid figure became strange as well, its mouth becoming long and thin, its body mutating as if it was turning into some kind of insect…

“Not good this is … corruption?”

Lin’s expression was solemn. She knew that this was because the other party was unable to maintain its rationality after being severely injured, and was turning into a monster.

In fact, Olivia’s transformation was also related to the fact that she had overused her spirituality to perform the ritual earlier.

If this continued, she would definitely not be the one to break out of the cocoon.

“So that’s it, the Lord has already seen everything, so that’s the true meaning of saving souls?”

Lin was enlightened: “She has already been drawn to the terrible existence at the end of her path and fallen into the abyss. Only the radiance of the Lord can save her.”

She knew what she had to do.

Lin began to prepare the ritual and prayed to the Spirit of Falsehood:

“The Spirit of Falsehood, wandering in the unknown, the absolute neutral existence, the silent observer.”

“Please bestow your grace and save this lost soul before you!”

“Can I say that this was not my arrangement, that I was just a bit slow and almost didn’t make it in time?”

Aaron Sotos complained quietly, then accepted the ritual.

He looked at the cocoon in front of him with shock in his eyes, but still channeled the mystical energy from his dream and infused it into the cocoon.

“Thank you, my lord!”

Lin sensed the change and looked inside the cocoon, only to see the fierce black figure slowly fade away and return to human form.

Snap!

The grey cocoon clothes were torn as the naked Olivia struggled out. Seeing Lin, her face showed a bit of embarrassment, but it was more like shock: “That’s…”

“Lucky you, you have received the grace of my Lord and His salvation.” His voice was soft and gentle.

Lin glanced at Olivia and casually pulled a piece of clothing from the corpse on the floor and tossed it to her. “Put your clothes on first. I’ll tell you slowly.”

A moment later, in the department store.

“So you were inspired by a being and founded the Light of Salvation. Then you got the Oracle to save me?”

Olivia said in surprise, “What kind of benevolent being is this? To actually pity an ant like me, Would such an entity communicate with mortals? The Cocoon never communicates with its believers, even the most advanced Cocooners. There are even rumours that those who have seen the Cocoon are all dead, whether they are believers or not! ”

“Cocoon? Cocooners? ”

Aaron was a little confused, so Lin asked, “What is a Cocoon?”

“It’s the master of the chrysalis element, the symbol of life and change…”

Olivia’s expression became incomparably complicated. “I come from the forest to the south. There are many people who worship the Cocoon. They call themselves the Cocoon People and have even formed a sect called the ‘Barren Wood’, After many people joined, their temperament underwent a terrifying change.I was not willing to stay there any longer, so I left.”

Lin, on the other hand, remembered the fanatics of the Black Sun Cult, as well as the High Priest who had turned into a black beast, and suddenly realised something: “The Mysterious path is too dangerous, madness and terror are always accompanied by each other. No matter what path you take, you will need the protection of my Lord to keep your humanity, praise my Lord!

“May I have the honour to hear His name?”

Olivia said solemnly, “After leaving the sect, my hallucinations and some symptoms became very serious, but after receiving the grace of this person, I feel that I have fully recovered. I want to understand this person’s teachings, and is he willing to accept a disciple of the Cocoon like me? ”

“Of course, my master is tolerant of everything.”

Lin’s eyes lit up and he immediately began to preach. “He is the Light of Salvation, the only hope for mankind!”

Hey hey, I only told you that I’m a spirit! Just a spirit! Don’t add so many strange things without permission!

Aaron felt very uncomfortable listening from the side.

Especially when Lin had added so many powers to himself, like salvation, hope. He hadn’t agreed to any of them yet, okay?

Aaron comforted himself. Apart from that, he was very interested in the new elements and paths.

“I’ll have to think of a way to trick Olivia into giving me the secret teachings.”

“But don’t life and change overlap with Red? That’s not right, Red is mainly about reproduction and vitality. Also, Cocoon gives me a feeling of stubbornness, conservatism and unchanging.”

He had just watched Olivia being tricked by Lin into becoming a member of the Light of Salvation.

This was quite normal.

As long as Olivia wanted to continue on the path of secrets and didn’t want to be affected by Cocoon and become a monster, she had to kneel at his feet.

Aaron could tell that although Olivia was a bit naive, she was still more mature than Lin. Could it be that she really couldn’t see that there was something wrong with the Light of Salvation?

Instead of saying that she was tricked into joining the Order, it would be more accurate to say that she was convinced by the miracle he showed her.

“Olivia, since you have become a member of the Order, I’m going to announce the first big thing.”

Lin patrolled the department store and was very pleased with the place. “I want to requisition this place and make it a branch of the Order. Hmm, the headquarters cannot be moved, the altar of our Lord is there, only with His permission can we move it.”

Olivia pursed her lips, looked at Lin, who was pretending to be a high-spirited adult, and suddenly asked, “Then Saintess, how many people are there in our order?”

Lin’s imposing demeanour disappeared quite a bit and she replied in a very low voice, “Including you, two members, just you and me.”

Olivia’s expression froze. Although she was mentally prepared and had guessed, she hadn’t expected this order to be so strange!

Was it too late to leave the Order now?
