Chapter 2091: Battle Aftermath - Final
When Jin looked at his beloved old weapons, he noticed that there was something a little different from them. Their handles and hilts had been redesigned to the point where they incorporated Bamboo elements in it, making their name even more prominent for Bam and Boo.
But that was not the only thing that had been changed for these two shapeshifting weapons. A core had been added to the weapons themselves and only upon analysis that Jin find out that these cores were not just random magical cores.
It was actually a living breathing chi based core. There was chi being generated within it and if Jin could utilise it properly, it could also act as another chi generating item for him. That was what he had discovered when he first saw Bam but the moment he saw the Boo also had a core, Jin assumed otherwise until he looked at it carefully to notice that it was not a chi core but a mana core.
This meant that these two weapons were to be used as a set to signify the union of chi and magic to be used on the same battlefield.
So, for the next few days, the King stayed in the castle's training ground to ensure that he learned the techniques that the System had awarded him as well as get used to his new set of weapons, it did not take long to absorb the teachings of those scrolls and he could understand the change he needed to make in order prove useful in his fight.
Right now, each time he swung his sword, he utilised his chi in his mana core sword and magic in his chi core sword. That way, he efficiently split the direction of his powers into two swords, and was still able to create Maqi using just mana on one hand and chi with the other.
And at times, he switched the directions for those chi and mana flow to make Bam and Boo display their powers even more fiercely.
At that point, each time he slashed down his sword, a silhouette of a Panda Paw came out so naturally that it did not look like Jin learned it a few days ago. His kicks were also enhanced with the hind legs of a Panda and when his two swords came crashing down together, a Panda head emerged as a following silhouette with its mouth wide open to bite the enemy.
To the Commando Mages who were on rotational guard duty now that Jin was training by himself, they were a little envious that their King was able to command such strong and precise use of magic and chi so easily. Even the leaders of the Commando Mages asked their King if they could pick up some chi generating tips.
Unfortunately, Jin found out that every one of them was the same as the people in his home world.
It was either one becomes a mage or a cultivator. It was not possible to choose two. The only people who could do that were actually the Pandarians who managed to pick up magic spells rather easily from Jin's fellow mages. A dozen of them had already been recruited and personally trained by Commando Mage Team leader, No. 4 for their training programme and regime.
He was surprised that they were able to tolerate the basic training and asked his Majesty whether it was possible to give them advanced training since they were able to complete the basics in record time.
It was then Jin found out that most of them were able to produce those silhouette like attacks like how Captain Hei and Jin did. Even the former was in shock to learn that those twelve Pandarians were able to perform the same kind of attacks albeit the quality of the strikes.
It did not take long to let No.4 use the Wand Rifles and he had a feeling that Ress might be able to get another set of Commando Mages if they continued to excel this much.
And speaking of the Pandarians, Jin had once again entered the Bamboo God Altar and improvised smithed the altar for another week straight. He believed that if they did not have the Bamboo God's blessing, this particular dungeon portal might incur fresh new threats from the orcs.
Also, if Jin was able to create a Bamboo Fortress in that short amount of time, imagine the kind of stuff he could create in a week.
Thus, the initial Bamboo Fortress eventually became the Bamboo City's inner citadel where Elder Bai would be residing. And as stated, the Bamboo God had transformed the remaining portion of the Bamboo Forest into a lush city. Even the Bamboo God got even bigger in size and height and it was tremendously imposing to see from its base.
It was safe to say that the Bamboo God Tree had finally grown as big as the rumoured Yggdrasil Tree.
The Bamboo City itself while expanded did not have the necessary occupants but Jin was not worried about that since in that one week, he had heard from Elder Bai that the Pandarians were rather hardworking in the aspect of ...reproduction. He did not know what went through them as if their instincts had overtaken their ability to think and Bai could only defer that as an instinctive mating season.
After all, they suffered losses as compared to the Rifle Mages who did not have any deaths.
Jin did not query anymore but felt that their reproduction cycle was rather short...not to mention the growth spurts as well in those younger pandas. He believed it had something to do with his achievement but when being thrust into such conversations, Jin quickly used the Bamboo God as the possible excuse for such an event.
That was why Jin kept quiet and even offered engineers, carpenters, and any spare miscellaneous support to the Pandarians to ensure that they would be able to grow well in this lush and brand new city space that the Bamboo God had created. It would only be a matter of time before the Pandarians grew in number and became a capable fighting force as compared to the humans of Ress.
Because even though the Pandarians were able to become Rifle Mages, it was only a small percentage of them that was able to ignite that kind of magical power within them. Perhaps there were some awakening issues that Jin and the Elders of Pandarians were not aware of.
Unfortunately, the rest were not capable of wielding magic directly or with ease and they would have to rely on their chi powers only. Yet, that was more than sufficient than normal humans with no magic powers carrying sharp metal sticks and a slab of metal to protect oneself against the demon horde.
All in all, Jin could not wait for time to pass quickly for these Pandarians to grow in numbers. But he had forgotten that among all of these expansion of his own city and his allies, the same goes to the enemies around him.
So Jin believed that the Pandarians would eventually be the bulk of his military might while the humans take the mage positions,
