Chapter 430: World tree

Chapter 430: World tree

They had already formulated all kinds of plans to make the optimum utilization of the supreme tickets they had.

It was unlikely for them to be able to use them later, either way.

Thus everyone had agreed to use the supreme tickets of those that were willing to hand them out in order to increase the amount of mana the Hidden Paradise generated.

In the end, the options were way too many to make a simple decision within half an hour.

There were certain flowers that created faint currents of mana by converting all kinds of nutrition and other necessities into it.

A bunch of flowers could be obtained for a single supreme ticket in addition to a small fortune of gold coins.

Despite that, they could create mana provided that they were unscathed.

This meant that even the smallest injury on its root would cause the mana generating process to not work anymore!

That was not something they wanted, and instead of purchasing those flowers that would inevitably be damaged in the future, they had to think of a solution where something could be touched, moved around, or even accidentally damaged without affecting the mana production.

Other than that, there were certain plants that only had a short period in which they would generate mana every year, and others that would only generate mana for a certain period of time with the longest being 50 years.

This may be enough for Shane’s soul world to enlarge and become stronger, but nobody knew how much Hidden Paradise’s mana generating process would enhance.

As such, they could only try to work in favor of everyone which meant that they had to think of every possible future path mankind, the Hidden Paradise, and Shane could walk on.

While the possibility of Shane dying in the future cannot be neglected, the investment into his soul world was unavoidable due to multiple factors, including the safe haven the Hidden paradise was.

Nobody without Shane’s permission could enter his soul world, and others would have to kill him first before he would force the inhabitants of his soul world to emerge from the Hidden paradise as it would collapse with his death.

Shane, who was still walking through the Soul-Onyx-Jungle to find the hidden valley, couldn’t help but feel odd because most conversations the authorities held were partially done over their group chat.

Everyone was burdened with tasks and figuring out how to use the supreme tickets in the most efficient way had become something everyone thought of whenever they could.

At the same time, some thought about it even while working which caused them to throw in certain ideas once they flashed into their mind.

Meanwhile, Shane had yet to really find time to stop focusing on his surroundings and pay close attention to the Hidden shop and the mana generating plants.

In his opinion, it was not necessary to increase the amount of mana which the Hidden Paradise created to a large extent because his soul world shouldn’t turn into a place where everyone liked to stay forever!

For others, this could sound stupid, but Shane didn’t like the fact that he was responsible for hundreds of thousand lives, even right now!

With his death, the majority of inhabitants inside his soul world would die too.

This was simply uncomfortable and prevented Shane from doing certain tasks that were too dangerous if he had permanent residents within him!

In the end, everyone understood his concern, and it was also the other authorities’ will that nobody would have to live inside the Hidden Paradise forever.

However, on the other hand, this was something that might happen if they had to colonize a different planet due to many factors such as a higher safety rate, comfort, and better life than the Hidden Paradise.

At least, it would be like this for the first few weeks after they had found a place to build their first town, that may as well become a city or even the capital of their new empire.

Shane knew this, but he would love to give someone else the responsibility, which was not possible anymore.

It was too late to complain and change his mind.

Thus, instead of crushing everybody’s hopes, he might as well make use of every little help in order to become much stronger in the long-term process.

As such, Shane decided to take a quick glance at the Hidden Shop, while telling Umbra to pay attention to his surroundings.

There was a certain item that had caught his interest long ago and he wanted to see whether or not there were superior versions of it.

What he recalled was the tranquil forest and the mana generating trees!

They might not be able to uproot the forest because it legally belonged to the government, which none of his family was a part of anymore, but that was no problem.

During the time in which he had encountered many basic races in order to counterfeit and defend against the Miac alliance, Shane had become friends with someone who had told him lots of interesting information about plants and even trees.

Most of their discussion was about good food, but Shane could clearly remember a certain tree that bore wondrous fruits.

The fruit itself might be special to others owing to its mana replenishing effect, but Shane was more interested in the tree that generated mana!

With a little bit of research, Shane found what he had been looking for half an hour later before he sent the information straight into the group chat.

[Magi tree seedling] Magical tree that has the ability to generate mana!

Cost: <1> Supreme ticket; 100,000 platinum coins

There was something else he had found, but unsure of whether it was useless or not Shane attached a question mark to the second file with more information before he continued his way through the Soul-Onyx-Jungle.

[World tree seedling] Tree that has the ability to generate energy, control the surrounding trees and combine them, establishing a dense net.

Amplifies the connected tree’s ability, increasing its limits beyond the norms.

Cost: <400| Supreme tickets; 1,000,000 Diamond coins

Trees like the Magi tree would consistently generate and release mana which would only be a shallow amount owing to the required energy to grow.

Once they had grown up to a certain extent, the generated mana would increase, only to become purer the older the magic tree would get.

At least, that was what Shane’s research had told him.

Despite that, he was not sure how useful the World tree was.

According to his gut feeling and what he could comprehend by reading through the description, it should be extremely valuable.

However, the biggest question was whether the price of 400 supreme tickets was worth it!

With 400 supreme tickets, they could either purchase one world tree seedling or a total of 400 Magi tree seedlings!

In the end, he would only throw in his opinion about the others’ choice because the Astral Artisans had many people that had occupations focusing on researching plants in addition to a provided lexica.

Thus, asking them about the value of a magi and world tree was the best they could do for now.

Meanwhile, Shane continued to travel as days flew by before he found himself in the area that was said to inhibit the Hidden Valley.
