Chapter 49 The Outcast Shelter
The morning was bright, and the glistening sunlight clearly showed the two figures on the bed in each other's embrace.
Lia was hugging Rio as if he was her teddy bear. They were both lost in their dreamland but a smile was plastered on their faces.
After some moments passed, she slowly opened her eyes and found herself snuggling into Rio.
'I wish I could stop the time and we could stay like this. Ah...I almost forgot. I should get that for him. It will help him in his upcoming missions.'
She remembered 'something' and sat up on the bed. She gazed at Rio's sleeping face and inclined towards him.
She was fearing he might open his eyes and her heartbeat was getting faster. Since she had come this close to his face she decided to execute the task she wanted to do.
She pecked his right cheek and left the bed slowly without making a noise.
She went towards the bathroom to get fresh which caused her to not see the boy's eyes which were a little open and peeking at her back.
He kept pretending to sleep and smiled internally.
After 30 minutes, she came out of the bathroom with wet white hair that was covered in a towel and went to her dressing table.
Hearing footsteps, Rio finally decided to wake up. He stretched his body and yawned pretending that he was just woken up.
Lia turned around to see him. They both looked into each other's eyes, not knowing how to start the conversation.
They were both bad at expressing themselves at the initial stage of the relationship and they didn't want to talk about how they slept together hugging each other.
At last, Lia decided to ask him about his plans and break the silence.
"What do you wanna do today?" She asked and turned back to continue to do her hair.
"I have to get to a shelter and register so the second mother doesn't stop me from using the portal capsule. That's my first goal." He said nonchalantly and gazed at her alluring figure.
"Ahh...I should've remembered that you need to fix that problem first. Don't worry, we have a way to send you to the shelters we own but from there you have to walk to the one you want.
Do you have any shelter's name in mind that you wanna go to?" She asked him while turning around to look at him.
"I know the names of a few shelters where some of my classmates have registered. It's Purple Dawn, Yellow Skull post, and the Purple Tower of the Outcast." He said while remembering the names he read before coming here.
"Purple Dawn and Yellow Skull Post are at the border of Shamor Empire. So it's better you register at the Outcast." She urged him in a relaxed tone.
"Why is it better to register at the purple tower of the Outcast and not at those other two? " He asked with puzzlement.
"Father will give you an answer to that question. Let's focus on registering at a shelter first so you can use the portal capsule openly and stay here freely.
The Outcast has five shelters under humans which includes a silver stage shelter. So going there will be better for you and save you some time.
If you go from the Yellow tower of Outcast to the Purple Tower of Outcast, it won't take you a long time compared to other shelters in a different area.
As all the Outcast shelters are in one big region and they are all under humans." Lia explained and looked at his curious gaze.
"Can't I directly go to the purple tower?" He asked as his eyebrows were scrunched.
"You will rarely find a yellow stage beast near a purple stage shelter. So you need to go to Yellow Tower first which is a shelter at your level. You can easily spot a Yellow stage beast there.
Also, our Mistborn Shelter is near the Yellow tower of the outcast. So you have to go there first anyway. It will take an hour by foot to reach the yellow tower of the outcast from Mistborn Shelter." She spoke while walking step by step to the bed he was sitting on.
"But I'm supposed to save those beasts from humans so going there will only be like a formality." He said with a bittersweet smile.
"Nah... That shelter is very far away from our empire. Those beasts aren't under our banner so you do not need to worry about protecting them.
A beast under our banner will have our marks on them which are those purple stripes you see on the guards' armors at the Villa Entrance.
Just avoid killing them unnecessarily while you're with humans." She calmly said and stare into his sea-green eyes which were finally no longer filled with puzzlement.
"As you say, my lord." Rio teased her while she was standing close to him.
She avoided his mischievous eyes and spoke, "I'll bring you to the teleporter tower after we do our breakfast. Let me ask Yami to bring the meal to our room. You should get ready."
"Okay…" He said while still gazing at her fairy-like face which turned around to walk away.
She went downstairs and didn't come right away. He decided to get fresh before having his breakfast.
When he came back out of the bathroom, he saw Yami placing their food on a portable table near the couch but Lia had not returned.
As he was thinking of asking Yami, he heard light footsteps approaching and a white-haired beauty entered the room.
She sat beside him and waited for Yami to leave.
As she left, Lia took out two old scrolls from her Spatial beast soul.
They were thick brown paper similar to the one she gave him previously for [Astral Recall Technique] but the size was a little smaller this time.
