The Moon Thief

Chapter 113: Ruthas Academy

Chapter 113: Ruthas Academy

Heinald left the Risingmoon Kingdom after that night.

He had been freed from this burden that had been constantly eating one part of his heart for a long time, he had taken his revenge!

He embarked on the journey to the Meitharian Territory on the Revakender's back. He could feel in his heart that his grandfather was no longer alive, but there was still some hope in him. He had not been able to visit him in the past years because he had responsibilities to take care of.

After a long journey, when he reached the Meitharian Territory, he remembered how dry this region was in terms of elemental energy. Most of the people in this region did not even know what Ainsar was. This was because no Ainsar Kingdom had ever been established here before.

Heinald understood better why not a single Ainsar Kingdom was established in this region!

He passed over Rusan Town and began descending towards the wooded area, north of the town. No one in town had seen Revakender since it was night time, but if they did, they would most likely have a heart attack from fear.

When Revakender landed in the middle of the wooded area, it caused dozens of trees in the surrounding area to fall. Its gigantic body was too big to fit among the trees in the wooded area.

A bitter smile appeared on Heinald's face when he saw the house and garden where he lived in his childhood. He was still an Apprentice Ainsar when he left here. His entire knowledge of the Ainsar World consisted of the memories his grandfather told and the books he read.

He got off Revakender's back and started walking towards the small stone house. When he opened the door of the house, he smelled the smell of many potions brewed with his grandfather. The smell of the potions they made permeated the whole house.

Heinald walked in the dark and came to the fireplace and set it ablaze. He walked slowly through every room of his childhood home, and finally came back to the fireplace. He picked up the note on the armchair by the fireplace, his grandfather's favorite place, and began to read.

In this note, his grandfather had said goodbye to him briefly and talked about how his mother and father had died. He had already learned this from Luian. His parents had been betrayed and his grandfather could not had done nothing in return.

Heinald tossed the note into the fire and sighed.

He was not an emotional person, in fact, it could be said that he had a rather harsh temperament thanks to the solid training he received from his childhood. Of course he was n't going to sit down and cry for her parents, but he would have wanted to get to know them.

When the time came, he would take action to avenge them.

After spending a few days in the stone house, Heinald left.

Within a few days, this had questioned Hamra and learned that the energy source of her Protective Type Magical Treasure was actually the blood of the Three Headed Inferno Crocodile. This crocodile was a Magical Beast that even a Level 2 Ainsar would have a hard time against, and it was a very rare species.

Moreover, he had learned the details of the technique with which he rule the Magician Beasts, but had not started working on this technique.

He began to wander through this desolate region of the Ainsar World. Although he spent his entire childhood in this part of the world, he did not have much time to travel due to the education he received.

He hadn't even traveled all of the Meitharian Territory.

He was flying low on the back of his dragon, moving across the wide plains. Only ordinary wild animals lived on these plains. The shortage of Elemental Energy in this part of the world made it impossible for Magical Beasts to choose this place as well.

According to his calculations, the effect of an elemental-based spell he would cast here would be 60% less effective than in other parts of the world. This was a really big restriction, but there was no reduction in his physical strength.

Seeing a low-flying dragon, ordinary people either froze in fear or began to flee at full speed.

Heinald spent several months in the wild, without thinking and doing nothing. The only thing he did during this period was to spend time in nature and travel in the misty mountains.

These few months had calmed and rested his mind and soul. For many years, he had been striving to advance without stopping, so this process that he spent doing nothing and not thinking anything was very good for him.

But now it was time to leave this desolate area!

He could now join Ruthas Academy and access some of the research and high-level knowledge he needed there. It could be obtained for high amounts of Arkana Stones for sources that gave high-level knowledge in various shops in various cities, but none of them could contain as high-level knowledge as sources in academies supported by powerful families and clans.

He could join the Potions Brewing section there as he wished, anyway, he wasn't going to go there to study potions or herbs. He would go there to gain access to the research done by the various departments there.

Heinald made a journey to the Grandsky Hills that took months.

When Ruthas Academy came into his sight, he observed that this place was the same as it was years ago, and hasn't changed at all. Considering this is a small city rather than an academy, this took him a bit by surprise.

"Stop!" The clouds changed shape and formed a face.

Heinald knew what it was, it was the academy's defensive formation. Naturally, they wanted to stop an Ainsar riding a dragon.

"My name is Heinald, I was in Lady Tisha's team before and I entered the Starlight Realm. I am here today with the intention of joining the academy."

"Where the hell did you get a dragon?"

Heinald grinned, "It's my Spirit Companion!"

"You made a dragon... your Spirit Companion?"

Ainsar, who ruled the formation, was going through one of the biggest shocks in his life. This man had succeeded in making a dragon a Spirit Companion.

"Yes, please let me pass!"

Heinald landed behind the academy's main buildings. He was greeted by several Level 1 Ainsars.

They were trembling with fear as they saw a dragon for the first time.

"Take me to the head of the Potions Division!" After Heinald descended from his dragon's back, he gave orders to the Level 1 Ainsars in front of him.

"Yes, sir!" Level 1 Ainsars immediately lowered their heads.

Level 1 Ainsars took him to the building next to the academy's headquarters building. This building had a circular architecture and had a large garden in the middle. The building consisted of five floors in total.

When the head of the Potions Division learned that Heinald wanted to meet with him, he immediately agreed to meet with him. He was aware of Heinald's talent and knowledge that he was Albin Redsand's apprentice.

When Heinald entered his room, the first thing that caught his eye was a large painting of Master Alveron hanging on the wall. Apart from that, there were many bookshelves and plants in the room.

A gray-haired man stood in the middle of the room. His eyes were green and his body structure was quite robust. The energy waves emanating from him indicated that he was a mid-phase Level 2 Ainsar.

"Welcome! I'm Larten Olyss, its nice to finally meet you!"

"Greetings! I'm Heinald."

"Congratulations on your breakthrough!" Larten naturally understood that the energy waves emanating from him belonged to a Level 2 Ainsar. He knew that he was a Level 1 Ainsar the last time he came to the academy.

"Thanks!" Heinald chuckled lightly, "I'm here today to enroll at Ruthas Academy, naturally I want to join the Potions Division."

"Great! But before that, let me give you some information about our academy."

Larten began to tell him various information he needed to know.

The most important thing in Ruthas Academy was undoubtedly the "Achievement Points". Everyone who was a member of this academy had to collect at least 100 Achievement Points per year or they would be kicked out of the academy no matter how talented they are.

At Ruthas Academy, the Arkana Stone was worthless. Only Achievement Points were used in this academy. For example, if Heinald wanted to buy a copy of a book about formations, he could do so simply by spending Achievement Points.

Achievement Points meant everything in this academy!

Achievement Points, on the other hand, could only be obtained in two ways: The first was by fulfilling the quests given by the Ruthas Academy. The second was by making a contribution to the section you were a member of.

Heinald had no doubt that he could easily contribute to the potions department. His level was probably much higher than even Larten's.

His main concern was the quests. Every member of the Ruthas Academy must accept and successfully complete a quest at least once every two years. These quests were dependent on members' selection, and naturally harder quests gave more Achievement Points.

When Heinald considered these terms and accepted, he accompanied him to the academy's headquarters for the initiation ceremony.

Initiation Ceremony: It would be by making a Spirit Agreement. All forms of treason and any hostile action against the academy were prohibited. It was quite similar to the Blood Agreement, but much more effective than that.

Heinald made a pact on his spirit that he would not be involved in any betrayal as long as he was a member of the academy, thus officially becoming a member of the Ruthas Academy.
