Chapter 126 - The Instruction
'Still, do you think it's a blessing?'
Master Yi Fang's question echoed in her mind in a dramatic way.
"Of course I don't think it's a blessing with the way you are putting it!" she yelled as she held the two stone slabs in her hand.
Nagina, who was still in her snake form and sleeping soundly on a stone stool was startled awake by the outburst of her host. She lost her balance and tumbled down on the floor with a small thud.
"Damn!!"
Nagina cried out a little irritated when her rest was disturbed because of her host. She had finally taken this form and she was having a nice time relaxing until her host startled her with her yelling.
The environment here was refresh and relaxing. Since this place was also filled with higher amount of spiritual energy, Nagina felt at peace here.
Le Fang Ling turned her head to look at the tiny snake that had just fallen down on the floor.
"Ooof," Le Fang Ling sighed as she got up from the place she was seated and went to pick up Nagina.
"Why are you still in this form?" Le Fang Ling asked as she picked up the little wiggling creature. She carefully carried her to the place she was seated.
"Because it's easier to do so," Nagina said as she snuggled with her, making herself comfy.
"I mean I get to be carried by you," Nagina answered as if it was a matter of fact.
Le fang Ling said nothing as she settled down on the floor. She carefully placed her on a cotton cushion right next to her and took back the tow stone slabs.
"I still don't get it!" she sighed as she helplessly looked at the ordinary pair of stone that seemed to be laughing at her and her incompetence.
Master Yi Feng had given her the two stone slabs and gave her a single instruction before he disappeared from the whole dimension.
After they had had a short conversation about a few things, her master had ditched her and went somewhere to do who knows what with who knows who.
A few minutes ago…
"You are currently training your wind based spiritual root, aren't you?" he asked her to which she nodded her head in agreement.
"And you were trying to train using a scroll that Elder Mo from your sect?"
"Yes, but things happened and cough," Le Fang Ling looked guiltily at Nagina who was sitting obediently on her shoulder.
"What?" Nagina asked when she could not stand the piercing gaze anymore.
"N-Nothing at all, hehe," Le Fang Ling laughed cheerfully as she turned her attention back to Master Yi Feng who was eying both of them simultaneously.
He looked with a bit of suspicion at both of them, for he felt there was something wrong between them.
Was the air a little sweet and filled with pink hearts? He squinted his eyes as he looked at the two people in front of him.
"Ahemm," he cleared his throat as he snapped himself out of this delusional thought. It almost made him break out of his serious and wise looking elder persona.
"Disciple Le," he called out to Le Fang Ling to get back her attention.
"Before I teach you about weapon spirit, you will have to figure out a few things before I am back from my short outing," he said while pointing at the stone slabs on her hand.
"By the time I come back, see if you can manage to do something about this," he said casually.
"…"
"By something?" Le Fang ling wanted a further explanation on this something.
Master Yi Feng Looked a bit confused about how to explain the whole thing. He was silent for a bit before he finally thought of what he should say to make his intention clear.
"By the time I return, make sure I do not have to see this again. Make sure I don't find this anywhere in this dimension."
"Try to burn it, smash it or do whatever, but I should not even find its existence," he became more through with his words.
"Think of it as hide and seek and you my girl, have plenty time left to hide it." he stroked her beard as he looked down at her.
Le Fang ling nodded her head as she got surface idea of the whole thing.
Seeing that Le Fang Ling had no more question to ask, he finally heaved a sigh of relief. Taking in a disciple was much more of a hassle than he had expected.
Well, he was enjoying it to some extent even with all of the extra work he had to do, so that was a win in most case.
There was nothing that was exceptional about her except her unusual qi control and manipulation. That was something that had caught his eyes ever since he saw her fight for the first time.
He wanted her to explore all of the edges and curves of what she was capable of achieving through it before he went on to the further portion of the training.
Plus, this task he gave her was also simple. He just wanted her to be able to camouflage the stones or who knows do something that will make it lose its original presence.
He was going out leave everything else to her to figure out on her own. He was just going to give her tasks to do.
The rest was up to her.
"Then I will see you later," he snapped his finger and without any warning, he disappeared from where he was standing in poof.
Suddenly, it was only Le Fang Ling and Nagina who were in that lonely dimension with no means of going anywhere.
Le fang ling stared at the empty place for a bit, feeling quite stupid.
"So, a game of hide and seek huh?" she mumbled to herself as she looked at the two stone slabs.
She had no idea if what he gave her to do was just a prank or if it was some kind do joke that he was playing on her.
"Hmm, hide and seek," she scrunched up her nose as she showed Nagina the two stone slabs.
"Any idea as to how we can hide them so that he can't find it?"
Nagina looked at the stone for a bit before she turned her head away from it.
"What's wrong?" Le Fang ling asked with concern.
"I don't know, use your own brain." She simply scoffed and slipped down from her body. Without looking at Le Fang ling, she made her way towards the small stone seat that was on the courtyard of the monastery that they were on.
Le Fang ling looked with a hint of surprise and confusion on her face at the tiny creature that was crawling away from her.
As for Nagina, she wiggled her way to the stone chair and climbed up on it with quite a struggle. Seeing her, le fang Ling had the urge to do something about it.
She even wanted to go and help her up but before she moved a step from her place, Nagina actually succeeded to get on the top and settle herself.
"Figure it out by yourself," Nagina said before she rested her head on her coiled body and went to sleep.
She suddenly raised her head and looked at Le Fang ling.
"I am pretty sure I am not allowed to help you out here."
She continued looking at Le fang ling with her beautiful round eyes as if waiting for her response.
Feeling a bit complicated, Le Fang Ling sighed helplessly as she went towards where she was. She patted her round head with her index fingers, feeling the smooth scale under her fingertips, the sensation was addicting to her.
"I understand," she sighed as she lifted her hand and went to sit on the floor. As the whole ground was carpeted, she had no problem sitting there.
She was determined to crack the secret behind what her master had tasked her with. Even though he said that they were ordinary stones, she was still unwilling to believe it.
Even the hide and seek game her master started was something more than that or so she believed. She was going to solve all the riddles and do what she was told to before her master arrived back.
With that mentality, Le Fang ling was determined to do something about the stone slabs. She took both of them in her hand and….
A few minutes later…
She was still trying to see what she could do about the stone to make them disappear completely from this dimension.
After picking up Nagina, she went back to getting her head around it.
Seeing that the time was running out and she was still not done with anything, she felt a bit depressed about this whole situation. She knew it was supposed to help her train her control over qi and its manipulation, but she had no idea as to how this game of hide and seek was going to help her attention whatever that was.
"Hmm, make sure it's presence is unknown huh?" Le Fang ling mumbled as she continued rubbing the stones.
That was when she suddenly got an idea.
"He wants me to make sure it's not in this dimension huh?" she chuckled with a bit of mad glint in her eyes.. Her laughter was sinister to the point Nagina felt shiver travel down her spine.
