Chapter 30: Massacre
Chapter 30: Massacre
When Sakim killed the seventeenth rat, he finally managed to level up. But unfortunately for him, he had no more time to celebrate as those rats were trying to swarm him to death.
But if these rats were trying to kill him with just this, then they must be out of their mind. Sakim could only mock them in his heart as even though they tried so hard to kill him, the amount of his HP was just too great for them to take with ease.
Although his HP was dropping astonishingly, every time he used [Healing Leaves], his HP would immediately shot up.
And right now, after one or two minutes, Sakim had already used up 10 [Healing Leaves]. It went without saying, those rats had already dealt more than 10,000 amount of damage to him.
And this made Sakim a little worried. If this went on, he was afraid that he would use all of his healing items, including those he had stolen from the monsters, just by dealing with these rats alone. And if in the future, he encountered similar trouble, what other healing items could he still use?
With that in mind, Sakim couldn't stand anymore waiting for his HP to drop. So with a voice that could cause a chill, Sakim opened his mouth and spoken, "Steal."
Squeak!
Although war cries were already echoing across the chamber, the cries of agony coming from several rats still dominated the surroundings. Those who had physical contact with Sakim had immediately suffered when Sakim intended to steal their life. These rats couldn't run away as well since their brothers were on top of them, and were pushing them, furiously wanting to bite Sakim before anyone of them could kill him.
But when the rats that didn't have a chance to touch the body of Sakim heard the cries of their brothers, they were immediately taken aback before they finally felt a chill. They could feel that some of their brothers had finally turned into ashes as the pile of rats was becoming a pile of ashes.
They hurriedly backed away as they could feel the danger that could threaten their life. That being said, the human that they were wanting so hard to kill was finally being revealed. The grin on his face was first to be noticed as he let out a word, "What's wrong?"
Those Cave Rats that backed away and those rats from a distance that was surrounding and watching the human being eaten by their brothers were frightened when they saw Sakim alive and kicking. Not only that, it appeared as well that as if he didn't receive any damage at all. Just what was going on now?
Screech!
The Cave Rats screeched furiously but none of them dared to step forward. They were afraid that the moment they did so, it might be their last step in this world.
Just what kind of monster were they really facing this time? Were they really doomed to die today?
The Cave Rats trembled in fear then again. But knowing as well that many of their kind had already sacrificed themselves just to take down this human, their fear turned into hatred. Their hatred against him had immediately risen as their killing intent was unleashed from each and every one of them intending to attack Sakim once again.
But before any of them could even make a single step, they suddenly saw the other party rushing in one direction. With a short distance of about five meters, it didn't take long for Sakim to reach his target.
That being said, Sakim had finally made physical contact with one of the Cave Rats. This rat was shivering and was too afraid to move as well so Sakim could close his distance from this rat with ease. Thus, after he touched that rat, it then let out its final cry before turning into ashes.
Those rats beside it found their bodies shaking in fear again. With just a single touch, their brother was immediately killed just like that?
They thought at first that it was some kind of active skill that could immediately kill his target upon contact. And since it was dangerous, they even thought that it would definitely cause him a huge price when using such skill. But now that they saw it being used by the other party from time to time, doubt was now sprouting in their heart if this was still a taxing skill.
But no matter what was the case, they only had one thought floating on their mind. And that was, this active skill was frightening beyond words!
Little did they know that Sakim wasn't using any kind of active skill at all. He was just relying on the passive skill he had. Seeing the frightened reaction of the monster around, Sakim let out a little smile as he took the opportunity to steal their life. He then closed his distance towards one of the rats as he touched it accompanied by his blazing gaze.
That rat didn't even have the time to cry as it only found its remains being swept in the surroundings. And that caused another fear to those rats around.
"Hmmm, pretty easy," Sakim murmured to himself. He was now taking a peek at his Stolen Inventory as he could see that his [Cave Rat HP] had increased in numbers. He had a total of 97 of this item now. Sakim nodded in satisfaction as it appeared that he had already killed 49 Cave Rats from the start of their battle.
But then, if there was a satisfying outcome, there was also that wasn't. Even after killing those many Cave Rats, Sakim still hadn't found any item at all. Just how low was the drop rate of items of these monsters really was? Just thinking about it could only turn his smile into a frown.
But knowing that the fight was still ongoing, he immediately dismissed the System and focused his attention on his surroundings instead. He'd only taken a look at the System for a few seconds to see his kills count.
As for now, although he was surrounded by many Cave Rats, his HP was still in a full bar. And with these frightened rats that were low in spirit as his opponents, Sakim felt that he didn't need to use many [Healing Leaves] anymore. It had to be known that in this battle, he'd already used up half of them. If he used the other half because of these rats, then it would really be a big pity.
Nonetheless, even if he lost all of his [Healing Leaves], there was still the HP he'd stolen from the Cave Rats. Although it could only heal him 100 HP, with the quantity of them, Sakim felt that it would be more than enough to finish off all these rats.
So with a cold glint flashing in his eyes, Sakim started his massacre again. He wanted to take the opportunity while the rats were still filled with fright. He was afraid that the moment they regained their countenance, the battle would be more annoying as those dirty rats might cover his body again.
Shrieks of agonies then soon followed after he made move. At that moment, Sakim didn't make a pause in his massacre as he hurriedly moved on to his next target after killing one of them.
