The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 125: Beatdown

Chapter 125: Beatdown

“Now follow me!”Wang Hao started to run, heading towards the edge of the Solstice Kingdom. Ling Tian, Tang Ya, Celestia and Sebastian followed him.

Because of the change in events, the nameless assassin decided to not join in the rescue anymore, being replaced by Mimi who promised her help earlier.

The nameless assassin, Fred, Galena and Eleanor separated from Wang Hao at that point and they went back to the camp to help in organizing the rebels against the Underworld Soldiers.

Eleanor persuaded the remaining generals to participate in Wang Hao’s plan against the portal. She seemed to be successful at they all agreed.

The nameless assassin though, had something to say.

“If his plan fails, I will personally kill the dragon.....”

Eleanor gulped as she wished that Wang Hao and Ling Tian will not f**k things up later.

With the arrival of the Underworld Soldiers, Wang Hao knew that his plan on using the dragonspawn to overwhelm the enemy will not work anymore. He smiled as he thought of a better way to defeat them.

Because of Wang Hao’s bloodline, he had no ability to cultivate. This meant his power was not related at all to cultivation.

Because of this, Wang Hao’s abilities were not suppressed by the ‘Underworld Suppressing Formation’. That formation was focused on restricting the Practitioner Stage. Because Wang Hao did not step on any Stages, his power was not affected at all.

This means that nobody in the Solstice Kingdom can beat him! Any attacks that anyone can use at the First Stage are either physical or energy-based. This means Wang Hao will not be affected at all. Not only that, but the energy he had can exert the power of a Second Stage Practitioner!

With just a wave of his hand and a flick of his stick, any opponents of his will just be bricked.

But Wang Hao realized that right now, he could not show off his strength. If he showed to others that he can ignore the restrictions of the ‘Underworld Suppressing Formation, they will be bound to be suspicious.

He cannot afford to let anyone else know about his bloodline.

Wang Hao then looked at Ling Tian who was with them. He could not help but be suspicious of what he said earlier. Wang Hao wanted to ask more, but when he sensed Ling Tian’s suppressed killing intent, he decided to back off.

It seemed like Ling Tian was also keeping a very important secret. As for what it was, Wang Hao lost his interest in it for now.

Along the way, they saw a winged beast that was left abandoned on its stable. It seemed like the ensuing chaos made the master abandon this beast.

Upon seeing this winged beast, Wang Hao decisively freed the beast and rode it. But instead of throwing Wang Hao off, the beast just stayed still like a behaved kitten.

If it were a normal person, this beast will not just throw them off, it will also try to kill them. But Wang Hao’s Godly Divine Beast Bloodline can easily force this winged beast into submission.

Upon seeing that the beast had been docile, Tang Ya, Ling Tian and the three generals climbed on the beast’s back too. The beast then flapped its massive wings as it hurtled across the sky.

With the speed of the flying beast, it only took them around 5 minutes to get near Fang Yu’s captive place. Once they were near, Wang Hao motioned for the beast to descend.

Once their feet were all at the ground, Wang Hao told them their way of attack.

Wang Hao and Ling Tian will be at the lead. Wang Hao with his special ‘artifact’ will be the one absorbing the attacks. Ling Tian will then be using ten swords to assault his enemies.

(At the First Stage, Ling Tian can use the maximum of 100 swords. 10% of that is 10, which Ling Tian was currently using now.)

Tang Ya and Celestia will be at the middle, squeezed between Ling Tian and Wang Hao. Both of them wield weapons that can deal damage on a large area. With Wang Hao protecting them, Tang Ya and Celestia can easily wield their weapons alongside with Ling Tian.

As for Mimi and Sebastian, they were at the rear. Mimi’s archery was useful in long-range combats. Putting her in the back gives her more space to attack farther enemies.

As for Sebastian, Wang Hao discovered that he uses very fine but sturdy qi thread. Such thread will be very useful as a crowd control and a powerful offensive tool.

Wang Hao even heard a rumor that Sebastian amputated a spoiled young master who attempted to molest Mimi. They said that Sebastian cut off one of his limbs every single day. When his arms and legs were gone, Sebastian happily returned the young master to his family.

Imagine their shock and their dismay when they discovered that the young master only had a torso and head left.

This built up Sebastian’s notoriety in the Raiders.

But Wang Hao did not think much about it, because with his interactions with Sebastian, he discovered that Sebastian has an acceptable character. That amputation was mostly likely just some false rumors spread by his enemies.

Sebastian’s super fine and sharp qi threads will be helpful on initiating surprise attacks on their opponents.

Once they were clear with their roles, they started running towards the spirit ship with their weapons drawn.

Once they were near enough, they saw 55 people milling around the spirit ship. Once they saw the arrival of Wang Hao and co. they immediately attacked them without any restraint!

“Naïve!”

Wang Hao knew that if you fight against an even-powered opponent, the best option was to form groups and to attack as that group.

It was obvious that these guards were used to individual fights since they have no teamwork visible.

Wang Hao knew that they had no teamwork because their strengths were originally at the Third and Fourth Stage. At those Stages, teamwork was really not that necessary.

But for those at the First Stage, teamwork was actually vital!

It seems like the guards had no time to change their mental state before Wang Hao’s team arrived.

This negligence led to their annihilation.

Compared to the chaotic mess of the defenders, Wang Hao’s attack unit seemed to be a diamond in the rough.

“Earth-Splitting Slash!”

Tang Ya waved her broadsword ferociously at 3 of the guards. Wang Hao winced as he heard the sounds of their bones breaking.

Celestia’s attacks on the other hand, seemed to be focused on the ‘cutting’ part.

“Nothing exists.... that my blade shall not cut...”

Celestia’s bladesword was frightening in a different way. She casually hacked at the guards, making them lose their limbs in the process. Wang Hao could only watch as dismembered limbs flew through the air, falling through the ground with a thud.

It was as if no defenses can actually block her attacks.

It was then that Wang Hao realized that these guards were not those level skipping geniuses, but just some ordinary practitioners.

That meant that they can only fight those against their same realm.

That’s reasonable, since absolute geniuses were rare and raising them was expensive.

This proved to be their undoing, since everyone who joined with Wang Hao were all level-skipping geniuses.

If there was no ‘Underworld Suppressing Formation’, Wang Hao and co. have to resort to many schemes just to rescue Fang Yu.

But with all of them at the First Stage, only those with cooperation and absolute talent will emerge victorious.

Wang Hao’s group was clearly the one in the lead.

“Hahahaha! Look at you all getting your asses kicked!”
