Rise of the Great Emperor

Chapter 50: Provocation

Chapter 50: Provocation

Swift!

The movement was small, yet Lin Yun was looking at his brother in disbelief. In just a short period of time, his brother had finally managed to learn Moon Evasion. Did his brother always have good comprehension?

’I did it!’

Internally, Lin Xiao was rejoicing. After staring at that third disciple for hours until his eyes were hurt, he could finally do the move. While it was still imperfect, all he needed to do was to continue practicing over and over.

There was no need for him to stay here any longer.

"Let’s return back, Yun."

Lin Yun nearly beamed but he restrained his smile. They couldn’t let others found out that Lin Xiao had somehow managed to learn Moon Evasion so quickly. "Yes, Brother."

On top of the stage, the third disciple was looking at Lin Xiao with narrowed gaze. He had the feeling that there was something strange about Lin Xiao and Lin Yun, but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

In the end, he snorted and chose to recover his Qi and energy. These country bumpkins would never be able to learn just from seeing.

From looking at their gazes alone, the third disciple knew that they would never be able to learn.

"Do you want to buy some rice from Shopkeeper Wang first, Brother?" Lin Yun asked. "We almost run out of rice."

"Ah, I nearly forgot." Lin Xiao nodded. It would be better for them to buy some rice so that they would have something to eat for the next few days. He was pretty sure that his brother and Wenren Yu wouldn’t allow him to go hunting after suffering from those heavy wounds not long ago.

Bang!

Just as they passed the stage, Lin Xiao heard loud sound. Turning his head, he could see Xu Qin along with Bai Xin and another boy. The boy was slammed to the ground by Xu Qin with seamless movement.

Snake Counterattack!

Looking at the two girls who were studying, Lin Xiao felt his mind turned blank for a moment. So the reason why Bai Xin didn’t want to teach it was because she wanted to tutor Xu Qin personally?

That’s unfair!

"Brother?" Lin Yun was also surprised.

The two girls noticed their presence. Xu Qin pursed her beautiful lips and showed a provocative smile. "Oh, so it’s the Lin sibling. Are you here to study the martial arts too?"

"Yes." Lin Xiao didn’t feel the need to lie. His eyes were looking at the boy who was trying to get up. If he said that he didn’t feel envy at Xu Qin for being able to learn Snake Counterattack, he would be lying.

Xu Qin followed his gaze and grinned. "Sister Bai is very kind. She’s willing to teach me Snake Counterattack."

"I see."

The placid answer from Lin Xiao was not what Xu Qin expected. She furrowed her brows but couldn’t see the expression she wanted to see from this annoying troublemaker. Turning her head to look at Bai Xin, she smiled.

"Thank you very much, Sister Bai."

"This is nothing much." Bai Xin waved her hand and looked at Lin Xiao. Based on the direction they were coming from, she could guess that they were trying to learn Moon Evasion from the third disciple.

"Are you trying to learn Moon Evasion?"

Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows. He looked at Bai Xin with pursed lips. Somehow, he didn’t have good opinion of this young woman who kept on putting him in difficult position through her words.

"Yes."

"Don’t bother. Hong is not really trying to teach you all. He’s just playing around," Bai Xin gave her advice.

Well, it was very obvious from the way the third disciple, Hong, acted. The young boy didn’t seem to have any interest whatsoever in teaching them how to use Moon Evasion. Many villagers had already long given up on trying to learn the move.

"Thank you for your advice," Lin Xiao said with indifferent tone.

Bai Xin snorted when she heard Lin Xiao’s tone. Just like what Xu Qin said, this young boy was truly insolent. Her view regarding Lin Xiao had just dropped a few degrees with the impolite tone that Lin Xiao used to answer her.

"I’m going now. Let’s go, Yun."

"Yes, Brother."

Xu Qin watched the Lin siblings left and then turned her head to look at Bai Xin. Her mood that was previously good because she managed to perform the basic movement had disappeared. Seeing Lin Xiao always brought bad mood to her.

"Sister Bai, shall we continue?"

"Sure." Bai Xin positioned herself once more. "Before that, do you not like that young man?"

Bai Xin didn’t really have any interest to remember the name of the villagers here. She chose to only used the term young man or that person to refer to anyone in this villager. Xu Qin was the only person whom she remembered in this time.

Hearing that, Xu Qin was taken aback. She pursed her lips. "Lin Xiao is a troublemaker while Lin Yun is a sickly boy. The Lin siblings are not good."

"I see."

From the way they behaved, Bai Xin concluded that the two young men were disliked in this village. It seemed that their attitude was also problematic.

At this point, Bai Xin had chosen to completely ignore the fact that Lin Yun was already at Body Training rank 5 while Lin Xiao was already Body Training rank 6. If she had thought about that, she might have quite a bit different impression since it meant the two were actually quite talented too.
