Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1480: Down The Drain

Chapter 1480: Down The Drain

“Do we take the initiative to gain the upper hand?” Ying Lianquan asked.

Shang Xia simply shook his head in response. “It’s useless. Now that we are no longer in the chaotic streams, 2 of the beasts have already left. How big can an Azure World be? If their target really is the Azure Savage World, all of us will meet again.”

Ying Lianxi sighed, “Those spiritual beasts aren’t as simple to deal with as they seem. They can even work together and they clearly have high intelligence.”

Shang Xia replied, “A rank three spiritual beast already developed some intelligence and can avoid danger. A rank four spiritual beast already has somewhat high intelligence. A rank five spiritual beast might not understand human speech, but they can communicate through some special methods. Their intelligence is no lower than a normal person. That would mean that a rank six spiritual beast...”

“... Actually, this is the first time I am seeing it for myself.” Shang Xia shook his head and completed his sentence.

The Ying Brothers exchanged a glance before Ying Lianxi spoke, “We can’t compare ourselves to you, Brother Shang. We have never seen high-level spiritual beasts...”

Ying Lianquan continued, “Actually, we saw a few of them, but they were corpses...”

Naturally, there was no lack of deals involving spiritual beasts in the Chaotic Sea of Stars, but most of them had already been broken down into spiritual material.

Shang Xia raised his eyebrows slightly. “Didn’t you guys already observe the Azure Savage World? Didn’t you say that it’s a barren land where spiritual beasts lord over?”

Ying Lianxi forced a chuckle and explained, “We found the Azure Savage World and observed it, but we didn’t enter to take a proper look.”

“Oh.” Shang Xia’s eyes widened slightly. “I forgot Azure Worlds can’t withstand the presence of high-level True Immortals...” n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Ying Lianquan also chuckled bitterly in response, “Well, that’s not really it. Even if we can’t enter personally, we could have sent a clone. The real reason we didn’t go over might be a little embarrassing... We were actually forced out before we could approach and we even sustained heavy injuries because of it. Because we came out without informing anyone, we were afraid something might happen to the Twin Star Pirates if we were away for too long. We decided to return and stopped the investigation of the Azure Savage World right there.”

Shang Xia asked in confusion, “With your combined strength, even a sixth tier True Immortal might have to be cautious when facing you guys... How can you be injured by existences in the Azure World?”

Shang Xia had intentions to show his goodwill by praising them both for their strength, but they glanced at each other before hesitating to respond. They looked as though it was hard for them to describe what had happened.

Shang Xia didn’t continue to ask. Instead, he started to talk about something else. “If we try to enter the Azure Savage World again, will there be any danger of being under attack?”

“Of course not.” The Ying Brothers shook their heads in unison.

Nodding, Shang Xia wanted to say something but he suddenly turned to look up in the direction they had been traveling earlier.

Seeing his actions, the Ying Brothers also raised their guards. They saw a tiny spot of light on the horizon.

“This...” Ying Lianquan barely said something when the light grew larger to the point of a tiny moon.

It continued to grow larger and all of them realized it was something flying rapidly in their direction.

“Stop it please.” Shang Xia barely spoke when the ball of light reached the size of a mini sun, threatening to swallow the Star Ship and Spirit Ar.

The Ying Brothers didn’t think why Shang Xia wouldn’t stop it for them and they took action. Their domains superimposed on each other and the strength multiplied to reach a whole new level. Even Shang Xia could feel that they had the ability to threaten him if they could work together.

Their special art was extraordinary indeed.

It might not be Shang Xia’s first time seeing them in action, but the more he observed, the more he learned about their strength.

In an instant, their domains reached a level comparable to the blazing ball of light coming their way.

As intense heat waves swept across the ships, they were stopped by the Ying Brothers and the protection barriers. However, other waves soon arrived.

As both sides continued to eat away at each other’s energy, they slowly disappeared bit by bit. The blazing ball of light that was the size of an Earth Star when it appeared was worn to nothingness.

The exchange caused the void before the ships to shatter and the region they were in became no different from when they were passing through the chaotic streams earlier.

The Spirit Ark and Star Ship might not be afraid of the violent streams, but it happened in such a way that the Spirit Ark started to drift away from the Star Ship.

The moment it happened, Shang Xia made his move. The Stone Rod appeared in his hand and he slammed it down in front of him,

He was standing in the void, but no one knew why when his Stone Rod came crashing down, a loud blast was produced.

Fourth move of the Six Harmony Rod Technique, Void Seal!

The chaotic space froze all of a sudden and it was as though time had turned back as the shattered space started to repair itself. It was an ability his original Void Seal didn’t possess!

There was no doubt about it. Along with his increase in cultivation realm and comprehension of his abilities, his Six Harmony Rod Technique also improved rapidly. Not only was he able to unleash a greater might, but the uses of his technique also became a lot more versatile. It could be said that he even started fusing his techniques with what he learned in the past.

Void Seal was a great example. The ability to restore the void came from his martial blade intent in the Four Constellation Realm.

He didn’t just stabilize the region of space, he even caused the shattered space between the ships to restore itself, spoiling the plans of the expert who unleashed the attack to split them apart.
