Chapter 48: Quests: Making A Team

Quests: Making A Team

The matter was never disclosed by the Guild and it was quickly forgotten.

Right now, Qiao and Linwin were standing in front of another Guild Hall. This Guild was named after a flying monster but before they could enter, they heard a voice from behind, "Brother Qiao, I am not late, right?" Quipu had also left the previous Guild and followed after Qiao.

Qiao was slightly amazed. He was not expecting this chaser to stand true to his words.

He nodded towards him in appreciation.

They then entered the first Guild hall which was actually the reception.

It seemed all the chasers who were given reception duty shared similar traits. He could see the newbies entering in the Guild but still pretended to ignore them. He only noticed that all three of them were level one chasers.

The trio walked towards the reception and only then the guy started to open the naming record.

"Speak your name and which team you are going to register to?" he lazily asked not pointing his eyes to anyone among three which confused them.

Qiao looked at the other two and then answered, "I don't wish to join any team yet," he spoke.

He was not willing to immediately decide about the team. From the previous Guild experience, he came to know that once a chaser was registered under some team, he was obliged to follow his team no matter what and had no say to quit the team on his own will.

The team he joined earlier was different as it was the leader who invited him. He was more like a helper and not a registered member of the team yet, which was why he was free to decide his own stuff. Else he would have been forced by the leader to follow him no matter if his orders were useless or impractical.

"Young man, this Guild does not allow anyone to remain rogue. We simply don't have the spare time to look in to the matters of rogue chasers being browbeaten by the teams so everyone who wishes to join this Guild must select a team," he placed down his pen and looked Qiao.

"If you want to join us, I can provide the names of the teams which are currently open for the newbies," he supported against the chair and relaxed.

It was evening and most of the teams has gone to rest so he was quite free and felt no drag to explain to this youth.

"Senior, we have to discuss with each other first," Qiao excused and walked toward an empty bench. The three looked at each other.

"We have nowhere to go currently and possibly it would not be wise if we look for another Guild taking in to consideration our circumstances. But if we register here and ask to join a team, we will be sent to different teams," Qiao spoke first to explain the situation.

"Brother, it will be same situation with me, if I joined another team. No one is going to care whether I get a chance and get experience or not," Linwin spoke concerned.

He looked at Quipu, he was not sure what this chaser would say so he let him speak out his concern too.

"In my opinion, joining a team is not beneficial either, what is the use of us leaving the Guild if we will work separately?" he shrugged his shoulders. He has been in a team and seeing the shortcoming even he himself had learned their ways slowly and started to bully others.

Qiao was careful as he listened to them. Their concerns resembled his, if he joined any random team, he would have to follow the orders rather than focus on leveling. And his only path was to level up so it would greatly hinder his path of advancement.

"I have an idea brother," Quipu spoke seeing the worried look.

"We can make our own team," after speaking out he observed Linwin and then Qiao, he wanted to know what their reaction was.

Linwin eyes were wide open, he was indeed in favor of this idea.

"Yes brother, this is a great idea. Brother Qiao should become the leader of the team and we will follow your orders," Linwin excitedly spoke and looked toward Quipu whether he was willing to follow Qiao as subordinate.

"I have no qualms, in fact my own opinion is the same," he answered calm. He had already seen Qiao in action and even when he was angry, in both situation he never lost his composure. His decisiveness to decide what to do was important. Usually team leaders happened to lose their composure and order in bafflement and most of their orders prove to be irrational.

Qiao heard them and as he was also not in favor to join a team, he found making a team the best choice. But leading and guiding a team was tough and moreover they were only three of them. By the look of it, this small team was not beneficial for hunt.

"Brother, we will also welcome few more team members and let the reception man know that we are also looking for team member. This way he cannot object on the number of current team members," Quipu immediately understood his concern and suggested.

Qiao nodded as he understood he had to take risks if he wanted to level up soon. Thinking this he stood up and reached the reception, "The other two are also with me and we are already a team. Please register us as a team and also if there is any new registration of members, recommend them to our team," he confidently voiced.

The reception man nodded, and started to write the names of new team members, he handed the keys of their abodes and spoke, "You need to pay the exchange for the abode in advance, we don't give facility of two months in advance," he plainly spoke.

"How much for the three persons?" Qiao asked immediately.

Abode was the urgent need for them to decide how they would be surviving in the new Guild. If the people from previous Guild chased after them, he had to prepare for such situation. Qiao was from the advanced era, he cannot turn down the possibility of them chasing after them in the dark.

"Since you are newbie here, you have to pay three level one spoils for each of the member of your team for first month," the reception man spoke out the price.

Linwin and Quipu heard, they forked out one spoil from their pockets and handed Qiao. He also shuffled his pocket and there was one spoil which he recently got from hunt which he placed on the table along the other two in front of the reception man and he nodded.

They got the keys and someone then lead them toward the rows of abode. They were given adjacent abodes which was good.

Qiao was not very excited about the abode because the previous experience had already made him wary of the hygiene here.

But this one was lot better to his surprise. He finally could rest and think how he should tackle his problems and the path that laid before him.
