Chapter 2090: Battle Aftermath -Part 3
With the battle against the Dune Shell Orcs concluded, most of the Pandarians that had been evacuated from their Bamboo Village subsequently returned to the dungeon portal. In the meantime, the injured soldiers were transported back to Ress for treatment. The only person who had stayed was undoubtedly the main character to negotiate.
Minister En Moy wanted to assist with the negotiations with the Pandarian Village but Jin rejected his help as the king believed that he had reached to a point of 'trust' with the Pandarians. Elder Bai thanked him profusely when everything had settled down and the civilian Pandarians were returned to the village.
Captain Hei also offered his gratitude and the Elder of the Pandarian Village had finally decided to pledge his help to aid Jin against the monsters. However, he worried that there was not much he could assist with mainly because of the fact that they do not have the numbers.
Jin smiled and secretly hoped that the System's rule would kick in when he left the dungeon portal open and allowed them to proliferate at their own pace. He honestly believed that more Pandarians would be 'born' from this rule since it had always been that way for the Open Sea Dungeon Portal.
Up to this day, the fish within the Open Sea Dungeon Portal continue to flourish at a constant pace and even keep up with the demand despite the increase in boats and fishermen.
But the king of Ress was not done with the Pandarians at all. He had told them that they have access to Ress especially the Royal Fields of Ress if they wish to have a piece of land to stay. But more importantly, Jin would be sending aid in terms of military equipment and teachers to further improve themselves when the time was ready.
After all, if they were able to have access to modern weapons and education, their civilians would also be able to contribute to their society. "Not to mention, I think they would be well like when they entered Ress," Jin thought to himself as a few of the Rifle Mages enjoyed the company of the Pandarians despite their huge stature.
There was no animosity or indifference towards the Pandarians even when the civilians were stationed in Ress for a brief period of time.
They had been seen as guests rather than monsters and most of Ress' Citizens were just curious about the latest thing that their King was up to. Jin also made sure that the Pandarians were able to come to Ress whenever they wanted so that both sides would have sufficient exposure in order to prevent any awkwardness when the push came to shove and Ress needed Pandarians help to aid with things.
With things in the Pandarian Village settled, all that was left was allowing Ress Salvagers into the dungeon portal. With that many thousands of Dune Shell Orcs dead, that also meant there were a ton of resources that were lying on the floor around the Pandarian Village.
A portion of them had been collected and Jin had used it to improve the walls of the Pandarian Village since it was partially considered as the Bamboo Fortress. But most of it had been taken into Ress's one and only underground military production facility that it was starting to build not just tanks.
Artillery.
The one thing he loved the most when it came to war was long range support and this was part of his list for the longest time ever. If one had artillery, one would win half of the battlefield. The only problem with artillery is the amount of shells they needed to produce and the resources needed would be immensely wasteful.
But now that they had a heck lot of materiel to play with, this became an issue they would safely say they had it settled for the time being.
The Pandarians also aided with the salvaging portion, increasing the new friendship that Jin and Elder Bai had developed but what Jin was more concerned with was the rewards the System had given him when he was not looking.
Only when the King had officially returned to Ress did he find out that the System had given him several achievements!
"Friend of Pandas." Awarded for creating the first monster ally of the newly restructured kingdom. Increased proliferation for said monster as long as they are within the dungeon portal. When Jin saw this, he was right on his money that the Pandarians would be able to get more Pandarians so long he left the Dungeon Portal open.
"Saviour of Pandas." Awarded for saving the Pandarians from an onslaught they could never have defended with their own abilities. Eternal Bond established with the Pandarian Clans and all Panda creatures and monsters that encountered have a chance of respecting User for the deeds he had done.
"Once a Panda, Always a Panda." Awarded for staying true to the roots of one's identity. Scrolls of the Pandarian Techniques had been placed in User's inventory. Jin was actually quite surprised to find that some of the Pandarian Techniques had usage of Magic and Chi combined as one.
This meant that if he practiced these techniques as advised, there was a possibility he might be able to control his Maqi even better. But all he did was a quick peek at the scrolls and had yet to digest them. He could only hope that they would be useful for him though simultaneously, Jin believed that the System would not give him some trash as well.
But the last achievement could possibly be the best reward he could ever get from this Pandaful experience. "Disciple of the Bamboo God." Awarded for reviving the Bamboo God Tree and protected the beloved village of the Bamboo God with all his heart. A piece of equipment from his original life had been retrieved. A new Job Class had been awarded to the User.
"Now this is the amazing portion. Welcome back. Bam and Boo. I missed you dearly. Can't believe that ass of the original System allowed me to bring my storage ring but not my weapons." Jin said as he saw the set of familiar katanas shining in the System status.
