Chapter 43: Preparation
Chapter 43: Preparation
"What's going on?" Heinald asked.
"As you know, our last adventure was not quite the way we wanted, we went to the Greenhell Cavity area to get some ruins and experience, but we came out of there with loss. So we will go on another adventure to compensate it. Do you want to come with us? " Dane had a solemn expression.
"Sorry I have other plans to deal with. I'm planning to open myself a Potion Shop and earn some Arkana Crystal." After Heinald thought for a while, he shook his head.
"Potion Shop? Where?" Morena asked, slightly surprised.
"In a city with a lot of rich Ainsars!" Heinald smiled confidently.
"Pfft!" Everyone started laughing out loud.
"Why are you laughing?" Heinald's brows frowned slightly.
"Do you know how much it costs to open a shop in a city?" Dane wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Of course, I guess it will be quite costly, but at the end I can get a pretty good income selling potions." Heinald scratched his chin.
"You don't understand ..." Dane shook his head. "Even if you earn a lot of income by selling potions, opening a shop in a city will still be very costly. You will likely need at least fifty thousand Arkana Stones."
"What!? At least fifty thousand Arkana Stones?" Heinald cried in surprise.
"At least..." Morena smiled bitterly.
"And what about the towns?" Heinald asked after thinking for a moment.
"The price in the towns would of course be much more affordable. But if I were you, I still wouldn't expect a small amount." Dane exhaled loudly.
"I need to start brewing potions as soon as possible." Heinald muttered.
"Well! If you have your own plans then we can't force you to come with us. It's time for us to set off." Dane slowly stood up.
"Well when will we meet again? How will I contact you?" Heinald also stood up slowly.
"How would you like to meet here again in a year? If either of us is late in getting here due to an emergency, the first person to arrive will leave a letter and indicate the new meeting place. Dane replied after thinking for a moment.
"Agreed!" Heinald scratched his chin and then nodded.
After Dane and the others were gone, Heinald lay down on his bed and started thinking. He had learned many potion formulas with Master Albert. Of course these formulas were not high-end and expensive, but in contrast, expensive materials were not required to brew them. They could be made in large numbers with very easily available materials. Heinald would also include these potions when he opened his shop. When he did a little calculation, he even realized that he could make more profit with these potions.
In fact, his idea was to open a shop in a city, but such an initiative seemed unaffordable, at least for now. If he could open a shop in the city, he would be close to the resources and he could do his research and experiments better, but this would still not be too much of a problem for him. He would just have to travel a lot from town to city.
Heinald left his room and went down to the innkeeper, and he had some questions to ask.
"How can i help you, sir?" The innkeeper immediately bowed his head when he saw Heinald walking towards him.
"There are a few questions I want to ask you." Heinald said.
"What is it, sir?"
"They say all the innkeepers know each other, is it true?" Heinald glanced at the innkeeper.
"Not all, but most innkeepers know each other." Innkeeper nodded.
"Do other innkeepers tell you about the situation where they have been?" Heinald asked.
"Whenever we trade with each other, we sit down and chat a little bit." Innkeeper lightly nodded.
"Then, assuming you know, I ask...What town is the most frequented town by the Ainsars?" Heinald scratched his chin.
"I can't tell you a single town, sir, because usually the most visited towns vary according to various situations. But I can tell you the most visited ones generally." The innkeeper thought for a while. "The most visited towns were often border towns. Ainsars who traveled between the kingdoms first came to the towns for accommodation."
The innkeeper did as he said and listed all the frequently visited towns.
Heinald gave the innkeeper two Arkana Stones for his services and left.
First he was going to buy himself a new horse, he had no idea what happened to his old horse, Shadow. He had learned from the innkeeper where the Market Square of this city was. According to Heinald's observations, Hunran City had more Ainsar than any other city he was in. Having too much Ainsar in a city was always good for him.
"Maybe there are more resources in Market Square than in other cities." Heinald muttered.
The Market Square of Hunran City was located on the north side of the city. When Heinald got there he saw a crowd of Ainsar he had never seen before, there were many shops around.
"All my Alchemy tools remained in the Risingmoon Kingdom. I had better buy new ones, as I don't think of getting back there yet." Heinald muttered.
Heinald went into a shop that sells ingredients for potions and bought all the ingredients he needed.Since he didn't have many Arkana Stones, he bought the ingredients for the lowest-tier potions he had learned from Master Albert.
Then he went and bought himself a nice horse. Although his new horse was not as strong as his old horse, Shadow, it was still a good horse.
After finishing work at Market Square, he set out for Guljan Town. This town was located on the eastern border of the kingdom and was the closest border town to Hunran City. According to the innkeeper, it was a town frequented by the Ainsars. He was going to make some observations in Guljan Town, and if he saw fit, he would open a Potion Shop there.
********
Heinald arrived in Guljan Town after a five-day journey. This town was located in the westernmost part of the kingdom, almost the same in size as Tulan Town. He would first rent a house in this town and brew potions, then talk to the town authorities to rent a shop, but he didn't have much hope. To do business in towns and cities, it often made sense to buy that shop entirely. Of course, the shops could be rented with a good deal, but in the long run, these deals were causing huge losses.
Heinald went straight to the town's central building. When he entered, he felt oddly bored, as the inside was rather bleak. To the right of the great hall he saw an old woman with a sullen face, in front of her was a table made of wood and full of carvings on it.
"Greetings! I want to rent a house." Heinald came before the woman and expressed his wish.
"What size do you want and for how long?" The woman asked.
"Medium size, I want one year for now." Heinald replied after thinking for a moment.
"You can see the houses that meet your criteria by looking at this catalog." The woman held out a catalog.
Heinald chose a suitable house from the catalog and paid for it. Since this is only a border town, house rents were pretty low, only paying one Arkana Crystal for each year's rent. An attendant accompanied Heinald to show him to the place of the house. When Heinald arrived in the house he rented, he began to look around indifferently. It had a medium sized living room with a small bathroom and a small bedroom.
"Pretty enough!" Heinald nodded.
Heinald took out the alchemical tools and potion ingredients he had bought from the dimensional pocket of his robe. After arranging the tools and materials properly, he started the production of various potions. All of these potions were the lowest tier potions, of course it was quite difficult for most Ainsars to make even these potions, but it was very easy for him.
These potions had effects such as temporarily increasing physical strength, preventing blood flow from open wounds, relaxing the mind, or hardening the skin. However, since they are low-level potions, these effects were very short-lived and there was little effect. Moreover, due to the ingredients of the potion, the purity rate was very low, so the body quickly produced resistance to these potions and consuming these potions more became meaningless.
After Heinald finished his preparations, he went through an intense potion making process. He would produce various potions using all the ingredients he had. Moreover, he would conduct in-depth research on all the highly valuable and rare plants he had previously obtained and expand his knowledge reservoir. Wasting these precious and rare plants just for research seemed like a huge waste at first, but later believed that this information would be of great use in the future.
