Chapter 185: Conclusion
Chapter 185: Conclusion
Was it his daggers? No.
Saito knew that Seth wasn't using any weapons yet he was able to bisect his arm away at such a speed that didn't even come to the spectrum of his vision.
"Huhuhu...fantastic. It was feeling a little one-sided until now."
*SQUELCH*
As Saito laughed hysterically, the arm which Seth severed just now, regrow and the hand in Seth's possession, turned into ashes before blowing with the wind.
The expression on not only Maydeath and Anabelle but also on Arata's face expressed how profoundly flabbergasted they were upon witnessing such a potent regenerative skill.
"H-How is that..." Maydeath could only gasp in astonishment upon realizing how strong of a foe Saito had emerged as.
"Artifact?" Anabelle couldn't help but ask herself whether this mind-wobbling skill came from some ancient artifact, they were unaware about.
However, Arata had different thoughts, which he decided to first affirm before declaring anything.
Meanwhile, Seth stared at the ashes in his hand with his brows raised without much of a fret seemingly visible on his visage.
Turning to face his dear friend, Seth couldn't help smiling a bit.
"It's nice that you can regenerate. That makes things more so, interesting."
Saito held his smirk at that but didn't let his guard down. After that last blow, Saito realized that he underestimated Seth by a wide margin.
"Now, now. Don't let the heat get down. Come at me with your all." Inviting his friend, Seth stood at his place, completely unbothered by the fact that he was hit pretty hard twice just some moments ago.
Saito had enough of this yapping. He anticipated this to be an easy win. He desired Seth's head under his feet moments after the battle began...and now, Saito was getting frustrated.
Brandishing his spear, the violet head emitted a snarl in the direction of his adversary. With swift determination, he launched himself from his position, imprinting the ground with a residual cobweb-like pattern as evidence of his departure.
*Crack* *Sfoooo*
His pace accelerated, undeterred. His unwavering focus fixated on Seth, particularly the exposed part of his chest, the intended destination of his spear.
However, his pace was interrupted as a part of the ground was raised in the shape of a pillar. However, Saito was agile enough to twirl on his feet and avoid crashing into the pillar.
'Puny trick-...' Just half a second was the span when Saito didn't have his eyes on his target, and Seth was gone, which made the boy widen his eyes immediately.
Looking around him, Saito didn't find anyone...until he remembered that his opponent had the ability to levitate...
"Khak!!" In a belated realization, just as Saito contemplated leaping from his position, an impactful force collided with the crown of his head making the younger-looking male drop flat on the ground.
Seth wasn't done with that, as he immediately landed on his feet and stood on Saito's back. Crouching down, Seth pulled both of his opponent's arms and began stretching them in opposite directions, with all his force.
*KRIK*
The sound of bone snapping resonated viciously followed by a loud scream,
"AGHHHHHH!!! LEAVE MEEE!!"
*BOOOOOOM*
Once more, resorting to self-explosion proved advantageous for Saito, as Seth was forcefully propelled away by the formidable impact of the detonation.
This time Saito didn't wait for his arms to get healed nor was he in mind to verbally abuse his opponent. He wanted to see Seth's blood!
He wanted to see him tremble in agony!
Seth barely blocked the kick from smacking his face by crossing his arms and blocking Saito's unexpected assault, in mid-air.
Because of the force, Seth was further pushed back but he didn't waste another second in assessing his situation before tilting his head to the left and dodging another kick.
*SHOOO*
The ferocious kick narrowly missed his face by a mere fraction, leaving a graze on Seth's cheek. However, Seth didn't passively await another attack. Swiftly, he elevated his fist, directing a punch toward Saito's exposed torso.
"Too slow!" Instantly, Saito withdrew his leg, seizing Seth's arm and contorting it behind his knee in an unconventional manner. A vivid resonance of bone cracking echoed as the twist took its toll.
"Guh!" For the first time, Seth groaned in pain as he felt his elbow joint completely broken and his right arm, no longer useful.
"Haha...I like that sound!" Locking in the position, Saito laughed like a madman, watching Seth grunt in agony. Yes, this was what he desired to see!
"Is that so...then how about this?!" Seth used his other hand to take hold of Saito's neck within the grip of his thumb and first two fingers. His wind pipe was in complete confinement as Seth tightly held the boy in place.
"Khuugh...l-let g-*Cough*..." Saito's eyes turned red as he tried moving his arms to get himself free of the hold but to no avail.
Seth's grip began to build some blood out of Saito's throat as he used a good amount of strength to not kill the guy but to make him unconscious. The killing was not the required job here, so Seth didn't waste his time on that.
Saito's mind was muddled and the pain was overwhelming him. Lost on choice he could only go with his most effective tactics.
*BOOOOOM*
Another explosion occurred, making the ground tremble and cover the two figures inside the dome of smoke.
However, what was different this time, was that no one flew out of the smoke, and when the obstruction cleared out, only one person was standing on his feet.
It was Seth.
"Haah." Maydeath didn't know, for how long she was holding her breath, which escaped just now, when she saw her beloved standing strong on his feet, and the other one seemed to have fallen unconscious.
Anabelle barely saw Seth's image through her blurry vision. Her eyes were clouded by tears but she could not be wrong about the identity of this single man.
Seth has....won!
*****
A/N:- Didn't make the fight long since killing wasn't an option and at his current level, it was nearly impossible for Seth to get defeated.
