Chapter 83
Chapter 83: Amanda (3)
Amanda let out hysterical laughter and her already wide mouth turned even wider. As she laughed crazily, gust of wind swirled around me, carrying the smell of blood and rotten flesh.
The smell was too disgusting, it nearly suffocated me to death.
But, Senior Hani in front of me didn’t even flinch. How serious was the effect of possession exactly?
“I clearly underestimated you. You’re just a young human, but I need to spend this much of effort only to catch you!” She sneered in annoyance.
“I really have no idea why you’re so eager to catch me. Do I owe you something? I don’t think so.” I was a bit surprised I didn’t stutter.
Amanda’s lips twitched in annoyance. She looked like she wanted to tear me apart, but she held back the urge until her body was shaking.
From the way her body shook, I could assume how much she hated me.
.....
I laughed inwardly. My eyes stole a glance towards the silent Senior Hani. Why did he not make any move?
“What have you done to him?”
“Just turned him into my puppet. It was not easy to control him, but as long as I know his weaknesses, I can make him do anything I want.” After saying that, Amanda laughed.
I arched my eyebrows. His weaknesses? I wonder what they were.
As I thought so, my free hand grabbed his hand which was gripping my wrist. As if feeling shock from where I was holding him, I could feel the slight tremor from his hand that I was holding, spreading through his body in a second.
Before I realized what had happened, Senior Hani had released his tight grip on my wrist as if he was holding a hot iron bar.
“J-Jane..” He stuttered. His originally light skin was tainted with red blush until it covered his ears and neck. His eyes darted everywhere except myself as he stepped back slowly.
“Welcome back!” I smiled at him. “It’s good to take back the control of your body, right?”
My voice seemed to make him realized about his condition. Straightened his body, he looked like he had finally collected himself as he shot a death glare towards Amanda.
“Tch!” Ridicule and disgust were seen from her eyes as she met Senior Hani’s gaze. “You are no use for me now. Scram, weak human!” She shouted as she waved her long right hand.
As if on cue, several ghosts that were wailing and floating near us shot towards Senior Hani and trapped him in their circle. It happened so fast, I was left dumbfounded in my place. Seconds later, the circle dispersed along with Senior Hani and the ghosts.
“Where did you send him to?” I snapped at Amanda, feeling the rage slowly built inside of me as a result of rage and anxious for Senior Hani’s safety.
Amanda let out her shrill and creepy laugh, as if seeing me getting worked up over Senior Hani’s disappearance was something she was waiting for.
“Find your way out from here and you’ll know!” Amanda grinned from ear to ear; if she had one.
“Of course it won’t be easy.” She added. “After all the effort I spent to trap you in, I won’t let you go before I achieve my goal in taking you here.” She walked to me, her super tall body swayed and created a horrifying sight. The other ghost flew and formed a line behind her back, like the rows and lines of maids and eunuch walking behind a queen.
I didn’t think I could fall asleep after seeing this indescribable sight in front of me.
“What do you want?”
“I want to show you something good.” She sneered. Somehow I felt like she was up to something bad.
“What if I refuse?” I frowned. There was something inside of me saying that I shouldn’t agree to her.
Amanda laughed. “Jane, Jane, Jane.” She shook her head. “You have no other choice but to obey.” She said in a dangerously low tone. Her eyes sparked with bloodlust and I couldn’t help but shiver at it.
After that, I felt like I was bound by invisible rope, rendered me motionless. Then, a big force sucked me into a deep black hole and I lost my eyesight for a second. Panic rose in my heart when I couldn’t see anything. Even after I got my eyesight back, my heart was still thumping loudly and madly.
This time, I was alone.
I couldn’t see Amanda or any ghosts around me. I was alone, but I was still unable to move.
As I finally accepted my current situation, I realized that I had no idea where I was.
It was a familiar house, but I couldn’t remember whose house it was.
Who would have thought that I found the answer so fast and in a strangely weird way?
