Chapter 126
126 Kicking A Rock
Surprise flashed through his eyes as he took a better look. The trade market was one of the good ways of making money but it was also one of the easiest ways to lose money too.
With the high risk, only professionals ventured into it at this time of the world. He stepped back but kept looking through her phone to be sure that she was trading right.
However, by the time the elevator got to the top floor, Rong Yue kept her phone away without even bothering to log out or anything.
“The new products don’t have a lot in stock yet and are less than ten for each one,” the manager informed them as he opened the last door on the hallway they were with a password.
Rong Yue nodded without realizing the man couldn’t see her and just followed him in. The manager on the other hand thought they were dissatisfied with such a result and kept thinking of ways to cajole them.
“If you like the prototype we can immediately tell the manufacturing department to make some more...” the more he talked, the more excited the manager’s tone got.
After all, if their product was good enough and Qin Yichen considered giving them an investment or just evaluation, it would shoot their company to the skies and they would even be able to increase the price.
If all of these happened, the higher ups would also respect him for bringing a big boss like this to the company.
Rong Yue looked around the room briefly and her gaze settled on a glass covered horizontal standing case that held the newly created hardwares.
.....
Qin Yichen sensed her gaze going there and spoke up, “quick show us what we are here for, there’s no time to waste.”
The manager rushed ahead and opened the case and then made way for Rong Yue to check things out.
Rong Yue looked through them carefully but none of her reactions was what the manager had expected making him feel like perhaps she doesn’t know the worth and was just playing around.
“This is the new ace cutter, the back up it does to the firewall around a place and ....” His words were interrupted by a sharp glare from Rong Yue.
“It’s unable to cover even this whole room and has such a short width. Is there a need to be this excited?”
The manager flushed with embarrassment as she pointed out the major flaw of the hardware and he finally understood that she didn’t give the expected reaction not because she didn’t know the worth.
But because she knew it too well! He looked at her again, this time with a new light as he wondered how she was able to know things like that on one glance without any checking.
Rong Yue however paid him no attention as she selected about six hardwares and took two of each one.
Since Qin Yichen had brought her here and she already knew how he also valued technology, she felt that making for him would make some sense, after all, the things she saw here, although couldn’t do all she wanted, it would reduce the time she would spend by half if she had bought the ones out in the market at this time.
After she was done picking, Qin Yichen pulled out a black card and handed it over to the manager.
Deduct the exact amount for this items, there’s no need to give a discount,” he warned before pulling Rong Yue aside for the manager to pass.
He was only here because it was the closest and best option for him and had no intention of owing them any debt. Later on, he could go ahead to take her to somewhere better if she needed more.
Seeing that his plan to give a discount so that he could call on a Favour later had been discovered, the manager had no choice than to give up and allow him do his command.
After then, the both of walked out of the room with the packed hardwares.
As soon as they arrived at the first floor, the receptionist from earlier rushed out and came to kneel in front of Qin Yichen.
“Wuwu...Young master, please forgive my ignorance! I’m the only breadwinner of my family and need this job... I promise to be indebted to you for life...” she cried out sharply, attracting anyone that was passing by.
Qin Yichen’s brows scrunched up with distaste while Rong Yue looked away from her as she felt she was really a sore sight to look at.
Earlier, she had still looked passable but with tears smudging all of her makeup, she looked really hideous to Rong Yue who had a high standard for fashion and didn’t want to dirty her eyes.
Qin Yichen scoffed arrogantly as she brushed her hands that was about to touch his leg off
“Indebted to me? Are you even worth it?”
The receptionist froze as she heard his words, totally not expecting such a reaction, after all, which man didn’t like to be a damsel in distress?
“Ahh little sister, please do beg him for me....earlier.. it ... It was only a momentary mistake” she turned to Rong Yue and begged.
“A momentary mistake? Explain to your boss clearly, after all, we have nothing to do with your employment, you are only embarrassing yourself by being like this,”
“Also, as a person, if you dare to mock people that you think are beneath you, you should be able to bear the consequences of your actions,”
For someone like this that had impure heart and motives, there was no need to help her, Rong Yue knew very clearly that if she had been the only one to drop by today here to buy something, this woman would have had her turned away at the door.
It was that simple.
And so for people that behaved in such manners, there was no need having unnecessary sympathy for them.
Qin Yichen agreed with her thoughts and he used his long legs to brush her hold off as he walked away with Rong Yue.
The girl cursed out at them as she saw the departing back, after all, she knew that this time, she had truly struck a hard rock.
More than losing the job, what made her more infuriated was missing out on a perfect man like that! She assumed that Rong Yue was his sister, with the two of them having perfect genes that made one heart beat faster and Rong Yue’s really young appearance, that conclusion was quite reasonable.
After seeing how the manager had treated the man, she had already realized the big mistake she made.
She could have made a man like that fall for her instead of just going on being rude to them.
In all of it, not for one moment did she reflect on her moral standards, only feeling that her only mistake was not seeing correctly and missing out on a good man like that.
