Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

Chapter 68: Snow-Colored and Lilac-Colored (1)

"How come you manage to contact your cousin from your biological mother's side, Sir Eclipse?"

If their companion was just another man, Eclipse wouldn't hesitate to smack the hell out them but although Rheina is an assassin and a Clandestine clan's Leader, at the end of the day, she is still a woman.

He wasn't that much of a heartless to pick up a fight with a mere woman even if he wanted to but sometimes, he needs to restrain himself not hurting the opposite gender.

'But it doesn't mean that I will tolerate their whimpering for whatever reason they come up with. I hate dealing with unreasonable women who thinks themselves are nothing but a damsh*t in distress that needs saving!'

At least Rheina here might sometimes act whining if she happens to get interested with sometime, it wasn't the usual unreasonable whining that those women Eclipse encountered during his world-hopping journey.

'Yeah, right. Like most of the women in the cultivation worldline who used their so-called [jade beauty] to entrap someone within their own schemes and act like a crybaby to have everyone took a pity on them.'

Eclipse had been a victim within those kinds of schemes, and he almost got killed whenever a certain f*cking women tried to act pitiful and for others to fall within their traps.

'I also hate those so-called righteous cultivation protagonists who always comes at the beck of the call of those disgusting women! Tsk! Just thinking about them makes me feel wanted to puke!'

At the same time, he almost thank whoever God was out there and Eclipse haven't been killed in action during his world-hopping journey within the cultivation worldline realms.

'That's why I rarely go to any cultivation worldline realms for my tasks and would always avoid those worldlines who had a genre of [stallion protagonists] and [harems] because I have a feeling that if I didn't control myself then, those worldlines might cease to exist and he doesn't want to get into trouble.'

He sighed as he shook off his head to set aside those useless thoughts and just plainly ignore the woman who keeps on pestering him about Arico's background.

'This woman sure loves to gossip around if she didn't have anything else to do.'

≤ …. 'Well, it's your fault for introducing me as one of your relatives then. Face the consequences, you brat!' ….. ≥

Eclipse snapped from his thoughts when he heard what Arico said to him telepathically and he looked around to looked for that young man and there, Eclipse saw Arico leaning on the tree with his arms crossed around his chest with a smirk plastered on his face.

The world-hopper just looked back at him with a deadpan expression; ≤ …. 'What's with that f*cking smirk on your face?! Do you want to be smacked? Also, you haven't explained yourself about coming in this worldline, you cold-blooded b*stard!' …. ≥

Arico, on the other hand, just sighed and went over to Eclipse's place because he knew if he teased Eclipse furthermore, the Slayer Agent would be the one who would suffer from his wrath.

Although within the Main House, Arico is known as the cold-blooded agent from the Slayers Department because of his bloodthirsty nature and brutal force when it comes to apprehending world-hopper criminals, but within Eclipse's presence, for some unknown reason, Arico would immediately submit to him just like that.

There is one time that Eclipse was pissed off because of Arico's endless teasing and as a result, Arico suffers the consequences that his soul energy almost depleted because of Eclipse's immense pressure that he suddenly released but thanks to Sir Red that manage to calm Eclipse down that time.

That's why Arico was being careful not to anger the said Platinum world-hopper because he doesn't want to experience that for the second time.

'Sometimes, I wonder what kind of power Eclipse had been hiding but for what I observed about him, it seems like he doesn't have any idea about that power he released back then because the moment he regain consciousness, he doesn't remember anything.'

Arico thought as he shook off his head to set aside those thoughts and just went over to where Eclipse was seated. Since the three of them stayed in the forest for the rest of the night then, they built a temporary mattress with the leaves coming from the forest and that serves as their temporary bed.

Rheina noticed Arico's presence, and she moved from the other side to give way for the man to sit beside Eclipse and the woman read the atmosphere as she stood up and spoke.

"I'll go on patrol and look out for those people. Just call me if you guys need anything then."

After she said those words, Rheina didn't wait for their response as she immediately left the place they were staying for the night then.

When both of them couldn't see Rheina's silhouette and only the two of them were left alone, Eclipse looked at Arico with his most deadpan expression written on his face and then Arico didn't beat around the bush as he started to speak first.

"That woman sure knows how to read the room then. She volunteered to be on the patrol watch for the night since she knew that both of us need to have some serious talk then."

Eclipse crossed his arms around his chest, and he snorted; "Are you going to explain yourself right now or you want me to knock some senses to you in order for you to start then."

'Geez! This kid is way more brutal than any of those agents from the Slayers Department. Why is he a world-hopper anyway? He is much more prefect to be one of the Slayer Agents than being a world-hopper.'

Arico thought as he sighed and took a deep breath before looking back at Eclipse with a serious expression.

"Before I start, how's the world progression rate on this worldline first?"

Eclipse raised an eyebrow at him and sighed as well because he might have an idea on why Arico was in this worldline and speak first.

"You know what, you shouldn't have accepted Sir Red's request to keep an eye on me, Arico. I'm pretty much more I can handle myself not to messed up within this worldline since I am no longer part of the story."

Arico, knowing how smart Eclipse was, sighed once more as he shook off his head and spoke.

"Well, you're right about that. If this were just your usual world-hopping journey on doing tasks then, Sir Red wouldn't have any problems if it's you since you're efficient on doing your job pretty well but…"

Eclipse noticed the hesitation coming from Arico's tone and those were the times that the notorious cold-blooded agent from the Slayers Department would hesitate to say something and be cautious about it.

'This guy is truly a worrywart sometimes that it pisses me off, but I just let him be though.'

Well, for one, Eclipse might be an indifferent and wouldn't care about people's feelings as he no longer perceive himself as a human being anymore but sometimes, he wishes that there would be someone out there who would be his family-figure that would worry about his well-being, like how the other humans from the other worldlines would care for each other.

'Although, I appreciate his care and worry for me, but I won't tell that to him.'

Eclipse thought while waiting for the other man to continue what he was about to say and frowns.

Arico, on the other hand, noticed Eclipse's indifferent and impatience looked plastered on his face, and he cleared his throat before he spoke immediately.

"Well, first of all, Sir Red told me that your progression rate seems to be slower than the usual and there were still insufficient energy that he couldn't reconnect with you for the meantime."

He paused for a minute before he continued; "Also, Sir Red told me that if I happened to meet you, and if you have sufficient energy that could reconnect back to the Main House then, reconnect with him immediately."

After he said that, Eclipse held his chin as he thinks further.

'How am I going to reconnect with Sir Red if the progression rate is still lower and also, I still have some other pending tasks that wasn't completed yet so that might be the reason why since I won't be able to attend at the academy where the main storyline would start.'

While Eclipse still keeps on thinking about how the progression rate would increase without going to the academy, Arico just stared at Eclipse's appearance, and he suddenly remembered something that he asked out of the blue.

Arico; "Wait a minute, Eclipse. I remember something from before. You said that snow-colored hair and lilac-colored eyes are your true appearance even in your previous life as Ezekiel Zephyr Chevalier, right? Care to explain that as well?"

Ah, that's right. Eclipse was about to explain his true appearance that Arico and within the members of the Main House are quite familiar with it.
