Chapter 127 - Ehh? You Actually Did It?
A spatial tear appeared on the space which grew bigger and bigger until it was large enough for a human figure to enter through it. Dressed in a long black robe with a slight gold border, an elderly man came out of the spatial tear.
He stood for a while on the ground, without showing any sign of moving.
"Was I gone for long?" he thought to himself as he looked around, feeling a little lost.
Shaking his head, he started to head towards the monastery on the top of one of the hill. He was just out of his dimension for a bit, spent a moment in the mortal realm and returned back.
The sky had turned a deep shade of red and orange color with some stares scattered all over the evening sky, looking like a scene out of an enchanting fairy tale.
The time difference was indeed something he never understood but oh well..
"I am just a small existence in this vast universe," he shook his head while increasing his footsteps towards the monastery.
Although he had not visited this place in a long time after he started to live like a weapon smith in the mortal realm he could not deny that the beauty of this place was something else out of this world.
So, he decided to take his time to enjoy walking while enjoying the scenery this long forgotten had to offer him, and he kind of loved it.
At the top of the hill, he could see light flickering giving a sense of presence of someone. That place was the only place which looked alive out of the entire surrounding.
"I wonder what their reaction will be? After all, they have been inside her for a full one day," he chuckled as he stroked his long white beard.
He quickened his step as he was curious about many things.
After a walk that was equivalent to a sprint, he finally reached the majestic gate of the monastery. In silent step, he walked inside and reached the courtyard that was empty and dark. The only light in the whole place was lit inside the monastery.
He could vaguely make outline a human girl who was seated on the floor and seemed to be mediating. There was a hint of surprise in his face as he stared at the screen before him with a complicated gaze.
"Don't tell me," he wondered as he looked at Le Fang Ling.
"She had been doing this the entire day?"
As if sensing that he had arrived, Le fang Ling opened her eyes, and turned around to look at the tall figure.
"Master, you have arrived?" she smiled at the figure as she hurried to stand up. There was something excited in her step and the way she approached him.
Nagina saw that her host has woke up from her mediation which meant she could also stop doing it.
She had not been sure about mediation and all, but surprisingly, when she meditated she could sort out her data more properly without feeling burdened.
Plus, she had nothing better to do with her host spending time to cultivate and train. This short session of relaxation acted like a chill pill for her.
'Taking a chill pill and relaxing once in a while seems not that bad,' she thought to herself as she made her way towards Master Yi Feng, following right after Le fang Ling.
As soon as she stepped out, she realized how wrong she had been!!
It was not short session!!
It was already evening and it was starting to get dark outside.
She spent the freaking whole day in this place with her eyes closed.
"Time flew so fast!!" she exclaimed in surprise as she quickened her movement. She did not stop until she caught up with Le Fang ling.
"En," Le Fang Ling nodded her head to her statement.
"Welcome back, Master Yi Feng," Le Fang Ling greeted him with a bow.
Master Yi Feng simply nodded his head as he waited for her to continue speaking further. He was hoping for her surprised remarks about how the time had ran away inside the dimension.
But, there came none even after waiting for a minute or two.
"Disciple Le, isn't there anything that you have to say to me?" he asked with a tad bit curiosity. She seemed oddly calm about this entire situation. Even when he first trained his master, he was pretty surprised about a whole lot of thing.
"Indeed I have master," said Le Fang Ling.
Hearing his question, a smile broke into her lips as she nodded her head.
"Master, I have completed the task that you have given me."
"Oho," Master Yi Feng was a bit surprised about the development. He had given her the work but he did not think that she would be able to do it. After all, in the time of despair and anxiety, people tended to forget even the smallest of the thing.
If she could actually do what he had thought, using qi as a blanket that could cover the existence of a something. It was invisibility but a bit advanced as it was much full proof and hard to detect.
"Are you sure you just didn't toss it away?" he eyes her with suspicion.
"Of course I did not master," she smiled without any reserve. She was confident in what she was saying and doing. Even the provocation of the old man was not able to doubt her.
This was actually…
'Interesting!!' Master Yi Feng exclaimed inside his head as he decided to check if what she said was true. With his level and cultivation base, there was no doubt that he was going to be able to detect the two stone slabs.
After all, the spiritual presence of those two slabs was as same as the big chunk of spiritual masses over there on the hill.
And with her ability, he was damn sure he will be able to penetrate through the defense line she has made.
He closed his eyes and spread his divine sense everywhere to pinpoint the exact location of the stone slab. After a while, he abruptly opened his eyes, looking as if he had seen the ghost itself.
"HUH? IT'S NOT HERE?!"
….
The dimension was not that big. Well, it was big enough for him but with his divine sense, he could cover the entire place and sense everything that was happening around.
His eyes were restless as they continued to turn every stone and rummage through every bush in the space with his divine sense, in the hope of finding the two stone slabs.
He was sure, she had either hidden it somewhere or if she was able to camouflage it properly with her qi.
He was certain that he could tear down the curtain of deception but even after he searched frantically all around his dimension, it was nowhere to be found.
He shut off his divine sense and turned his attention back to the girl who was waiting for him like a primary student waiting for her teacher to grade her test paper.
"You actually did it?" he asked with a sigh when he finally accepted that he was indeed unable to find the stone slabs and she had done a good job of erasing it from the existence.
"Yes, this disciple is proud to have complete the task given by my master," Le Fang Ling repeated back with a victorious smile on her face.
"So you managed to manipulate your qi to such a degree huh?" he expressed his doubt. He wanted to ask her to show the stone slabs that she was tasked to hold and he did.
"I must say, I am pretty much impressed by it," he shrugged his shoulder feeling a bit proud and a little relived about his choice of disciple. He really had a few different opinion and doubts about a problem child from a Nobel family.
Since Le Fang Ling managed to break the "so-called-image" he had in his mind, he was pretty looking forward to future trainings.
"So, disciple Le, I think you can show me where the stone slabs are?"
Le Fang Ling who had been basking in the praise shower she got from Master Yi Feng suddenly stopped smiling as if a water bucket of cold ice water was dumped down on her.
"S-show the stone?" Le Fang Ling repeated what he said, looking a little anxious. A thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead despite it being a cool evening.
"Yes, indeed." Master Yi Feng nodded his head. He did not think much about the suspicious way she was acting.
"Err, master, cough.." Le Fang Ling calmed down her heart that was beating at 100 times per minute and said with a little quivering voice.
"I thought you said you were not going to ask about the stone slabs…" she reminded him of what she had said before he left her stranded on this place and disappeared.
"I did?" He widened his eyes when he heard what she had to say. He did remember saying he did not care what she did as long as the stone was nowhere to be found in this dimension.
That did mean he was not going to ask about the whereabouts of the stone slabs.
'Do both of them mean the same thing?' he questioned himself feeling a little lost.
"Of course you did master," she nodded her head vigorously.
"I really do not think it's a good idea for you to go back on your words," Le Fang Ling placed down her last bait of words.
"I believe we should close this matter here and proceed further," she maintained a righteous face as she clasped her palm together.
