Chapter 214 - Something To Do

"It seems you’ve met our new guild member."

.

.

.

When Xiao Hei turned her head, she saw Xiao Fang standing only a dozen meters away. Her eyes became teary before she suddenly jumped towards him.

Even though he didn’t expect her to act so dramatically, Xiao Fang still let her hug his lower half.

"You wouldn’t believe what happened. The Supreme Elder is a total psycho. She kidnapped me, then threatened to torture me. She even broke our guild house door down too," Xiao Hei expressed all of her grievances while looking up at him cutely.

Xiao Fang nearly laughed, but he suppressed it to just a simple smile.

"It seems she really put you through a hard time," Xiao Fang said as he began to pat her head.

...

Hiding in the distance, Supreme Elder Quan grimaced when she heard Xiao Hei’s complaining about her. Even though she did lose her temper at one point, she didn’t hurt Xiao Hei despite all the disrespect she received from her.

’Once this is all over, I’m really going to wash her mouth out with soap,’ Supreme Elder Quan thought.

...

Xiao Hei suddenly noticed Xue Li standing inappropriately close to Xiao Fang, then Xue Li slowly took a few steps back.

"She’s a friend. Her name is Xue Li," Xiao Fang said.

Still Xiao Hei didn’t say anything as if she was trying to see through her.

Seeing how intimate Xiao Hei was being with Xiao Fang, Xue Li assumed that they were a couple. After witnessing how powerful Xiao Hei was, she became worried that she would find out that Xiao Fang and her were doing intimate things together in the guild house.

Xue Li sighed quietly in relief when Xiao Hei finally looked away.

{"Fang, I need to talk to you in private,"} Xiao Hei suddenly said through a spirit transmission.

Xiao Fang nodded then said, "Xue Li, please wait here. There’s something I need to speak to Fei Lin about."

After leaving Xue Li alone with Ye Ming, Xiao Fang and Xiao Hei went somewhere private before Xiao Hei explained everything that happened in Supreme Elder Quan’s house.

"She just let you leave?" Xiao Fang asked.

"En," Xiao Hei nodded.

Xiao Fang found it strange that the Supreme Elder would take Xiao Hei all the way to her house for such a brief conversation, so he began to scan the area, listening closely to his surroundings in case she followed Xiao Hei here. Although there was a lot of ground to cover, it didn’t take long for him to find where she was hiding.

’For a Supreme Elder, she isn’t very good at hiding,’ Xiao Fang thought.

"What do we do?" Xiao Hei asked.

"You did good, but the next time she confronts you, tell her to come find me. I’ll tell her what she wants to know."

"Ah... Are you sure?"

"Mn, just leave the rest to me."

...

Off in the distance, Supreme Elder Quan’s heart raced when she heard Xiao Fang’s words. It seemed that following Xiao Hei was the right move after all.

For a moment, she even considered whether the mystery man that saved her was really Xiao Fang, but considering his age, she assumed something like that would be impossible. Furthermore, she very distinctively recalled that the man that saved her had white hair, not black.

...

Xiao Hei was confused and a bit concerned for Xiao Fang. She always thought that he wanted to keep his identity a secret in the Black Paradise sect, so she couldn’t figure out why he wanted to expose his identity so soon, and to a Supreme Elder nonetheless. Even though Xiao Hei didn’t see eye to eye with Supreme Elder Quan, she didn’t try changing his mind. She knew once Xiao Fang decided on something, he wouldn’t change it for anything.

"If that’s what you want. I’ll tell her to find you the next time I see her. Well, now that we got that out of the way, why don’t you tell me about that Xue Li girl?"

Xiao Fang smirked.

"She’s a pretty girl, isn’t she? And she’s a year younger than me too. For the past hour or so, she’s just been teaching me how to make inscriptions."

Just listening to Xiao Fang’s tone, Xiao Hei could tell that he liked Xue Li, so she could tell that they were doing more than just ’making inscriptions’.

"She’s teaching you? But she’s so young. When I suggested that you find a teacher, I didn’t mean to find someone as inexperienced as her. I bet even I could teach you more than she can," Xiao Hei berated him with a jealous tone.

"Perhaps, but I still need to learn the basics, so she’ll do for now," Xiao Fang said.

"If you need to learn the basics then I can teach you," she blinked cutely at him.

Despite her words, he could tell that she wanted to do more than just study with him.

"Sure, but there’s something I need you to do for me first."

Xiao Fang explained to her what Xue Li’s mother was making Xue Li do, then told Xiao Hei that if she could help Xue Li deconstruct her mother’s formation he’d reward her. The mere mention of a reward made Xiao Hei excited. She quickly started running back to Xue Li to get started, but stopped when she realized that Xiao Fang wasn’t moving.

"Aren’t you coming?" she asked.

"You go on first, I’ll meet you there in a minute."

Hearing that, Xiao Hei quickly ran off.

When Xiao Hei was gone, footsteps could be heard coming from behind Xiao Fang. Xiao Fang smirked inwardly, because he knew who it was.

"Supreme Elder Quan, I assume you came to learn about what happened to you on the 7th floor," Xiao Fang calmly said as he turned around.

Supreme Elder Quan was surprised, because despite sneaking up on him, he hardly reacted at all. However, she didn’t let that distract her from asking what she wanted to know.

"Tell me where he is," she jumped straight to the point.

Xiao Fang smiled then said the same words he said to Xiao Hei,

"Sure, but there’s something I need you to do for me first."
