Chapter 46: Finally...

Chapter 46: Finally...

As Shen headed toward the river where the spearhead fish resided, he advised his plan, 'There's no change of plan, even though my other stats are increasing by a huge margin, my Vitality remains the same. I am still the same one-hit die if the fish hit my head.'

Yosu did not give him training where he could increase Vitality. That was understandable as he could not think of a way to increase his vitality.

'Maybe if I keep getting hit it can increase my Vitality,' that was how the main character got tougher in the martial art story he read in the past.

'Silly, but can't try it since I only have 100 HP. I may die before my stat could increase,' Shen shook his head. He was still avoiding the chicken, but he traveled faster since he was familiar with the surroundings.

Shortly after, he arrived at the river. It was two weeks ago since the last time he visited this place. Nothing changed of course, since he was the only visitor that ever came to this place.

Despite the training and a big increase in his stats, Shen was still nervous inside. He died many times under the spearhead fish's attack. That left a deep impression on him.

He took out his sword from the inventory. It was not the sword gifted by his Master but the Inferior Grade sword. The newbie sword. The reason he used this sword was because of its durability.

He wanted to use this sword until it broke before he would use the gifted sword. No blacksmith could repair his sword in this place. He could not purchase whetstone either. Whetstone was an item used to restore a weapon's durability.

Shen had done his research after his battle against the fish. The crisis was still looming over even though he had found a way to increase his stats by training.

Taking a deep breath, Shen walked to the river's edge. His eyes focused on the water, ready to make any move as soon as he detected the movement.

Ten seconds later, the water splashed. He let himself fall with his back, barely dodging the fish that flew above him.

Bugh!

'That's actually hurt,' he felt his head hit something on the ground.

Shen immediately stood up and ran toward the other side of the fish. The fish followed him, "Hehe, come fishy! Come at me," he could not help but get excited as he provoked the fish.

The spearhead fish leaped toward him. The fish aimed for his head, and he would die in an instant if the fish landed a hit on his head. He took a light step to the left.

A strong breeze hit his face as the fish missed its attack again. Shen's eyes immediately observed toward the direction of the closest tree. He immediately moved there as the fish turned toward him as it landed on the ground.

'Everything went smoothly, I hope I have enough damage and stamina to kill the fish,' he thought to himself.

He did not use a skill to preserve stamina. He did not know many hits needed to kill the fish hence he did this. This spearhead fish was level 32, after all.

"Yes, that's right. Come closer to this brother" Shen was confident and at ease. That was because of the increased stats he had. Totally different from before who fought desperately.

'Two meters Two meters" deep inside, he reminded himself that the fish would jump when the fish reached its range of attack.

As soon as the fish reached the range of attack, he ducked his head as the fish leaped forward. Shen rolled his body forward.

Dunk!

He heard a loud sound. It was the sound of wood getting pierced by the fish. He stood up and turned around. Sure enough, the spearhead fish was stuck and dangling on the tree.

"Yes!" Shen clenched his fist as he succeeded in the first step. The grip on the sword tightened as Shen approached the fish.

The fish was shaking its tail hard, trying to break free from the tree. But the spearhead was firmly stuck on the tree.

Shen arrived next to the fish and he raised the sword. The sword slashed down to the side of the fish. However, Shen focused on the text that would appear above the spearhead fish.

Shen's smile was getting wider when he saw the red floating number. He was beaming in happiness as he dealt real damage to the monster, for the first time.

"Let's do training with a target," he recalled the sword swing training and applied it with the fish as the target.

A vertical slash followed by a horizontal slash and ended with a stab. His strike was fast and adapted as three floating damage appeared above the fish.

Shen checked the spearhead fish's health bar. Still far from being empty but it had lost a big chunk of it. With a big smile, he repeated the training set on the fish.

He did not count how many strikes to kill the spearhead fish, but the fish's hp quickly depleted. The best part was where he triggered a critical strike.

Shen kept swinging his sword at the fish. He vented all his frustration on the fish. The frustration that had been piling up. Soon the fish died after his continuous brutal attack.

"Finally! Finally! Buhahaha" villain laughter escaped Shen's mouth. He could not contain it anymore. While people were hunting the monsters, he was training alone. Bringing rock while running, lifting the rock, and also swung his sword into the empty air.

All of those were paying off, he finally could enjoy the game.
