Chapter 131 - The Wind Scroll: The Wind Maiden
The wind that was blowing around them reversed their direction and started to blow strongly than ever.
Hearing the warning from the Le Fang ling immediately stepped back and looked at it as if she was looking at There were two currents of wind flowing in different directions.
The turbulence created a vortex of wind. The wind whistled around them eerily, as if they were in some sort of horror setting.
Le Fang ling and Nagina huddled close to each other while maintaining a safe distance between them and the weird scroll.
Shing!!
The sparkles glowed brighter and bigger. It gave an illusion of the runes and all the letters inside the scroll floating outside and forming a particular pattern.
"Ehh?" Le fang Ling exclaimed in surprise as she looked at the shape the rune was taking. Unlike before, the runes did not take the shape of spherical path or anything geometrical.
She had never missed geometry class when she was in Earth so she was positive that the shape the runes were taking was definitely not another shape.
'A human shape?' she widened her eyes in bewilderment as the light took the sparkles took the form of a tall curvy shape.
The wind blew around the figure, hiding the figure from their sight momentarily. The leaves from the tree around there got plucked and swept away in the rushing wind that was creating a vortex of wind around the glowing figure.
Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light, rendering them temporarily blind.
"What now? Are we seeing something else now?" Le Fang Ling peeked at the whirlwind that was still roaring.
The brightness of the light finally died down and Le Fang Ling could finally look at the place where the whirlwind was without having to strain her eyes.
She could still vaguely make out the silhouette of a body in the bright light.
"A human form?" Nagina mumbled out as the light slowly began to take a physical form.
And indeed she was correct.
"Ehhh?!!"
Both Nagina and Le fang Ling yelled out in surprise, their jaw almost dropping to the floor when they saw what the runes had finally turned into.
Right in front of them was maiden floating, her long brown hair gently swinging in the air. Her face looked as if she had not been out on the sun for ages while her skin looked as white as milk. Her eyes were closed so they could not see what color her eyes were.
But her foxy eyes that looked seductive at glance even though they were closed added a charm to her over all presence.
She looked like a true immortal, a true deity who had descended upon earth. The wind continued to howl louder than ever but it could not do anything to the maiden.
The long scarfs on her thin green robes fluttered around while threatening to fly off from her body. Her ample bosom presented itself like a beautiful chair looking at which both Nagina and Le Fang Ling felt the heat on their cheek rising.
"Who this beauty might be?" Le Fang Ling asked as she pinched herself to snap out of her delusional thoughts. Despite all said and done, she knew that this beauty was not any normal existence.
"She came from the wind scroll, so is she…." Nagina who was looking at her paused for a bit to make sure she was seeing the correct thing.
"She is the scroll?" Le Fang Ling completed her sentence as she continued to gaze upon the beauty, who still had her eyes closed. She seemed to be some sort of mediation.
Her entire presence gave the feeling of purity and limitless strength.
"…"
"She is not?" le Fang Ling said with a bit of nervous chuckle.
Nagina shook her head.
"You are correct and you are incorrect," she sighed. The system tab suddenly appeared in front of Le Fang Ling. It contained most of the necessary information on the beauty that was in front of her.
"She is indeed the scroll but she is much more than that," she stopped talking while simply pointing at the tab.
"As for the rest, I will tell you myself," a cold yet sweet voice echoed in the space they were enclosed in.
Both of them froze in whatever they were doing when they heard another voice in the place where only toe of them were supposed to be able to speak.
They turned to look at the source of sound in a robotic motion, their teeth clattering due to fear and the cold because of the wind that was blowing. Well, it was hard to say what was the reason but it was pretty sure, they were taken aback by the sudden sound.
The fact that they could hear it clearly even among the noise that the wind was producing was more scary and impressive.
"Did she…just spoke?" Le Fang Ling whispered as she stared at the closed face of the meditating beauty.
"I am positive that it was indeed her who spoke," she said with an affirmative look on her face.
"I agree with Nagina too," the voice spoke once again. This time the voice was more clear and distinct as if it was speaking from right in front of them.
"It was indeed me," the maiden who had her foxy eyes closed in mediation opened her eyes.
Both of them once again gasped at the sight they behold in front of them.
Her eyes looked like they were made up of crystals and gems, reflecting the light that fell on them, making her look like as if they were adorned with magic and spells.
Light flickered in her those eyes when they landed on the beautiful females before her.
Le Fang Ling covered her mouth with her palm to stop herself from being shocked from every extraordinary thing she saw.
'They are just eyes, get hold of yourself, you simp!!' she reprimanded herself to stop drooling over the god damn beauty.
Well, she could not blame herself though. Even if she herself was a peerless beauty, she had long gone over the phase of simping over oneself. Her own face bored her except the eyes that seemed vaster than the ocean.
She adored beauty of Nagina and An Cheng. Even Elder Lin was a beauty in her eyes, but seeing new beauties never hurt anyone now, did it?
Seeing another beauty such as the wind scroll maiden was change of pace for her. She finally felt like she was breathing in fresh air.
"But her eyes are magical," she patted her chest.
She was sure that it was indeed spell because while looking at them she could not help but be spell bound.
"Cough, you are the maiden who takes care of the scroll?" Le Fang Ling asked as she swiped away the tab. She did not wish to know about someone just by reading. Communication was the key and she was going to hold a communication with this beauty, cough, deity.
"Wait, let me get down first," the maiden stopped Le Fang long from either advancing or speaking more. She was still levitating in the air so she was trying to get down on the ground.
"Let me get down first," she said with a polite smile.
"And also the wind, that was my bad," she said as she snapped her finger. She snapped her finger and in flash of light, the wind speed decreased considerably before it went to the normal speed. The vortex of the wind also ceased to form and soon, the whole space became quiet as if nothing had happened.
"All set," she smiled with satisfaction upon seeing that everything was calm.
She gently flipped her hair backward before stepping down, her right feet touching the ground before than the other one.
"This feeling, I missed it," she smiled as she savored the feeling of having the grass touch her feet. The smell of land, the tress, the flowers, she had missed them to death.
The feel of land, the touch of grass blades and the songs of birds; she had missed all of them in her hundreds of years of seclusion and cultivation.
She ran around a bit before she finally stopped in front of Le Fang Ling and Nagina who were looking at her with mixed emotions. They were not sure what to think about this childish behavior of someone who looked mature and enlightened.
"That was awesome," she exclaimed in excitement, her jewel eyes sparkling with smile.
"But well, I think it's about time to float again," she sighed as she was once again lifted up in the air. She regained her composure and aura from before as soon as she lifted herself up in air.
"I do not want to get my feet dirty you see," she smiled as she pointed at her bare feet.
"Ohhh…"
"Back to the topic," she clapped her hand to grab the attention of the two people who were lost in some kind of thought.
" I am the wind spirit or you can call me wind maiden," she said while bowing down in courtesy gesture.
"Also, I am one of the five element spirit who reside in the sacred treasure of the first five families of the twin star continent."
"You can call me Feng Po Po," she glanced at both Le Fang Ling and Nagina with a meaningful smile on her face.
"And as of today, I am bound to you."
As soon as she was done speaking, a jade ring appeared on the index finger of Le fang Ling.
