Chapter 47: Solution

Chapter 47: Solution

The first thing he did after he killed the Guardian Fish was to find a safe spot and sit down. He checked his window status.

First of all, his HP was still full for sure as he was never getting hit. Then he checked the stamina bar. A grin immediately formed on his face at the sight of the stamina bar, 565/650.

85 Stamina used to kill one Guardian Fish. It was a lot more than he expected, but it was still in the acceptable range. He could hunt six to seven Guardian Fishes.

"This is weird, why does my stamina not recover? And also hunger?" It was common knowledge that when someone leveled up, everything would be restored. Mana and Health Point, at least how it worked in Universe Online.

Other people should realize this by now, but this was Shen's first time to get leveled up.

After that, he looked over the status point. He leveled up all the way to level 7. Each level up granted him 10 Status Points for him to freely allocate to the attributes he wanted to focus on.

"Hehe 60 Status Points, should I put them all on Agility?" His hand was itching to allocate that way, but he managed to hold himself back from doing so.

"I can't do that, this place is abnormal. I have to think carefully about my allocation," Shen shook his head. But he had a plan in his mind: +4 Agility, +2 Endurance, +2 Strength, +1 Vitality, and +1 Dexterity.

That was the allocation he had planned upon knowing that he would get 10 Status Points for each level. He did not know what the use of this Dexterity for his class was, but since that was the highest attribute for his class, he could not ignore that.

"Let's do that!" Shen nodded and he looked back on the interface of his status. Just as he was about to distribute the Status Points, he noticed a change in his status.

"Huh!? My Agility and Dexterity grow by themselves by leveling up?" His eyes brightened.

Name: Runner

Race: Human

Class: Yosu Legatee

Affiliation: -

Level: 7

Experience: 10,000/25,200

Health Point: 100

Stamina Point: 565/650

Hunger: 61

Armor: 2

Status:

Strength: 41

Agility: 77

Vitality: 10

Endurance: 65

Dexterity: 101

Status Point: 60

Skill:

Void Sword Technique: [Void Draw - Level 1], [Void Step - Level 1], [Void Critical - Level 1 (Passive)]

He was sure that his Agility increased by 6, from 71 to 77. The same for Dexterity, it was increased by 12, from 89 to 101. That meant each level his Agility automatically increased by 1 while Dexterity increased by 2.

This was a huge advantage for sure. Of course, he could not feel the benefit in the short term as the benefit would be accumulated. The difference could be felt later on when he reached the triple digits.

"Hmm, let's change the allocation" Shen thought differently after knowing the increase, "I should increase my Vitality by one and reduce the Agility by one."

Shen mulled over a little longer. Deep inside, he wanted to keep the first allocation so he could have high Agility. More ability meant he became faster, but it was not the right time for that. He had to survive from this unknown land first.

"At least I need more HP so I will not get one-hit killed by the chicken or the fist," Shen was determined and immediately allocated the available Status Points.

Distributed Status Points:

Strength: 12

Agility: 18

Vitality: 12

Endurance: 12

Dexterity: 6

That was how Shen distributed 60 Status Points. The smile on his face became wider as he checked the window status for the third time.

Endurance was the most important after Agility, hence he prioritized it over Dexterity. As for Vitality, he would keep allocating two points in it until he reached level 10. By then, no monster could insta-kill him.

Strength was for sure needed to increase his damage. He was the only one in the village, he could not increase his damage by purchasing a good weapon. He had to allocate Status Points until he could find a better solution.

"Alright, I am done with the status. The next concern is the weapon," Shen muttered as he brought his weapon closer. He opened the information to check the durability.

[Rusty Sword]

Grade: Inferior

Attack: 1-3 Damage

Durability: 22%

The sword lost 50% Durability for killing one Guardian Fish. That was understandable since the fish was level 32 while the sword was just an Inferior Grade weapon.

The sword was supposed to be used to attack level 1 to level 3 monsters, not level 32 monsters. In the next fight, the sword would be broken for sure.

"Fortunately Yosu gave me a sword and I also have a spear. The reward from reporting the bug," Shen muttered in a low voice. Of course, he knew this was not the permanent solution.

The backup spear and sword eventually would break if he could not find a blacksmith to repair or get a whetstone to increase the weapon's durability.

Shen then turned his head toward the spearhead fish. It was general knowledge that the monster in Tribe Online did not drop items. Players could only get exp from killing monsters.

However, players could bring the corpses back to the city to be skinned. A certain beast's fur could be sold at a high price. Some of the beast's bones and teeth or tusks could be used as crafting materials. The meat also could be sold or the player could cook the meat to fill the hunger.

The concept brought many praises to the developer despite the inconveniences. This gave the players the feeling of adventure just like in the novel. Shen read all of this on the forum.

At the thought, Shen stood up and approached the dead fish. He pulled the fish from the tree and observed the spear-like snout. His eyes suddenly brightened as he got an idea, a solution for the weapon.
