The Supreme Level Up System

Chapter 26 Do You Know Who I Am?

Artemisia didn't say anything when she heard that Aion was going to the city with Georges and Philip, and she looked pretty happy when he returned with a large smile on his face. Still, she frowned when she saw the hairpin and the items he had bought.

"Aion… Where did you get the money to buy this?" Artemisia asked.

Aion couldn't tell that he took it from foolish kids who underestimated his appearance. Even though half of that was paid by foolish adults who made the same mistake.

"Some people asked me for practical advice regarding combat, and they even paid me by teaching them directly," Aion replied.

"You are only six years old… even if you train hard, you shouldn't fight others for money," Artemisia said.

As expected, Aion's mother found the real meaning behind his ambiguous answer. Still, she was glad that he was fine, and she even began to use the hairpin as soon as possible. She was only worried that perhaps some people would return and do some bad things to get his revenge agaisnt Aion because of the defeats or because of his lineage.

"What am I going to do with you?" Artemisia asked while hugging Aion and treating him like a plush toy.

Aion let his mother do that while he checked the items that he had bought. Usually, people like him would have some sort of skill to check the power of items and humans, but he didn't get that skill… perhaps in the future.

In any case, later that night, Aion decided to use his system to process the pair of boots that he had bought. After a couple of minutes, four iron ores appeared in his inventory. Soon after, he made the system absorb those when he changed to the paladin class.

"Hmm… the refinement went to level three, as expected. It is easy to refine on the early levels," Aion thought. "The bonuses are quite nice as well, but since the materials were only of this level, it isn't the same as leveling up."

Aion wanted to test what the system could do with coins, but in the end, he decided to save it. If things go well, in one week, he will at least double the amount of gold coins that he has right at the moment.

It would be great if the coins could open a shop, but that would be too convenient since Aion wouldn't have to look for items and materials. In any case, Aion leveled up the spearman class two times, and he learned that sparring like that and in a sequence was a pretty good method to become stronger.

"The next spars will be harder, so I will have to keep using the spearman class, but I should train others now…" Aion thought while checking his options. "The classes that I can use in front of others now are Samurai, Warrior, and Berserker. Those are the only ones I have been neglecting as of late… Berserker probably doesn't suit me, or perhaps it does consider how I came to this world… I should train more starting tomorrow."

The next day, Aion went to the armory and then chose the berserker class. Two short axes appeared in his hands.

Aion decided to build that class to make it a physical class that focuses on damage per second. That was why he didn't have much mana with it. Rage and Roar only consumed stamina, the first increased his attack power, speed, and endurance based on the level, and the second might stun several enemies. HP Plus increased his health by five points per level. Once he decides to improve that skill, he will become quite tanky.

"I need to get some damage to level up HP plus, but we can't fight for real, so I guess I will abuse my muscles again…" Aion thought while he was heading to the garden.

Unfortunately, it looked like things wouldn't be as Aion had planned since some unknown individuals were there. They were talking with Aion's brothers, and they seemed to be kids around their ages as well. They were pretty well dressed and even were wearing fancy clothes and swords.

"Oh, great… more pointy nose nobles," Aion thought.

They were three kids, and despite their arrogant facial expressions, they appeared to be good friends of Henri. Philip, Georges, and Elio talked now and then, but they couldn't hide from Aion's eyes that they looked quite pissed.

"Oh, is this your brother, Henri? He is smaller than I thought," A light brown-haired and green-eyed boy said. "It seems that looks can be deceiving, considering the rumors of yesterday. I thought that you were trying to pull our legs when you said that someone skilled would be waiting for us at the guild, but…"

Aion frowned when he heard that… he couldn't tell if Henri and Philip were trying to help him by bringing more opponents or making him get into trouble by wounding the wrong ones. He thought that it was only a matter of time before they could truly become brothers, but perhaps he guessed it wrong…

"Hello, my name is Vangel," The green-eyed boy said. "Do you know who I am?"

"Yes… you are Vangel, a friend of my half-brother Henri," Aion replied.
