Chapter 79
79 [Bonus chapter]Pets and the Half
Kyle narrowed his eyes after his father explained the basic division between these elements. Though, some elements could really be used in different departments.
“You’re wind element, Father?”
“Yes.” General Ryan smiled faintly. “It’s hard to hide around me because I can sense their movements.”
“Meow.”
Kate had thought about it before, but she didn’t know what the other two elements that hadn’t appeared at all were. As it turned out, one of them was basic body strengthening while the other one was wind element.
Now, all colors were complete.
“I can try to find someone of wind element, but I don’t need another healer.”
“Another?” General Ryan was stunned.
Kyle patted Kate’s head softly. “This little cat is a dual ability user too. She has space and healing ability.”
.....
Two rare abilities.
Dr. Dall looked at Kate and felt like regretting until his intestines turned blue whenever he recalled the fact that Kyle refused to allow him to do any research on the little cat in Kyle’s hand.
“Most of the healers out there are those of wood element, but their efficiency has been extremely low. Not to mention, if they use their ability to heal others, they wouldn’t be able to use that time to practice their control and advance their rank.” General Ryan looked at Kyle with furrowed eyebrows. “Are you sure that this little cat is of healer ability and not wood element.”
“Is the difference so big?” Kyle asked.
“Yes. Those who are healed by wood element expressed that while they had indeed recovered, their degree of recovery still required them to rest due to the loss of blood and vitality. On the other hand, those who are healed by healer element could directly stand up and fight again. Not to mention, there’s a huge difference in how much a healer of these two elements can heal.
Wood element at rank 1 can barely heal a scratch even after expending all their ability. Healer element at rank 1 could already heal open wound with the expense of being tired and unable to heal anyone else. After a day’s rest, they will be able to continue their work, but the efficiency is clearly tilting towards healer’s element in terms of efficiency.”
“Rank 2?” Kyle narrowed his eyes.
When he asked Little Kitty to heal him, Little Kitty was already rank 2 and he could feel that even his old wound was recovering. Even though it was not completely healed, it was a huge improvement compared to before.
“Rank 2 of wood element can heal normal wound while healers can heal larger wound. Rank 3 of wood element still could only heal normal wound and healers can stop bleeding and closed bleeding and open wound. There hasn’t been any rank 4 healer as of yet, so their ability was still unknown.”
“Meow.”
Kyle rubbed Kate’s head.
It meant that his little cat’s healing ability was also somewhat unnatural because he understood that her healing was more efficient than those healers. Not to mention, she could also do reverse healing.
“So, answer me already.” General Ryan was looking at Kyle with a bit of impatience.
“How many healers are there in City B?” Kyle instead asked another question.
“2,” General Ryan took a deep breath. “And they’re in the hand of the government and a powerful rich group. Our family had none of the healer.”
“I see.”
“Kyle.”
“She’s a healer not wood element. I have met with a wood elemental awakened and the ability is different.” Kyle was calm and rubbed Kate’s head tenderly. “However, I’m not going to let you use Little Kitty.”
Little Kitty?
Thinking that it was the name of the cat, General Ryan’s lips twitched imperceptibly. His son’s naming sense was indeed very bad.
“I can pay you with crystals for your little cat’s help. Besides, you know that it takes a long time to nurture space element and healers, right?”
Kyle’s eyes narrowed.
He had a lot of crystals due to killing a lot of insects not long ago and dumped everything to Kate. However, he also knew that Kate’s consumption was very large and fast. It was as if she was a bottomless devourer who could keep on eating to grow in power.
But he didn’t mind spending so much.
Little Kitty’s space was so big that it was very useful for them.
Her healing ability was also actually mutated that it could do reverse healing and be used for deadly attacks.
“She’s only rank 2.”
“Meow!”
As Kate responded like that, General Ryan stared at Kate deeply. He had guessed that this cat’s intelligence was no longer the same as an ordinary cat. “It seems that you’re very lucky to have a mutated pet.”
“I’m not the only one, right?” Kyle smiled mockingly.
“Yes. There are a few others. In addition, there are also half.”
“Half?”
“Because of some circumstances, these people have certain animal characteristic such as their ear, tails, or even limbs.” General Ryan sighed deeply.
Kate’s eyes widened when she heard that.
She was technically human being, but suddenly fused with this cat during that damned night. Now that she was hearing that there were also people who fused with animals, albeit incomplete, she really wanted to see them.
“Meow?”
“Her intelligence is the highest I have seen so far.” General Ryan looked at Kate and sighed. “What did she say?”
“I don’t know.”
“Huh?”
“I can’t talk cat’s language.”
General Ryan was silent. He looked at his son and realized that Kyle was telling the truth. It seemed that even his son could only guess blindly about what this little cat was saying. “I thought that you formed a contract with her.”
“Contract? What contract?” Kyle thought of the few books his friend back then shoved to him and his eyes narrowed. “Blood contract?”
“Yes.”
