Chapter 33: Speech Part 3
Chapter 33: Speech Part 3
The Emerald City guards and the academy staff rushed the barbarian to the infirmary, but considering how fast his recovery was, he might not need to stay there for long.
"NEXT!" George shouted as another student came forward, followed by another.
There were some students who were asking questions that were beyond his means of answering, to combat this, he ignored their questions as if they weren't even worth asking.
George started to sweat as he had been rejecting question after question, but thanks to his ring, he managed to cover all of the sweat and made himself look dry.
It was a girl's turn, and looking at her face and her build, she looked like a 3rd-year student, and just from seeing her robe, she was a magician, "Since you are a magician, I think it is only appropriate that I ask you a question about magic, how did you reach godhood?"
George covered his neck, pretending to massage it, but in reality, he was hiding that he was swallowing his saliva for fear of answering the questions wrongly.
But through his experience as a lawyer, he knew how to do one thing and one thing only as best as he could, and that was lying proficiency, "You have to be very careful when asking that kind of question, would you like to know how I managed to get to godhood? Or would you like to know how you can reach godhood?"
The girl raised her eyebrow, 'What is the difference?' She thought, but before she could reply, George answered.
"What's the difference? That was what you were thinking right?" George asked.
She quickly covered her head, 'He read my mind!'
"And yes, I am reading your mind." George replied.
It might look like he was reading the girl's mind, but George was simply guessing what she was probably thinking in response to the answers that he gave, a trick that some pranksters use.
And even if he failed, he could easily pass it off as a joke.
But as he looked at the expression of the girl, it was clear that his act had been successful, "It seems that you are not very comfortable that I am reading your mind, I'll stop." He commented.
"Now, as I said, those two questions are very different, because what works for me, will not work for you. It might work for you in the beginning, but when you are getting to the highest level, you will not be able to replicate my success. So, to answer the question, take your own path, do not follow mine, you might reach godhood if you are willing to put in 100% of effort, the same goes for everyone here."
Before the girl could follow up on her questions, George blinked at Michael, signaling him before Michael nodded and quickly raised his hands.
The light source of the stadium had been removed, causing the whole place to be pitch black once more, and as the light appeared, pigeons flew from where George was standing, but 'Oz' was nowhere to be seen.
When the light was turned off, what George did to mimic disappearing was using the persona ring to cover him in an illusion of a pitch-black cloth around him, making him blend in with the darkness around him.
And he quickly ran towards the crowd and hid there.
The girl looked around, trying to find Oz, but couldn't, "Great Wizard, I know you are listening to me! Remember my name! Azalea! I will be the first witch to reach godhood, and I will beat you one day!" She shouted.

Both Goerge and Michael went back into the changing room, "So… anyone suspicious of anything?"
"No… It seems your mind reading…"
"Tricks. Mind reading tricks."
"Yeah how do you do that?" Michael asked.
"Eh, it's a long story, why don't you continue what you were about to say."
"Right… Your trick really worked on them. Did you know it would work that well?"
"50/50." George replied, still wiping his sweat off. "I need your help, I am seriously weak."
Michael then looked at George from head to toe, "I can see that…"
"Do you have any steroids?"
"And is that like something from your world?" Michael questioned, as he hadn't heard of the word steroids ever.
"Yeah, it's uhh, something that would increase my male hormones to speed up muscle recovery and to help me build strength and muscle." George explained.
"And that means what exactly?"
"It's something that would make me stronger faster than just exercising naturally."
"Ah! Why didn't you say that? The Herculean elixir can increase your strength, the barbarian's use it to increase their strength all the time!"
Awesome, so, like a health potion? I chug it down; I don't have to inject it in me?"
Michael nodded, "I'll give you an anonymous bank account to buy some for yourself, Oztanfil isn't using it anymore, so I guess you can have it." He continued before taking out the letter that the bank sent him while he was in the noble's house.
As he read it, he covered his face, sighing. "I am sorry, I don't think I could give you any money."
"What?" George asked.
"Oztanfil has just used all of the funds… How on earth did he even use up 10 thousand gold coins!!!" He shouted before throwing the letter down to the floor.
George didn't know how much that amount of gold coins was, but he knew that with 10 copper coins, he could buy a nice breakfast, now with the value that gold coin had, it meant that 10 thousand gold coins could far surpass the tens or maybe even a hundred million gold coins.
"Shoot…" George followed Michael and sat down on the hari, trying to think of something.
"I will try to find Oztanfil, probably send a few Emerald City guards to capture him, say that he is a criminal disguised as you."
"And… What should I do in the meantime? I am literally with kids who could kill me in a few punches if they wanted."
"It's not the end of the world yet. I believe that the academy has competitions so you could win some of those Herculean elixirs."
