Chapter 28 028: Raen Butcher
Just as the last Crystal went out, the sounds of multiple notifications could be heard, but Cole ignored them for the moment watching as the portal seemed to suck into itself, and as much as he was loath to admit it, the process was very much like an asshole flexing…. Not that he knew what it really looked like, but Cole has seen some really disturbing videos in existence, he wouldn't judge why a portal seemed like the ass end of some cosmic beasts...oh my God!
Cole shuddered as he vanished, activating his Invisibility as he could not even thank God enough that wasn't unlucky enough to be dragged into that damn portal. He noticed that the floating disks carrying the scientist and his family and a couple of other Nijat aliens were now rushing in his direction, of course they couldn't see him, but seeing they had all noticed where the shot had come from, they knew just where to look to find the bastard that had slain their asshole portal…. Literally.
Cole reappeared, jumping up, reaching a much higher height than he thought possible with his diminutive form, he was jumping up twice as high as he previously could, in turn that made him overshoot his target as he went over the head of a flying Nijat alien. But be that as it may, it was still an opportunity as he blasted the sniper rifle through the middle of it's back, right between it's wings. The recoil from the gun pushed Divyat higher as he used [Spectral Charge] to moved to the left, evading a bevy of shots as he landed on another disk and smashed the butt of the rifle into a Nijat aliens jaw, then used a new skill he has not had the chance to try out yet.
[Lesser Mind Control]
He had poured a significant amount of his energy into the skill and was able to take control of three of the Nijat aliens on the disk, before opening fire on the remaining two by aligning the sniper rifle. The bullet tore through the skull of the first and then sunk into the collarbone of the second right behind it. It took one instead step back and fell off the disk as Cole went Invisible and bent down to place his hands on the head of the aliens he had first struck down.
[Sin Eater]
His stealth suit ate up a lot of energy to maintain, but there was thankfully a way to keep it active in combat even without the use of energy capsules. He drained the energy of the Nijat alien on the ground before giving orders to the three he just mind control to open fire on the remaining army of aliens in the sky. He hunkered down for a few seconds until the alien in his hands was drained dry. He looked up to see a
[+13 Energy]
Then he jumped off the disk, and just in time too as his mind control wore off after ten seconds. And it was just enough time for the rest of them to turn on the aliens that had opened fire on them. They came too just in time to see their own friends end their lives, Cole reckoned that it would not have been a happy way to go.
Cole used [Gravity] coasting over a few seats so as not to draw attention to himself. He slung sent his sniper rifle into his inventory as he pulled out another grenade pulled the pin and threw it into the air, scarcely had the first grenade left his hand did he pull another and sent it flying towards another area, his main stat of dexterity going to great lengths to improve his motor functions and aim.
*Boom!* *Boom!*
Cole noticed something really crazy that he should have actually noticed earlier on… the Nijat aliens Biology; they were so damn flammable, so much so that if one caught on fire, it would spread. Also he suspected they had a sort of sack like organs in their chest that exploded the moment a little bit of heat touched them, and the process of explosion sent their flammable parts flying into their friends…. And when they caught on fire, they were bright green! It was quite the sight in Cole's opinion, really beautiful.
A couple of Nijat aliens showed up in front of him, as he smiled pointed his hand gun in front of them. The aisle where the seats were could only get them to stand in a file, and while they thought they were squaring up to what he presumed they thought was a diminutive little devil, which he kind of was, seeing as a Raen spawn was a kind of demon, Cole only saw sheep to the slaughter lining up in front of him.
*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*
The hand gun also had six shots available to it at any given time, and his aim was impeccable as he went straight for the head, dropping all of them before they even had a chance to react. There was a tingle, the same one that had saved his life in the real world, however this time it was even more powerful, so much so that the world seemed to stop for a moment as Cole was the massive cannot smashing his head in before the Nijat Alien jumping down from the disks above him even did so.
Cole paused, took a step back and booster his handgun as he jumped back, clearing the range as an elite Nijat alike dropped down, using it's staff cannon as a club and smashing it into the ground, right in he position Cole occupied no more than a few minutes ago. There was a loud crash as more than a few seats were smashed into a crumpled mess of metal. Cole ran forwards, stepping into the cannon as the Nijat alien began to pull it back up.
A quick slide of his blade into the base of it's bulbous head, right where it's eyes started was enough to give it pause, and all Cole did from there was take advantage of it and rip it upwards, splitting open its head as and jumping over it's body as the brain held within slid out of the hole Cole had made. He slipped back into his invisibility quickly enough as he identified the disk still carrying the human scientist and his family.
There were only 4 Aliens on it, but all of them had their focus on the battle happening on the ground. If Cole didn't know better he would say he had probably just killed their mother…. Perhaps that might have been what he just did. Though he didn't get why they were so hung up on one portal, there was another one in the plaza, though now that he knew how to close it, he would be taking that one out as soon as he was done here.
There were still hundreds of Nijat aliens around, and while Cole already established that they were weak and he could deal with all of them, his resources were finite. Eventually he would be left with just his blade and his skills and that would not be enough to take out what was an entire army of aliens waiting to pop his body full of holes. If he made a single mistake here or got over confident then everything he has been working for will be lost, especially seeing most of everything he has gained now has not been registered so that if he respawn, he does so with all of his gained gear. So it was time to stop playing and to start figuring out how to get out of here.
