Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Chapter 22 - Waiting For Her

"I won't let the elders hear about this so you don't have to worry. Please look after her, I will take my leave now," Mike said as he turned to leave after taking a last glance at her through the glass walls.

"Farewell," Catherine remarked before she hurried into the large room. Catherine stood far away and watch as her boss scold one of the employees.

She has known this lady standing a few distance away from her for over six years. In fact they met when they were both in their second year in the university, back then this unbearing lady was the sweetest lady she has ever met. She wasn't only beautiful but had a very good heart. A heart that was always willing to help the others but a year after she met her everything about her changed especially her perspective about men.

That is why no matter how cruelly Jasmine treats men she never pities any one of them. She has always tried to talk her out of this habit of hers in seducing men not because she was worried about the men but because she was worried about her encountering harm while doing this.

Seeing how she is doing everything to save her company from her dad she really admires her even more. Although Jasmine has never told her the reason she was trying so hard to win the contract back she knows that she was doing it for all her employees. Even though the company got disbanded Jasmine will still live a comfortable life but that will not be the same for her employees that is why Jasmine is ready to do anything to make sure that her employees jobs are not snatched away from them overnight.

Catherine walks closer to where Jasmine was standing and stood beside her. The both of them have gone a long away both as friends and as employer and employee that is why she made up her mind right there to support her boss with her quest.

After the inspection Jasmine went back to her office on the fiftth floor. Catherine sat at her desk outside her office and continue with her leftover work. She sneak a peep at Jasmine every thrity minutes.

After office hours, Catherine patiently waited for her boss to conclude her work. She heaved a sigh of relieve when she saw Jasmine fold up her work after about two hours of waiting.

"Boss, our men keeping close watch of Mr Jackson just called to inform us that they saw him enter the bar, won't you change so you can go and meet him? You have been dying to meet him again right?" Catherine asked meekly.

"I am not in the right mood to meet him tonight. I am scared I won't be able to keep my already terrible temper in check if he annoys me there," Jamsine said standing up from her black executive chair.

"Ok," Catherine replied as she watched Jasmine approach her seat.

"Steph, let's have a few drink at my Mansion tonight," Jasmine said mellowly.

"Sure, I am always at your service boss...,"

"Not as an employer and employee but as friends or aren't we friends anymore?" Jasmine said standing close to where Catherine was sitting.

"Of course we are good friends and we will always remain good friends forever," Catherine said smiling at her.

"Let's go then," Jasmine said offering her hand to Catherine.

"We will drink until we drop," Catherine said grabbing Jasmine outstretched hand.

Jasmine and Catherine left the company holding hands.

.....

Back in the bar Jeff checked his wristwatch. He turned to face Jackson when he realised that it has been over twenty-five minutes since they arrived in the bar.

"JK, are you sure she is coming. I mean judging from her attitude she should have arrived by now," Jeff said worriedly.

"My men watching her texted me over ten minutes ago that she has left the company, I believe she must be on her way," Jackson replied as he sipped his wine.

"Jack, weren't you so anxious to meet her yesterday but why is it that you don't seem anxious right now?" Steve asked curiously.

"I mean you don't even seem affected that she isn't here yet," Steve added as he waited for Jackson's reply. The two assume something was fishy about Jackson's attitude towards the matter.

"Did you perhaps meet her yesterday behind our backs?" Jeff asked throwing him a suspicious glance.

"Seeing that he didn't reply I guess he did. Maybe Jasmine dealt seriously again with him that is why he kept their encounter a secret from us," Steve added. They were both trying to trick Jackson into saying something but Jackson knowing his friends very well did not take the bait.

"JK, say something a and stop keeping us in suspense, did you really meet her yesterday?" Jeff asked. He could not hide his anxiety.

"It's ok if you don't want to tell us, we will just ask her when she arrives. I am sure she will be more than happy to relay all that transpired between the two of you yesterday....,"
