Chapter 129 - It's Just Been A Week
"Everyone is dismissed," the voice of Sect Leader echoed in the hall as he flipped around and disappeared from where he was standing without giving any warning.
No one moved a bit from where they were standing, making it seem as if they were all in the state of stalemate condition. It was only after grandmaster Lan clapped his hand did everyone realize to breathe.
"The tournament will officially start at the dusk tonight," he announced before he walked out of the hall with the other elders and masters of the sect following behind him in a straight line. With the grandmaster Lan leading the line and other following silently after him could give one an illusion of ducklings following after their mom duck.
The only difference was that they were not producing quacking sound…
A chilling shudder ran up her spine as she imagined the elders quaking as they followed after Grandmaster Lan. It was her imagination and not a reality but she could not help but feel oddly weirded out with her own imagination.
"…."
Nagina who could understand everything she was thinking could not help but feel dumbfounded at her host.
"You don't overthink any situation," she spurted out with a hiss. She did not want to admit it but what her host was thinking was indeed making her skin crawl too…
Oh well, she was the one how crawled but still…
"I know right," Le Fang long said as she shook her head feeling a bit stupid. She decided to completely cut off her source of creativity for a bit since she did not want to suffer from it. It reminded her of how it felt to suffer from success.
She knew it was going to be quite a day with all the amount of excitement she had have today. She waited for a bit to have the all of the elders leave. After them, all the disciples started to follow them out of the hall one by one.
Soon, most of the disciples had left except for a group of senior disciples who were disusing something among themselves. Le Fang ling eyed them for a bit before her eyes caught hold of An Cheng who seemed to be in a serious conversation with the people surrounding her.
Unconsciously, her lips stretched out in a wide smile. She had not seen her after the provocative stunt she pulled with Nagina. She really wanted to go and have a talk with her, but seeing as to how the current situation was faring she decided to wait until next time to talk.
Neither she, nor An Chneg was going to run away or disappear in poof of air after all. She was going to wait until An Chneg was free of her duties and responsibilities as the inching of the whole tournament.
She wanted to help all she could but she was only going to be looked on as a useless burden by these people. She knew it and so she decided to just do what she could from the shadows, to the extent of her ability.
Her eyes wafted away from her until it landed up on a familiar face. The smile on her face immediately faded away when she saw a guy leaning on a wall.
'Zhang Wei,' she mumbled under her breathe as she traced the image of the young youth who attacked her the moment she entered the sect with the boy that was leaning in the wall, looking at An Cheng with a soft and goofy smile on her face.
Her eyes travelled between An Cheng who was talking to the boy who was eying her like as if she was the last piece of cake made her want to gouge her own eyes out and wash them with holy water.
"That little piece of shit," she mumbled with a gritted teeth looking at the luscious gaze of the boy.
"How dare he harbor those impure thoughts towards senior sister?" she could not help but say in anger as she balled up her palm in a fist. She hated that someone else was trying to make a move on her senior sister.
"…."
"As if you are any better…" Nagina's voice trailed off in disdain as she thought about how her host wanted to eat the senior sister. She knew it even better than Le Fang Ling herself.
"You want to have her for yourself, don't you?" she said with a slight hiss.
Le Fang Ling was caught in 4K with this statement from Nagina. She was indeed angry at the boy for thinking lewd things about her but that also meant she was just jealous about this whole situation.
"I uhh, well…"
"It's fine, you do not have to explain and justify everything you say and do," Nagina simply waved off the topic with a shake of her tail. She did not want to get caught up in this useless discussion whose conclusion she already knew.
Le Fang Ling also simply nodded her head as she looked at the crowd in front of her before turning away to head out. She had no time to be chanting after a girl that was so far ahead of her.
She was unworthy of her if she was not going to prove her worth despite being called a worthless child.
An Cheng who had been solely focused on the whole conversation she was having with the disciple slightly raised her eyes to look sideways, only to see the lone figure of her junior sister leaving the hall.
Well, technically she was not alone but from the perspective of An Cheng, she indeed looked as if she was all alone. Her disappearing figure looked a little bent and depressed. Seeing her walk away like that made her want to go and give a big hug to her..
'How am I supposed to face her after all that has been done and all…' she sighed as she decided to shake off the little girl form her mind.
She was not there to babysit her after all.
"Alright…" she continued talking as if nothing had happened at all.
….
"By the way host, did you manage to finally find your way to the dimension that you spoke of?" Nagina asked feeling a bit curious. She was her system but she herself had a hard time going into the dimension with her host.
It was as if she was being restricted to enter that space her host mentioned. She doubted it was probably Lilith who was having the time of her life inside the dimension.
Other than that there was no explanation for the rejection she got when she tried to evade the boundaries of the dimension of the host.
"Her loss, she can't meet a cutie like me," she thought to herself.
"Host, why are you leaning like that?" Nagina asked when she did not get any reply form her host except for her walking like a cripple while bending.
Le Fang Ling stood up abruptly and smiled as she sent a flying wink at Nagina.
"You will never know what I was doing," she said playfully as she started to increase her pace towards the out courtyard of the sect. She could not say that she was scratching an itch on her thigh now could she?
That was simply too embarrassing so she decided to play the part of being mysterious and looking at the dumbfounded expression on Nagina's round red eyes, she knew that she had totally aced it.
Nagina: "…"
"And what about the slabs? Did you keep them inside the dimension?" Nagina posed her question once again, the only difference was that she was asking out of curiosity upon the secret of breaking the barrier of the dimension.
"yes, they are there," Le Fang Ling nodded her head in confirmation.
"Also with my mom to be precise," she added as she increased her pace.
Nagina was thoughtful as she tried to figure out if there was any way that her host could enter and exit the dimension without having to rely on Lilith or any sort of luck which appeared out of nowhere. She certainly was not doing all this hard work because she wanted to go and see how it looked like.
Cough!!
"I think if I try a few more times, I might be able to entre my dimensions and maybe discover other various spaces inside the dimension itself." Le Fang Ling continued speaking like an ignorant dork even though she heard what Nagina had to say.'
Now-a-days she was capable of joining in a telepathic communication without her having to rely on Nagina.
"Pfft,"she chuckled when she heard the funny thoughts that were swimming inside her head.
"I will make sure that you are going to be able to enter the dimension someday," she said with a sigh as she patted the little head of the snake resting on her shoulder.
She smiled a satisfied smile upon the snuggling response of Nagina under her touch. Standing at the courtyard among hundreds of disciples who were moving about, she looked around at the place she has been in for a week.
"It's just been a week…and feels like I have been here for ages," she mumbled lightly as she looked at mid-day sun that was shining brightly.
The doors were all open as today the main event was going to be held in the big training ground that was located on the center of the vermillion peak.
"Alrighty, we go now little lady," she said as she placed Nagina down on the grassland of the courtyard. She was covered in a red spark until in the place of the snake, a young teenage girl stood, her silvery white hair floating in the air.
"Now we are all set," Le Fang Ling smiled as she grabbed her wrist, a smile lit up on her face as she looked forward, towards the new adventure they were stepping on.
