Chapter 49: Learning Moon Evasion
Chapter 49: Learning Moon Evasion
The third disciple suddenly moved.
Lin Xiao focused his entire attention to the third disciple, hoping to be able to see everything. His legs moved at rapid speed and covered a great amount of distance after a slightly weird stance.
"Ah, it’s too fast!"
"I can’t see anything."
"Ughh, this is so frustrating."
While the villagers were howling in frustration, the third disciple didn’t seem to care in the slightest bit. He swept his gaze on the people below him then landed on Lin Xiao. Different with other villagers who were screaming, Lin Xiao was closing his eyes, trying to repeat the movement over and over in his head.
While it might not be the most effective way, it was the only possibility for him to learn. The third disciple was not patient enough to teach them step by step, so they have to figure things out by themselves.
What they needed was perception.
Perception referred to their ability to perceive something. Usually, it was something related to martial arts and skills. The higher their perception was, the easier it would be for them to learn about many things.
Slowly, Lin Xiao opened his eyes. "Lin Yun, did he execute the skill again?"
"Not yet, Brother."
"Did you manage to grasp it?"
Lin Yun furrowed his brows. Despite having a bit higher intelligence in terms of herbs, Lin Yun was mostly average in others. When seeing the third disciple executed the movement, he could barely see anything.
"Not yet."
"Alright. Pay attention."
"Yes."
The learning session had turned into a waiting game as everyone had to bid their time and waited until the third disciple was ready to execute the Moon Evasion. There was no word or sign that they could use to tell when the third disciple started to execute the movement.
They had to stay focus all the time.
"Did he move?"
"No, not yet."
Such whispers were not uncommon. Many villagers were trying hard to keep their eyes open. If only it was possible for them to not close their eyes at all, they would have done so just to make sure they would not miss the third disciple’s movement.
After all, it only took split second for him to move.
Swish!
At that moment, the third disciple suddenly moved. Many villagers had a blank expression and talked to each other in frustration. They didn’t see anything but the third disciple had already moved.
"It’s enough, I won’t learn this skill."
"Yeah. It’s a waste of time."
Many of them moved to the other place where a lot of people were gathering around to learn Tiger Punch. Rather than waiting for the third disciple to execute the movement again, they would rather head to the other one and learned the skill.
At the very least, they would have learnt something by watching Luo Lan there.
The third disciple snorted and continued to recover his state and Qi. He looked below where more than half had already left. It was the same as yesterday as many people chose to give up.
With a teacher who didn’t cooperate with them, they wouldn’t be able to learn anything.
Before long, the third disciple moved again.
Swish!
Lin Xiao watched the movement’s intently and felt that not only the stance, even the aura around the third disciple changed for a split second. The change was barely visible, but he knew that it had occurred.
’Hand over here, legs over here, then the flow of Qi...’
Silently, Lin Xiao repeated the movements of the third disciple while his hand and legs moved in accordance to what he had seen. As he thought of trying to execute the skill, his body moved.
Only two inches, but it was a movement nevertheless.
"Brother?" Lin Yun, who was beside Lin Xiao clearly felt the sudden movements. While other villagers didn’t even pay attention to them, he knew that Lin Xiao was a bit further from where he was not long ago.
Lin Xiao smiled. "I think I might be able to learn this soon."
"Brother, you’re amazing."
"Of course!"
This time, Lin Yun didn’t even roll his eyes as he watched his brother. Rather than focusing his gaze on the third disciple and gained nothing, it would be better for him to learn from his brother, who had been learning how to do the movement.
’It’s too short, so should I try changing the angle a bit?’
Lin Xiao focused his attention again. He felt that the mental stress this skill required was really big. It was so hard to execute the movements even once before feeling that his head was about to burst from the pressure.
It seemed that the reason why the third disciple didn’t use this skill that much was because of the stress.
’There should be a way to remove the pressure, no?’
Furrowing his brows, Lin Xiao hoped that he would be able to have access to some martial arts’ skill book. That way, he would be able to read the explanation and didn’t have to learn blindly like this.
But that would be for later.
Raising his head once more, Lin Xiao looked at the third disciple expectantly. He wished that he would be able to learn much more from watching like this as soon as possible.
