The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

Chapter 116: [Who is Adam Wesker?]

[Nora's POV!]

This world is tragic.

From the start, till the end it had everything. Whether it was the abundance of mana, the flourishing nature, the rarity of species, or the power to sustain itself through eternities, it had everything one can ask for.

'If cultivated properly, given its time and history and location in the universe, it should have been able to become an A-Grade world that could live for eons or more. These people could have easily produced multiple S-Grade or even SS- Grade entities every generation or so,' I sighed at the tragic end of the world that I was witnessing.

All because of the greed of the people that were residing in this world. Truly pitiful… truly pathetic. Do they not know that one shouldn't poison the very mouth that feeds them?

My eyes then observed the current scene in front of me.

Bodies in golden armor were scattered all around and the players were trying to find out the cards that were being created out of the essence of those bodies. Some were happy, some were disappointed. None were sad.

It could be possible that many of the fallen had families. Perhaps people were waiting for them to return back home, yet here they were treated as objects. Nothing more nothing less.

The protectors of this world, huh? Sounds laughable really.

My eyes then looked at the second race of this world. The vampires. Standing in the sun, weak as their bodies shivered. Their eyes sunken hollow as they wondered if their turn would come soon?

But then again… all hope was not lost.

Their Gods appeared in front of them. A beacon of light in the darkness, they moved towards that light as if it was going to disappear if they were even a second late.

The wind brushed against my face as my hairs were untidy now. Some of the hairs scattered over my face, blocking my vision, so I slowly moved them before placing it behind me back.

As per Crowley's instructions, the Two Gods began speaking to the natives of their worlds. Whatever was left of them.

They first explained what the holy humans have done to the world, and how the destruction of the world was on its way. They showed genuine anger, their faces a bit hollow, they felt an extinguished rage inside them. But even if they were to shout at their subjects, what good would come out of it?

"The scenario of the Tutorial, huh? It would be the first time a player was controlling how the tutorial should proceed," I spoke as I looked at the guy, Crowley, who was observing everything with a keen look on his face.

This also reminded me of the other scenario. The scenario of the first floor that was hidden deep within the first floor. An uncleared scenario that nobody ever touched before. And as I thought more about it, I realized that it wasn't just the people here that were pitiful… perhaps the entire tower was in a way.

My eyes observed Rosa and Balthazar at a distance, talking with each other about the scenario. As usual, they have forgotten about me. I know I am used to it, but still the hollow feeling remains in my heart, making me wonder if I should just close myself to everyone in this world. But then again… things were different yet again.

That guy, Crowley, the one who was somehow exempted from the rules of the system, moved towards me. His hair fluttered against the winds as well, while his blue eyes behind that crow mask of his, observed me with a deep look in them.

Wearing a black coat over his casual white shirt and black pant, he kept walking with his hands in his jacket. That single katana on his back gave off a loner vibe despite having such a good willed personality of his.

The wind once again blew a bit stronger, as my hairs were once again scatter all over my face. Taking out a rubber band, I put it in between my teeth, before collecting my scattered hair and holding it together. Then using the rubber, I tied my hair, before I focused on Crowley who had finally reached near me.

"Seems like eveything is going as you wished for," I spoke, as I finished tying up my hair. Keeping my hands behind my back as I slowly interlocked them, I then began walking towards the God and Goddess that were explaining everything to the natives of this world.

"Hey Nora. Can I ask you something?" He spoke as he observed me with a curious expression. I was taken aback for a while, but then again, it was normal for him to be curious about things as well. Despite seeming knowledgeable, he was someone who had barely entered the Tower. It won't be odd for him to have some curiosity towards one thing or another.

Tilting my head slightly, I looked at him. As we walked, I observed his face with a lot of curiosity, wondering what kind of question he would have. From the face he was making, he seemed to be deeply troubled for some reason.

"Sure. Ask away," I said, while he nodded at me before he posed his first question.

"Who is Adam Wesker?"

"…"

I halted my steps as I looked at him. Was it related to Adam's visit to the castle before? Or more importantly, why is he asking about Adam? Given how Adam was behaving before, shouldn't they already know each other? Or was there something that I was missing here?

Observing my expression, and the sudden shock on my face, he smiled. As if he reached a conclusion on his own, I saw relief appearing on his face. He then continued,

"You seem to know about him. That's really a breather, you know? Actually… I have been doing a couple of things in the past few days. Especially since I entered the tower. I feel like I am going to find my answer if I get to know more about Adam Wesker."

"I can answer. Actually, as someone who has been here from day one, I know a bit about that guy. Though… I wonder if it will be of any use to you?" I spoke my mind. I only know mundane things like what he did on a normal day, and how he always knew what was going on despite never participating in anything.

"Really? I would be really thankful to you if you help me out here Nora," Crowely spoke as he looked at me with a joyful gaze, while I shook my head as I corrected him,

"No. It's me who is thankful for all the things you are doing for me. Telling you about things that I know is the least I can do to help you in return."

I smiled back before I continued,

"Why do you want to know about that basta- I mean Adam?" I asked. That guy wasn't someone one should get along with. Even though I can't tell, it's a feeling that if he gets to know you, you will always be winded up with on his finger. Though, I think as long as Crowley has that special entity watching over him, he shouldn't have any problem with Adam.

"…" He looked at me for a few seconds before he shook his head and asked,

"Hmmm… can you tell me what kind of person was he? Also how strong was he?"

"That's… a tricky question really," I answered before continuing to speak," he was a guy who seemed pathetically weak, but had never lost a single battle. Everything he did was calculated through and a thoughroug. You can even call him a perfectionist of sorts."

"What do you mean by he was weak but never lost a battle?"

"Hmmm. It's like he somehow could see everything that was going to happen far before it even takes place. I even believe that he has foresight or something. Anyways, all his battles were won before they even took place, either by someone's interference, or by some other means. The only times he used his full power on the first floor was when he faught against the S-Grade Monsters… but even then, he only used the bare minimum to defeat that monster."

"Is that so? Hmmm… seems like the extent of his powers is going to be a mystery," Crowley spoke, while I nodded. I feel the same.

"What about his personality?"

"Shitty," I spoke as I recalled all the way he does things. My husband would always laugh with him, while most guys would always rely on his for big or small thing. Though somehow, he always knew how to tick me off even at the smallest thing. Though the worst thing was that even I feel indebted to him given how many times he had saved the people I cared about back then.

"He was so perfect that I couldn't help but feel like something was wrong with him. No matter what he did, even if it were to kill someone, it would lead to a series of events where he would come out as a hero or something. Many times I felt like he was the one who created the entire situation, but my husband spoke otherwise… in a way, I sometimes felt like my husband was closer to him than he was to me," I shot daggers in the air. Even now, when I met him last time, I felt irritated.

"But… since the end result was always the same, all I can say that he a was the beloved scumbag of the tower," I gave out a loud sigh as I gave my honest thought to Crowley.

He observed me for a few seconds before smiling as he answered," seems like you were really fond of him as well."

"Fuck you! I would rather kill that guy 100 times over! That homewrecker! That fucking bastard!" I shouted at Crowley as my eyes glared at him. How did he even reach that conclusion?

"Do you happen to know any person named Noah?" He then asked suddenly, making me look at him for a few seconds. I then tried recalling if I knew anyone like that…

"I know a few Noah's… but don't know if you are talking about the same guy," I answered him. Noah was a common name in the Tower. Every turn there are always a couple of Noah's coming out of the tutorial.

"Is that so? Thanks, Nora. Hmmm. Is there anything else you can tell about Adam?" He asked me again, and I pondered about a few things before asking Crowley,

"I can tell you one more thing but before that tell me one thing Crowley. Have you ever heard the term, Fate Weavers?"
