Chapter 4090: Lizard



I saw the monster coming toward me and it was fast, with dense black fire-like energy covering its claws.

It didn't make me feel good, and I decided to remain cautious of it.

A battle ax appeared in my hand, and I swung my ax at it.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

CLANNNG!

Its claw clashed against my ax, making a deafening sound rang out. Releasing the powerful shockwave while shaking me from top to down, before forcing me to take a step back.

Puh!

I vomited the blood, but all my eyes were on the lizard, which was hanging in the air, with its claws locked on the sword.

No monster had ever done it with me before.

ROAR!

It roared down on me and swiped its other claws at me, with me with even greater. CLANNNG!

The claw clashed against my shield, stopping it, while I took the chance to retreat, wiping the blood off my lips.

It roared as it landed and came at me; this time, there was no claw, but it's head.

It hadn't used that energy yet on me, which made me even more cautious of it.

My clones begin to make changes in my armor and even in my energy. That is one of the most dangerous of the monster energies I have faced, I need to be cautious.

This is an after, I had used the enchantment. Though I had not used the full power of them. Still, I had hoped there would be at least a deep wound, but there was only a line.

It roared and this time, there was anger in its eyes. The injury had made it angry.

It clashed, and I took a step back while the lizard attacked me with another claw.

It was fast, and it was coming at my head. If it struck, it was going to burst, like the watermelon.

I defended with my ax, but it attacked again and again, injuring me further and further.

I might be stopping its attack, but I am far from uninjured. I am taking injuries internally; the

constant stream of blood coming out of the corner of my lips is proof of that.

Many drops of it are sliding down my armor. I couldn't even wipe them. ROAR!

It roared again, with obvious frustration.

I don't know why it is feeling frustrated, when the monster is more powerful than me and has the support of powerful energy and suppression.

If there weren't such powerful suppressions, I would have been able to kill the bastard by

now.

I might not have had a direct increase in strength in the past three years, but I worked on the other things.

I have become really good at using the power I have and made a thousand minor changes to make it efficient. It's really hard for me to press as such as this monster is doing.

If I had been against a person of similar strength. I would have dominated them because of the advantages.

Here, in front of the monster of this realm. I don't have any, but I will defeat it, and I need to defeat it.

Isolation might be protecting me, but there are monsters everywhere. It would be bad if any had entered inside and worse if the king appeared.

It is unlikely the king would appear. My luck isn't that bad, but I rather not take the chances.

So, I want to finish the monster as soon as possible and it might seem like it, but I am doing that.

Making the monster irritated and angry, so it wouldn't focus on other things that are happening to it. That will help me kill it cleanly.

Once again, the claw clashed, but as it did, I felt it was different and a moment later, my eyes widened.

It released that dense fire-like energy. It is coming at me fast through my sword. I poured my energy into stopping it, but I was barely able to stop it.

It reached my armor through my hand and covered my body before a booming sound rang out that shook me hard and making me vomit blood with lots of pieces of flesh in it.

It burned the part of it to itself into my armor.

I could have stopped it, but that would make the armor weaker. It is better to let the energy inside and let the armor do what it's best doing.

Though, this time, it's extremely risky.

This energy is really powerful. So much, so that this time, the tanks made of ancient runes moved and captured it inside, before releasing it slowly.

I would have loved nothing more than to keep it contained, but the energy started to get

volatile.

If I didn't start to release it. It would explode and that would have been terrible. Given its power, even I don't know for sure whether it would have saved me or not.

One thing is clear. Even if I had survived. The monster would have finished the job.

ROAR!

"It's far from enough to kill me, little lizard," I said, and the monster seemed to understand the challenge in my voice as it roared loudly and attacked again.

I moved my ax forward to defend against it.

I could have easily used the shield, but I only have one, and I want to use it against the attack I

cannot deal with.

The attack is powerful and will injure me, but I can handle it. The shield is for the unexpected things that I couldn't handle.
