Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Chapter 114 - Put An End To My Confusion

"You are a famous socialite if not the most popular of them all so don't tell me you don't have anyone to hang out with except me?" Jackson asked pretending like he hated the idea. Anyways he needed to act this way so that Jasmine will not become suspicious of him.

"Apart from Cat, I don't have any close friends. Every lady in the city is all jealous of me while all the men are scared of me so tell me how I could have friends?" Jasmine asked as she draws closer to him.

"Even those who pretend to be my friends badmouth me at my back. Also, I don't trust any goddamn person except Cat that is why I am perfectly ok with her. I don't want to make anyone who will later stab me at the back, my friend," Jasmine said before she looked away.

"Why do you worry about not having friends when you just made those naughty guys your friends? Although they tend to act mischievous they are trustworthy? Even though they never mentioned it I know they like you a lot. They won't be able to reject you if you ask them out so call them whenever you are bored and in need of a friend," Jackson said cooly before he signals his driver to get going.

"Yeah, Steve and Jeff are fun to be with but don't you want to be my friend?" Jasmine said as she used her right hand and turn his face so that he was now facing her.

"No," Jackson said while staring into her eyes.

I want to be your number one best friend, the person you trust the most and most importantly your man and not some casual friend. I want to be more than a friend to you Jasmine.

Jackson thought with his eyes still centred on her sapphire eyeballs.

"Even after teasing you for a long time, you still haven't shown signs of being attracted to me. I wonder who you were thinking of the day you had an erection. Was it me that was on your mind or that silly lady you love?" Jasmine asked in a serious tone.

If I told her that she has always been the one in my mind and heart I will become a dead man but if I say she wasn't the one she might grow to hate me so neither of these options is good.

Jackson thought as he tried to come up with a reply to give her.

"There are times you act like you are attracted to me while other times you act as though you hate me a lot. To put an end to my confusion, tell me what I want to know," Jasmine said as her hand started crawling upon his chest.

"Why are you so anxious to know it? You have never told me any of your secrets so why should I tell you mine? Also, we are not friends so why should I tell you things about myself?" Jackson repeated the same words she said to him.

"You are no fun to play with," Jasmine hit his chest before she pulled away from him.

....

Three months later, Jasmine was the same as usual. Her relationship with Jackson did not improve. Every advance made by Jackson get close to her proves abortive.

With the launch of her company's new game, she did not have time to spare for any trivia things. Any spare time she has was used to prepare meals for Jackson.

"Jasmine, your father called earlier to threaten that he will make sure our company closed down within two weeks if you fail to go on a date with your future husband," Catherine who just entered the office announced.

"I know why he said that. I mean how could he not be mad at me when I did not show up at the dinner meeting that I was supposed to introduce me to my in-laws," Jasmine said smiling.

"Yeah, I recall that your wedding was supposed to be held two months ago according to your father's plan but each time he tries to schedule the wedding you always come up with one excuse or the other to cancel the wedding day. I don't know whether I should be proud of you or scold you for doing this to your father," Catherine wearing a green fitted skirt and a white short sleeve shirt said smiling back at her.

"Of course you should congratulate your best friend for being very smart. I was able to ditch my wedding because of my good brains," Jasmine said as she stood up in full grace to reveal her white trousers and a white shirt whose first two buttons were unbuttoned to reveal her cleavage.

"I am proud of you but I would love to see what your husband looks like. Because you prohibited him and your father's assistant from telling you his surname I can't even search for him using google or any other social media," Catherine complained but in a playful manner.

"Husband?" Jasmine remarked as she rolled her eyes disgustedly.

"Although Kai is a cool guy, who said I was gonna marry him?" Jasmine asked. Catherine was not surprised to hear her best friend's remark. All that was on her mind was to know Jasmine's plans.

"If you don't want to marry him then how are you gonna get out of this strange marriage mess without incurring the wrath of your father. Your mum might go easy on you but your father is just impossible. There is no escape route you know that very well," Catherine said in a calm tone as they both sat on the same couch.

"Even though I have to make out with some random guy in front of my parent and Kai just to make them call off the wedding permanently, I won't relent to do that. I know this will make my father go crazy but I don't care. The least he would do is disown me, nothing more," Jasmine said in a serious tone.
